Life changing
I was saddened after getting this app to see all the negative comments about the cost. Wow $29 a year! Many pay that for a cup of coffee every week. I have a son who develops apps and it is so much work. I appreciate all the people involved in the making of Abide. The amount of collaboration and organization to form this kind of amazing soul searching meditation could only be the Lord doing it. I cant even imagine all the pieces parts that went into making Abide. I start my day with something from this app and everyday, God allows me to grow, through tears, revelation, healing, researching and memorizing the meditation scriptures. Im truly amazed at this perfect tool made by God just for me. Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit and making this technology part of Gods work.. dont be discouraged by those who want it free, id pay even more for the opportunity. I love that it furthers this ministry. Money is just the tool God uses to spread the gospel. Hanging on to the money He provides withholds God. Worth Every Penny. A Small Suggestion
I’ve been using Abide for over a year now and am so glad I have! It’s caused me to become more intentional about taking time out of my day to meditate/pray. Like it’s literally so easy you can use it on lunch breaks, for example, with headphones. It’s such a resource-rich app, which brings me to my one suggestion- make things easier to find. Maybe I’m missing it somewhere, but there doesn’t seem to be a simple”search” button, which is strange considering the number of guides there are on the app. If this could be added, where one could search by a keyword, for example, and related guides pop up, that would be great! Otherwise, I really don’t mind paying $. If I can pay the same price for a new pair of shoes/clothes/Netflix, etc, I can certainly do same for an app that will be spiritually edifying. Soo disappointed
I want to start off saying I LOVE THIS APP, it’s absolutely incredible!! *BUT* I am highly disappointed that it’s not free or even a lower cost. I wish I knew that before hand. It has helped me but I feel it was all for nothing because of the price. I read and understand it helps with scholarships but to that i ask that you have different tiers then. Like your $40+ be for your pro membership, then like $15 for regular. I currently want to use this app as it’s brought me closer to God but I don’t have the money to pay so much for this. So I will delete this app with major dissatisfaction. There are so many worldly meditation apps that are free, so I feel that this is a big deterrent especially as most people will continue to live In Darkness with ungodly meditations rather than pay for a Christian app. There are many reviews of disappointed people and I feel this is not off to the best start. Suggestion
I too was disappointed when I realized it was only a trial. I would like to humbly offer a suggestion to the developers. Try putting it out there for free and accepting donations via PayPal or Venmo. I truly believe if you trust the Lord he will supply your needs while allowing you to help hurting people find Jesus. I can say this with confidence because we have been in full-time ministry for 28 years reaching kids in public schools for Jesus. We provide teaching materials to our volunteers and backpack Bibles to every child we reach, which is in the thousands after all these years. We were able to do all this plus raise six kids of our own, all on donations from people who believed in what we do. We never ask for money or charge for anything we do, God just always supplied our every need. It wasn’t always easy but we trusted Him and He has been faithful to us. I just want to encourage you with this testimony. I know you offer scholarships from your ministry, but many hurting people find it hard to ask for financial help. It would be wonderful if all of it was free and God supplied the means for you to continue your great work. God bless you and thank you for your wonderful ministry. Hi and please forgive me for my delayed response! Please know we started with donations, it did not work, but we know God is watching over us! When you download Abide, it is free! Please know we ask for financial support (through subscriptions) due to the expense of the delivery platform and associated IT costs. Abide employs many Christian people in a full or part-time capacity. Our staff is incredibly skilled and live to see the engagement of God's word increase in the hearts and minds of all throughout the world. Each employee has committed to work Monday - Friday (and often on weekends) to do just that! So when you subscribe to Abide, you are not only assisting with the overall cost of providing longer meditations, you are actually helping provide for the basic needs of each Abide team member and their families by helping put food on their table, clothes on their back and a roof over their head. You are also blessing them with the opportunity to come to work, each day, and provide you with the top Christian Mediation app on the market today! When was the last time you were still? In a world of instant gratification and hurry, Abide invites us to slow down and be still before the Lord in prayer, meditation and listening.
I first discovered the app a couple of years ago and thought it was a good aid to my time of “soaking” (waiting and receiving from God through worship music). The authors, recordings and guides are gentle, and very authentic. It’s helped me to get off my device and focus on the word of God and beauty of Jesus.
Kudos to the developers and team at carpenters code for creating a beautifully designed and highly functional app that has really blessed me.
The annual membership fee is well worth it when you consider what you’re getting compared to, let’s see, a counselor, going to a conference or purchasing books/music on the various topics. Not everything has to be given for free and these developers are well worth their wages. I’d rather give $40/yr to someone who is committed to producing content that is good for me than for streaming services that ultimately leave you empty and dry.
With the release of playback through airplay, I can now enjoy these meditations from my airplay enabled speakers. (Finally!)

