I love it, but here’s a recommendation
I honestly love it. It’s extremely handy and just fun to play around with. However, for some languages, they are only available for text and sometimes I can’t pronounce the phrase I’m trying to say. I think that it would be handy to have all of them say the phrase in the language you are translating to, as it would be easier to try and say it. Also, I was wondering whether you could put some other languages on there, for example, Hawaiian. Other than that, it was a lot of fun to use and was extremely helpful too.Show lessBananallanah
The Best translation app I have tried
I sat down at a table of only Japanese speaking people recently. I scrambled to find a way to communicate. When I found the speech to speech aspect of this app, the evening transformed and became one of the best memories I will ever have. This app breaks down barriers between people Awesome!!
I wish there was a way to copy text from a text message in a different language and paste into this app for translation . Like Google translate. So i find myself using both apps to communicate. If there is a way to do this in this app, please let me knowShow lessCBMann
Be upfront please
The ad for this just came up on my feed and this is something I would use a lot: great idea! I was all set to post details to my work community.
However, I had downloaded app already when a thank you for payment message came up. At no point was I informed this was a subscription prior to that.
Coming up on our feeds is a great way to get exposure but you can equally let us know on that first visual that this is a paid subscription and make the free trial more obvious. After all, we have to trust your brand to tell others...Show lessBig Machax

You received the message you are describing because you had purchased the upgrade from Apple. I am trying to fix the issue I have with this app with the support team, and I am getting nowhere for a month now. Wen I purchased the app it had an option to speak and translate from Bulgarian to English. I did the huge mistake to subscribe and pay for one year 39$ and this option stopped working. It keeps giving me a message that I am offline and the voice option is not available, just the write. I purchased it so I can use the speak and translate. I contacted the support, they usually reply in a week after your email and they are sending me info to cancel. Even if I do it cancelled after the subscription period of one year. So basically I spent 39$ for something that does not work, no one addressed my question about this offline bs, and it is totally waste of moneyShow lessno one 1234567
Wouldn’t recommend
I bought this to use at work. I am a nurse and thought this would come in handy. Every patient I’ve tried to use this with has not been able to under stand what the translation is saying. I reached out to the company after two days and asked how I could cancel my subscription and they never got back to me. I had assumed that meant they deactivated my account for me but that was not the case. Instead they drained my account!!😡 would not recommend use google translate. This app isn’t even easy to use. I took my a lot of clicking to figure out how to switch languages and I considered myself teach savvy. Don’t buy, waste of money.
Edit**: the company responds to my post with what is on their website. Like obviously I contacted them because I couldn’t figure it out. Like the company is literally no help even when being reviewed. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.Show lessYomommasougly

I’m sick of it. I literally use it everyday when there’s something I really need to explain to my girlfriend. The problem is when it goes to translate it hangs up. I can be in the middle of telling her something very important and it just sits there.... hung. The translator “button” you press just spins and it doesn’t return a translation. Why don’t free translators do this? So I have to kill the app and reopen. Sometimes I have to do that a few times before I can get it to cooperate. I have been doing automatic updates, so I know I’m at the latest version.
I tricked myself into thinking that a paid app would ENSURE that it would ease and speed up the translation process on a day to day basis. If I keep using this trash, I’ll end up throwing my phone through the wall. I’m done with it. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. IT NEVER IMPROVED!!!!!!!Show lessTarterCarter

Your either using google or Microsoft Translation api (which is free) so the excuse that subscription develops translations or the app doesn’t work. What’s worse, they are more free and better alternatives than this. I would rather pay a one time fee upfront rather than join this subscription slavery. You won’t care anyway cuz that’s all you care about- money.Show lessmatthx

I downloaded this app to trial for translating Cantonese, I was quite impressed that a Cantonese option even existed. After trialling it, the app was ok. but not perfect - though understandably Cantonese is a very hard language to translate, even for local speakers. What I found frustrating was that there was no option to easily manage the subscription within the app and instead I had to click through various menus in iPhone settings. Please add an option to manage the subscription within the app - it could also improve the apps overall ratings. I for one would have given it 4 stars rather than 1.Show lessJames.R.87

My boyfriend downloaded this app ages ago and he doesn’t even have it installed anymore, and then out of nowhere I discover it’s been charging my card monthly? God knows how long they’ve been taking money out of my pocket without notifying us at all! Apple are only able to refund the last two transactions and I am furious. Don’t install this app unless you want to get scammed.
Edit: I’ve been looking at some other review and seeing the responses from the app developers. It’s actually laughable. This app is clearly built to trick people into a monthly subscription. How can you say it’s our responsibility to cancel the subscription when we don’t even know about it! This shouldn't be on the App Store. I don’t know how good the app itself is because because I’m too afraid to try it 😂 but if you want this app to be half decent then stop trying to scam people out of their hard earned money. Paid for premium and am still getting hit with the purchase premium notifications and other pop ups. I’ve used it a handful of times and 4 out of 5 times it doesn’t translate what I’m saying. For example I was using it to translate information about a kitchen remodel project to the nice worker who only speaks Spanish and the translation said something along the likes of “get drunk” and hinged instead of “did you know we are changing the cabinet hinges?”
So once again, there are better apps than this for translation. My advise is you should seriously look at another. This app needs some work in my opinion.Show lesshibs99
