  • Poor design

    This app needs some serious work. The navigation is very confusing and error handling very poor. If it helps anyone else, we had a flight time change and the app correctly showed this but nowhere did it say we had to call the booking agent to actually accept the change. The app didn’t give any direction and so behaved in a way where you couldn’t check in. The app would keep logging out, be unresponsive sometimes and the menu would change and lose options. As a product manager myself, I would never allow such a poor design out to the public. Wasted my time and caused frustration.
    Update: To the dev that wrote the response below… I now understand what the problem was but the point was that the UX was so poor it was confusing, wasted my time and caused frustration for me and my wife. This needs looking at in order to give a user centric experience.

    Hi, if there is no check box available for you to accept your flight time changes, then this was booked through a travel agent. They will need to accept the change for you before you can access manage my booking and check in. The number for them can be found on the schedule change notice you have mentioned when you log in.
  • Would only travel with Jet2

    Came back from a holiday recently with Jet2. Despite all of the airport and baggage issues over the May half term, we had no problems at all and the communication through the app was very reassuring and useful. During the holiday, we received useful information about our return journey.

    Upon return, we were keen to book another holiday. We received a discount by booking through the app. After lots of research, I was delighted to find the hotel I really wanted available through Jet2. The date checker was fantastic and allowed us to save a lot of money by altering our dates by a few days. The accommodation options with the simple +/-£ made this an easy decision to make and then being able to alter the flight times with clear pricing also allowed us to choose the best times to suit us as a family with young children. Fantastic!

  • All great so far

    Flew out of Bristol with Jet2 Sunday 12th June 2022. After all the trouble and publicity of queues, lost luggage and cancelled flights, I was very worried. But at Bristol airport when we arrived at 3am Sunday morning there was no queue outside, went inside for a short break and a coffee. Then we could book in our luggage. We had time to go to duty free and buy a bottle of Gordans Lemon Gin to take with us. Then not too long to wait and boarding our flight. All good. Got luggage at Miteleyni small airport and straight on bus to Hary’s Rose our apartment hotel. Very nice and relaxing. Anaxos beach a short walk away and all bordered by cafe, bars, restaurants, where you can use sunbeds all day. Only got 4 days left out of 14, but had lovely time, peace and quiet and met some nice people. Hope our trip home goes well too. So 10 out of 10 so far

  • Gava Waterman Hotel Brac

    This is a very good hotel complex.
    Scrupulously clean, well maintained grounds are surrounded by Pine trees and as the sun shines and breeze blows the smell of the forest is intoxicating .
    The staff are generally very friendly and helpful.
    So here are a few tips before you arrive here.
    Be aware it’s about 4 hours transfer between split and the hotel, so be prepared for that.
    Make sure you know what room you are going to. We asked for a Junior Suite, but apparently the deluxe double is better…..so the morale is check it out carefully before you go.
    The rooms with the swimming pools look wonderful.
    The food is generally very good, but there are staff shortages here too, so be aware you might have to queue for food sometimes.
    But don’t worry, there’s always loads of food here.
    3pm pizza and snacks, which are super.
    Remember to say thanks to the staff, they are all working very hard.
    The facilities for families and children are great.
    Milna is about 2km away, it’s a pleasant late afternoon walk in.
    It’s a fantastic little port with some excellent restaurants round the bay.
    Car hire, expect to pay about £85 per day for a small car.
    Free shuttle bus from hotel, taxi back costs between 5 -7 euros.
    The sea round the resort is a divers dream, crystal clear and fantastically clean too.
    All in all, a great place to have a relaxing holiday.

  • Excellent app to book a holiday

    I haven’t booked a package holiday with Jet2 before and I was really pleased to find the process was really easy, apart from having too many choices. We narrowed our choices down eventually and were actually given a discount of £100 during the process, as well as finding that 10kg hand luggage, 22kg hold luggage and our coach transfers were included in the already great price. I had heard that Jet2 had a good reputation, which they proved following their fair treatment of their clients during the period of flight & holiday cancellations during the initial Covid lockdowns. I thought I would give them a try and they haven’t disappointed. If the holiday is anything like the standard of the booking process, I will be very pleased. We’re soooo looking forward to it. 😀

    Flew with you for the first time this year ,couldn’t fault it myself .My two daughters who were with me had seats each side of the isle ,there was an empty row in front ,so asked could they sit together as one of them are quite deaf ,she said yes as long as you don’t move until the seat belt lights go out which she did , but one of the flight attendants came up to her and was quite nasty saying I told you not to move until the lights went out ,made my daughter feel so small ,but my daughter pointed out that the lights had gone out ,so she had to apologise has the attendant hadn’t noticed.,my daughter is 59 she spoke to her like a little child . Really upset my daughter . She tried to be nice to her as we got off the plane but my daughter ignored her , On saying that I will certainly fly with you again as other than that it was the best flight I have flown on .

    I love the most recent updates with all of the holiday information at the click of a button 👏the only thing that is annoying me atm is that the current competition “Bid for a break “ is promoted as being available through the “Offers “ tab. I have not got it on my app at all; despite my having had the app on both my iPad and iPhone and fully updated with the latest iOS updates. I have reported this to Jet2holidays but had no feedback as yet. When this is resolved; I will definitely revise my star rating 🤞 UPDATE 1/9/21 Still isn’t showing the whole range of “Offers “; I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and they magically reappeared! I quickly entered the “Bid for a break “ competition while it was there ; submitted it and then they disappeared again and are still missing!

    I still have the same problem and Jet2holidays insists that there isn’t a problem; THERE IS! I’m not making it up!

  • Good app but searching is far too specific

    The app is very good and very user-friendly – the information is displayed clearly, though it doesn’t seem optimised for the latest iPhone screen sizes.

    The biggest drawback (and this isn’t just limited to the app) is that Jet2holidays only lets you search one holiday location at a time.

    Very often, when I’m searching for a holiday, I don’t have a specific destination in mind and want to be able to choose from a dozen or so holiday destinations (I’m sure many others are the same) yet for reasons I can’t figure out, you can’t do this – you have to specify an individual country to search.

    This badly lets the app down and means I have to sift through a dozen searches to make a decision, which I can easily do in a single search on other equivalent websites.

    Far less established travel operators offer this flexibility with their searching so it is confusing as to why Jet2holidays insists on such limitations.

    It’s a shame as I’ve travelled with Jet2 twice before and have always found their attention to detail to be above the likes of TUI and Thomas Cook – sadly, though, this doesn’t extend to their holiday searching.

    Hopefully look forward to this functionality being added soon, though I’ve previously pointed this out to Jet2 over the past couple of years without anything changing.