I am a Christian counselor and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. I am keenly aware there are spiritually dangerous meditation practices/apps out there. I was thrilled to see a Christian meditation app and more than happy to pay for this service and to support the ministry for others. I also thought it was very clear, not at all deceiving that it was a self pay app and a fair price for the potential benefit. However, I think it is not really a meditation app for a few reasons. First we are to meditate on the word of God and this is a lot of talking by someone else. Second, it is waaayyyy to fast and busy for real meditation and experiencing the presence of God. My brain processes things pretty fast, but not this fast. So I end up trying to focus on each word as it rushes past and getting mostly just frustrated. Third, there is no time or coaching to train the mind to the present using sensory prompts. If we are not in the present we are not experiencing God fully since we are only alive in the present moment, unlike Him who is eternally present. I really wanted this to provide me all those supports for truly abiding with Him and I am sad it did not. Thank you for your ministry and the passion for the Lord that drives it. Right out of the gate...
I’m surprised with the fact that the app description describes an annual fee of $30 which I’m already quite hesitant to pay not because it’s overly expensive, in and of itself, but because there are several Membership situations out there that accumulate to a lot of money per month (e.g. Netflix, Spotify and this app, or that app etc.). Regardless, I thought I’d give it a one year try (as two weeks is simply not a long enough trial period in these modern days of busyness) . So, when I downloaded the app and got to the page that suggested a membership, the fee was $40 not $30 as advertised. Keep your advertisement current people!
Perhaps, also take a lesson from the TV and music apps. They give access to limited content which allows the new user to choose if they want more but can also enjoy some of the content free from fees. Perhaps you don’t need the business but I think in this way you might also get more subscriptions. Also, TV apps give a longer trial period. I think that this is better for a person trying to make a decision whether or not they’re going to invest in yet another application that requires a subscription. And, for the company’s potential benefit, might also give the person trial’ing enough time to fall in love with it and want to subscribe.

My name is Jennifer Frantzis & I found Abide about 4 yrs ago. Since then then it has given me a Daily Avenue to have not just my own prayer 🙏🏻 life, but one in unity & communion with fellowship with my brothers & sisters in Christ. This has been very enriching and I feel the Holy Spirit’s guidance in taking me to prayers in where the Lord needs me to be in & for whom needs prayer 🙏🏻 which I am so grateful for. Also when I started my girls were younger in school 🏫, but they have watched me do this faithfully over the years. I didn’t even realize that by using Abide it was an example to them! They both now use Abide every day to start their daily prayers! How Awesome 👏🏻 God ✝️🙏🏻 works!!? All due to a little app on a phone 📲 called ABIDE!! The first 14 days are free then it cost $30 but it’s worth the $30. I’m not a religious person but I am spiritual and this has helped me through this year after my dad died a long painful death and I was losing my house, and my darkest times when I thought God and everyone forgot about me. One night I was sitting on the side of my bed crying and trying to pray and I said, in this day and age there has to be an app to help you pray and meditate. I didn’t want one that was denominational, I wanted one that spoke to me and just laid it out there. And I came across Abide. I downloaded the app and said if it doesn’t work I’ll try another. I have never tired another.!!!!!!!
When my anxiety it’s at it it’s highest or I feel lost and I need guidance, I will put this on and hit repeat until I am peaceful again and some days it’s playing all day in the background while I’m working and all night while I’m sleeping. Trust me if you can afford the $30 on junk, coffee every morning, etc it will be the best money you have every spent. I went without my Starbucks for that pay period and I don’t regret it and if the app asks again in a year I’ll do it again.Show lessTLove71

This has changed everything! I would go through times of anxiety and first started using this each night to help me sleep...I was always crashed out within 30mins and felt God bring a peace over me in these times.
The daily devotions have been really encouraging and help bring me in line with the Lords perspective.
I have recommended this to as many people as possible and know at least 30 people have respond how much they have enjoyed this app also.
