Steer clear!!!!!

Hidden charges everywhere, still have to pay extra insurance when you rock up to get your car and can’t even cancel due to the booking policy. Theses guys are a dodgy as they come. Much better of to book direct with the car company.
Price you agreed on is not in the booking form and mysteriously goes up when you go to pay as well.

App is fine, vendors are scammers

Avoid using this app to book your rental. They are not transparent at all with the price and hidden fees. I got a price of 1400$ (23$ per day) for 55 days to book a rental. I made sure I read all the fine print to avoid any surprises. Upon booking and putting down a deposit, I get the contact info of the car rental agency who doesn’t provide their actual address or location until you are pass the time frame when the deposit is no longer refundable.

Upon receiving the address and location i then see the reviews of the place and find out I just got completely scammed. Hoping I am wrong, I reach the place and they tell me all the hidden fees / mandatory insurance and all these other fees which aren’t communicated at all on this app.

The price of the rental literally more than doubled from 1400$ to 2900$!!!

It was either I take the rental at that point or completely lose my deposit.

Avoid this app like the plague!!

There is no support team at this company

I booked cars many times with this company and hav never had any issue by this year. Now I cannot reset the password for my account which had been used for several years - the web page tells me my email is not confirmed. How can this be? I dropped multiple e-mails to support team where asked to help me to send the link to my e-mail (which is same e-mail as used for account) to reset the password - no response at all. I called by phone - the manager told me to keep writing e-mails rather than to call them.
This is the only painful moment preventing me from the high rate of this app/company.

Worst Customer Service Period!!!!!!!

Attempting to rent a car for my mother who was no longer able to rent the car for the three weeks that was scheduled in advanced. So hey why not reach out to customer service for customer support that's needed in this moment right?? 😑. The customer service Agent said unless your issues arised before the 48 hours there is nothing we can do to help. Ok well maybe a manager could help right?? 😑. Once asked about the manager the agent says none is available and he don't know when any would be available he'd let them know to call me 🤙 back. So trust the agent and wait for a call back right because no way they would charge you a complete price for a reservation you did not rent right? 😑 . No refund and no help🙂‍↔️ please don't waste your time or money with this app or their affiliates.

Horrible service, waste of money

I lost money with economy bookings. Reserved a car for 5 passengers. The car rental did not have the reserved car and only had the car with only 4 safety seat belts. We are a family of 5 people and obviously could not drive it.
Ended up with overpaying for a taxi in order to get to the destination point.
Economy Bookings do not have any customer service that could help with to resolve the isssue. You can only contact them via email for all cancellations and refunds. They replies days after requests.
The car rental agency do not have any communication with them as well.
In general, they refused to refund the booking even though I did not use their service. And it was not my fault.

So, you may try to use them as their pricing seems like a good bargain. You’ll think that you’ll save a few bucks but then will end up losing hundreds.

Veer poor service

This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Despite making arrangements to pick up a car, I was told upon arrival that I did not have the proper documentation, and the staff's behavior was not pleasant. They did not communicate any of this information to me beforehand, causing unnecessary inconvenience and disappointment. I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service provided. I have attempted to contact the call center number multiple times, but I have not received any response. Additionally, I have also submitted a request through the app, but I have not received any update on the status of my request. I am not sure why it is taking so long for my issue to be addressed.

Biggest Scam - Avoid at all cost

Economy Booking is a scam! They lure you in with cheap prices, but it’s all smoke and mirrors. I booked a car through them, only to be denied at the rental location due to an undisclosed residency restriction. Worse, they push their so-called "Full Coverage" insurance, which is anything but full coverage. It only covers minimal damage, far from what you’d expect from something named “Full Coverage”. When I questioned them about the coverage, they rudely told me I should have read the fine print on their site. Their customer service is awful and rude, and getting a refund for the car they never even rented to me is impossible. Save yourself the headache and book directly with a reputable company. Avoid Economy Booking at all costs.

No refund

I deserve my refund but they are telling me I was a no show to pickup my vehicle as I arrived prompt and on time. The guy tells me that I can’t pickup the car because I don’t have a flight #. While on the website going through the whole rental process, it DOES NOT state: you must a have a flight # in order to pickup. If I’m already there on time for my pickup how can I cancel anything ? The guy at Thrifty tells me to contact economy bookings to attempt to get my pickup location changed but they only receive emails. No one was a help, has tried to help. I’m only receiving emails telling me I was a no show which isn’t true. This is a scam site. I’ll continue to leave reviews until my hard earned money is refunded. Because as it’s been at least a week, that I should still have this vehicle but I don’t have one.

Scam artists

Trust me, you don't want to use this app. They will let you pay with a debit card, and then require a credit card, but not a digital credit card, it has to be a physical card. And then they will claim they will give you a refund, but then when you call to inquire about the refund you will be talked to like you are trash and hung up on.

UPDATE the developer reached out but did not address the biggest issue: I WAS HUNG UP ON TWICE. listen to the recordings, i was polite as possible, calm and explained the situation, no one offered me a credit to the e-wallet, the first man said "no credit card no car" laughing and hung up when i asked for a supervisor. the second lady called me a liar, told me there was no such thing as a supervisor, and transferred me to a disconnected number when i asked for one. until these issues are addressed, i WILL NOT change my rating. I spoke to your staff with respect and got spit on (figuratively) in return.
