  • Awful App

    I don't know how it got so many positive reviews. I downloaded it trusting the reviews but got dissappointed. If you don't subscribe to their paid option it keeps displaying messages inviting you to subscribe in a disturbing way.

  • Easy to use and extremely useful

    Made my performance review a breeze because I knew exactly what fraction of my time I spend on each task.

  • Sampling is cool. Interface is awful

    I like that this tracks time without requiring me to do anything.

    However, I made a mistake and clicked the wrong button and I can't fix it. The support docs say that you can edit those kinds of mistakes manually. In my experience this was not possible.

    Also if you want to see your data in order to find patterns you need to export it. The only thing that the interface will do is tell you a summary by today, yesterday, this week, last week, this month, this year, all time. If you want to look at last month or last year, too bad. I'm canceling my subscription. I need something I can edit to be accurate and that actually helps me understand my data.

    Thanks for your review and great to read the time tracking method works well for you. Regarding adjusting entries: please make sure you're viewing a day (rather than a specific week, month, etc.) so that Daily understand for what day you're adjusting. I understand this might be a bit confusing and is something I'm looking at to improve.   • Daily keeps my timesheet organized and the creator is great to work with

    This is such an easy tool, I've been using it for almost probably about 5 years now and really don't know how I lived without it. When you deal with work timesheets, you don't want to be in there constantly, and with this, I go about my normal day and track easily as the day goes on. And it's great for keeping track of my side project time too. Love!

    Niel, the creator, is very hands on with this app and is always sending out updates and surveys to see what peple are looking for. And he helped me with the latest update to make sure it was running properly.

  • Love it for what it does and doesn't do

    It's simple and it stays out of the way. It also reminds me to use it which is nice considering many other time tracking solutions I've used in the past would simply be forgotten. With Daily, I tell it which hours of the week I want to be tracking time on, and during those times a simple little popup will ask me what I'm doing. I quickly tell it what I'm up to and click a button and it goes back to the background and I go back to work. It occaisionally checks in with me to ask if I'm still working on the same thing. If yes, I click a button and continue working. If I need to take a break I can quickly disable time tracking for a half hour, an hour, or even the rest of the day if I end up finishing early. I love this app.

  • Great app

    I've always wanted to use time-tracking, and Daily is the first thing that's actually stuck. I hope the author will play with some more ideas like Pomodoro integration and an iPhone app that asks you what you're doing when off-screen.

  • A game changing app

    Totally transforms the way I record my time. The few missing features are apparently already under development. Very happy to be supporting this project.

  • Perfect time tracking

    My time is billable to various clients, so I need to track closely what I'm doing throughout the day, even if I'm jumping around between many tasks. I can't overstate the value of the Daily app and the robust algorithm for timing when to ask me what I'm doing. I've been using Daily for several weeks and it's eased my stress around tracking my time.

  • Great app - but a bit shy!

    I've been looking for an app like this for years. Daily does almost everything I need. It pops up regularly to ask what I'm doing and it's easy to add activities and to extract data from. I can now see how much to invoice (and how much I'm overworking).
    But it's shy! The icon doesn't tell me the app name.
