Scam artists

Trust me, you don't want to use this app. They will let you pay with a debit card, and then require a credit card, but not a digital credit card, it has to be a physical card. And then they will claim they will give you a refund, but then when you call to inquire about the refund you will be talked to like you are trash and hung up on.

The absolute worst

This company and their app is the absolute worst company to go thru. Never again. Completely lost my first reservation. Even though i had the paperwork copied down. Did my second reservation thru them and made sure I printed it out. 4 days into my vacation, wouldn’t you know it, according to the phone app, they lost this one too. My number doesnt exist. Dont give this half wit company any business. They’re useless.

Beware

If you book anywhere and need to cancel they will charge you 60 euros. What a scam. It’s in their fine print as well as only for use within the Province which I didn’t notice. Tried to cancel 10 minutes after booking but no choice. Had to pay their scam admin fee. Stay away

Beware of Hidden Costs and Misleading Practices at Economy Booking

I recently had a disappointing experience with Economy Booking that I feel compelled to share. Initially, they seemed to offer a great deal: $3,600 for a 45-day car rental with full coverage. However, their terms include a strict no-refund policy, which should have been a red flag.

The real trouble began when I made the payment. Despite the promise of full coverage, the lease I signed at the rental desk was only $3,600 without any coverage. When I called to clarify, I was informed that while they advertise full coverage, the actual insurance must be paid separately to the rental company, adding an unexpected $4,160, bringing the total to $7,760.

To add to my frustration, had I booked directly with Hertz or Dollar, the total cost with full coverage would have been $4,700. While slightly more expensive, it would have saved me the headache and ensured I knew exactly what I was paying for upfront.

In conclusion, my advice is to avoid Economy Booking. Their practices are misleading, and the lack of transparency can lead to unexpected costs and significant frustration.

Avoid!!! They are not free cancellation

They advertise free cancellation but will charge you $100 to refund to your bank account! Look elsewhere!!

Don’t trust this site!

Made a reservation on the site, got a confirmation number and a great price. BUT…never got the promised confirmation email. As I needed the car for a trip, I naively went to the airport, thinking surely someone could help. Nope, they looked at me like they’d never heard of me, because they hadn’t! That’s it in a nutshell….next time I’ll pay the higher price to get a promised product. Thinking’ I was scammed here…..um, I was!

Hided charges which triple initial car rental price

The service does nothing apart from the aggregating search. You cannot amend the booking, only cancel and book new.

The end car rental agent Alamo / Enterprise has hided charges mandatory demand of insurance which doubled initial car rental price or require an obligatory condition to pay full car price in case of even minimal damage, scratch or dent. I had to pay double price to have 0 franchised insurance, the insurance with franchisee of 1500€ cost 350€ for 2 weeks.

In the end of the trip I had no issues but after two weeks was charged from my bank card for another 450€ by Alamo / Enterprise having no notification neither email, call or something explaining what for they have changed me for.

In a result I paid triple price.

The car itself was clean, fresh and in good technical state.
The position line that the car provided was VW Passat instead of Peugeot which is more comfortable, but for the triple price if I would know - I would select much better model and not get stressed wasting my and family time in airport

Thieves

Do not book with this company; they are nothing but thieves. Our experience with them was a nightmare from start to finish. We reserved a car with them, meticulously ensuring that we followed their credit card policy. However, upon arriving at the pick-up location, which was inconveniently located away from the airport and required two shuttles to access, we were met with nothing but frustration.

The individual at the front desk bluntly informed us that they would not accept our credit card and promptly proceeded to cancel our reservation without any consideration. Despite receiving assurance of a refund within 48 hours and being provided with a receipt, our ordeal was far from over.

After patiently waiting for two weeks, there was no sign of the promised refund. Multiple emails were sent with the receipt attached, only to receive dismissive responses claiming that we would not be refunded due to a supposed "no show." It has now been nearly a month, and we are still embroiled in a battle to reclaim our rightfully owed money from these unscrupulous individuals.

In summary, our experience with Economybooks was an absolute disaster, characterized by deceit, incompetence, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this company at all costs.

Unbelievable and horrible experience

I booked a UTE and received a email shows successfully reservation. Once I was been pick up at the Sydeny Airport Europe counter the staff said they don't have this car and she already cancel in her system. She said Economy Bookings will refund money to me. I am not happy because no body let me know before that.

Worse things were to come. Economy booking refused to refund the money and refusing to admin that it was their fault.

I hope more persons know the story happened on me. This is a form of fraud, hopefully not more people fall for it.
