  • A complete disaster. How embarrassing for the Megaplex.

    Since the transition to the Megaplex’ new system, I have not been able to sign in to my Megaplex account, or use my existing Megaplex rewards card for a anything on the Megaplex app or website. Requests for assistance and troubleshooting were ignored my Megaplex management. I am doubtful that I will ever trust the functionality of or, for that matter, ever again rely on or have the Megaplex app be my go-to source in the future for ticket purchases unless all of the “bugs” are worked out in the software so the product is actually ready to go live.

  • Unfortunate, Total Failure

    The transition to the new app and rewards system was unfortunately a total failure. As a very loyal customer, it pains me to say this but it’s true. I’m only writing this review to provide feedback as a favor from a loyal patron. I really hope someone reads this:

    1. Choosing rewards online before I go to the movies is so non-intuitive and clumsy. Not to mention the fact I have to login to a different account to do it. At a minimum, make it available in the app. Better, make all the items worth some value and let me just get it right at the register.
    2. In order to search for movies, I have to “add” them to my theaters. What would be easier is let me shop all the theaters and allow me to choose a favorite or something. I live in South Jordan and I almost gave up when I was in St. George last week. It was that bad.
    3. I can’t store payment information in the app and the intervention with the payment processor is so clunky. I can’t even use a password manager to auto fill credit card information. The fact that I have to manually enter everything including my address is a horrible experience, and effectively a dealbreaker.

    I realize it may sound like I’m asking a lot, but this is the new standard. There is no real loyalty anymore, only convenience. And, the new systems have ruined a process that was oddly more convenient.

  • If it’s not broken, don’t fix it...

    What business that makes as much money as Megaplex launches all new technologies at the same time that do not work. Aside from kiosks not accepting phone numbers for rewards and now having to stand in line, making the kiosks useless for frequent points users... but this app took away everything I could do before. It doesn’t save my rewards number and doesn’t pull it when giving my phone number. I can’t even do that at the theater unless I’m talking to a person face to face. It doesn’t store my payment information. And on top of it all, I set the app AND phone to not receive notifications from this app but every time I’m within a mile of a theater, my phone starts blowing up with pop ups telling me I’m near the theater, even when I’m in a movie, it is popping up every 15 minutes or so, I have to turn my phone completely off to get rid of the obnoxious notifications. I had to delete the app because it was so frustrating... especially after speaking with a manager at a theater asking about the app and kiosks and his reaction was, “we’re working on it”... (uh... for almost a year?) You don’t launch a product if it doesn’t work yet! I advise returning to the old one and relaunch this one after the kinks have been ironed out.

  • Worst App Ever!!

    Not sure why Megaplex went to this app, but it’s the biggest mistake ever. You have to go to a website instead of claiming rewards right on the app. It’s almost as if they’ve made it difficult and confusing to discourage customers from using the reward system. We love Megaplex, but this app needs more than a few bug fixes, it needs a major overhaul! When you makes changes, it should be for the better.

  • No iPhone X size.

    Can’t believe this app still doesn’t fit iPhone X screen. How old school is this app in fact all the movie theater apps are terrible. The whole buying process and experience is pretty old feeling and terrible to say the least. Needs Apple Pay and better integration with with Apple wallet and is pretty clunky. The UI of any of my theater apps is just pathetic. They need to work on keeping up with the times on apps and the whole buying process being ultra convenient and futuristic like many products are these days.

  • Waaaay better!!

    So glad I downloaded the newest version of this app, it is like night and day from how it used to function!! What used to be a painful process lasting 30+ minutes to purchase tix is now 5 minutes tops! The new app is so much more responsive, doesn't hang, and now it even saves my rewards card and credit card numbers for easy future purchases and rewards!! Plus, you can view your rewards summary of points too so you know how close you are to the next reward level! Way to go megaplex for FINALLY listening to your users and delivering a much much much better app and functionality!
