  • Doesn’t work 90% of the time

    Very frustrating to use. Hardly ever opens first try. Often have to close every app on phone for this to work then sometimes it still doesn’t work. Makes checking balances very hard.
  • Don’t Receive Notifications!

    How come we don’t receive notifications from the app? Such as when money is deposited or withdrawn from my accounts.
    Would be great if this was integrated into the app so I’d know exactly when my pay is deposited into my account and a notification when spending occurs.
  • Lifetime customer gone

    I’ve had a BankVic account since I was born (formerly Police Co-op). The problems started when I was hacked on my computer. No money was lost (due to 2FA required for new transfers) but when that happened BankVic prevented me from transferring money out of my account - but I could still use my Visa card so it was still a reasonably useful account (although still not ideal). Then one day all of a sudden I get locked out of the app, and also the website. So I had zero access to my account. I rang BankVic and was told to provide my password which I did, but I apparently I had another password for phone banking which I had not used in about a decade. I simply did not know it and the woman I spoke was about as inspiring as root canal. So I hung up the phone, drove down to the BankVic office and closed my account forever.
  • Many features need improvement I agree

    My husbands app is different to my app ! Why is that! He has the account numbers etc and plenty of stuff on it that I don’t ,using the same app ..!!
    How can two people log into the same app ,but have both of us ,have two different things on both of them?
    Crazy !

  • Basic, works for most things but could do with improvement

    The most frustrating thing is not being able to see the bsb and account number associated with each account, just the member number and ‘S21’ or similar. Please update it to have the full external account details visible at a glance.
  • Sad state of affairs

    I loooove BankVic and I have never complained about anything they provide BUT this app is frankly the pits.
    The staff on the phones would be less busy if the app performed.
    In the last two days, I’ve had my phone cease while using the app, haven’t been able to access parts of it and that’s after I had to navigate the beginning of the app and had to re-enter all my details yet again! The silly part is that I used both facial recognition and entering details manually and only on the second time (manually) that it worked and now it works in the facial recognition - so why is that?? It flashed blue and contorted itself and then worked. So weird really.
    The last review I read was dated 3/4 so that was a year ago. And it’s still playing up - severely.
    Someone needs to lift their game please.
    BankVic itself is a wonderful organisation - don’t let this app (which is the face of it) wreck the rest.

  • Not user friendly

    I can not believe in this day and age we still have to call the bank for a simple password reset! 45 minutes on the phone when this could be rectified in under 5 minutes with a simple email. This bank is living in the past.
  • Rubbish

    New app wouldn’t work on my iPhone. I tried it 3 times unsuccessfully, only to then receive notification from BankVic that I’ve now been locked out of all of my accounts due to trying too many times. So the problem with a substandard app now becomes a significant problem for me being unable to access my $. Banking services have steadily declined since Police Credit became BankVic. Time to look for a new bank.
  • Keeps crashing and not logging in

    The app doesn’t work half the time and keeps on crashing on me. It also keeps me logged in even though I have closed the app, I don’t like this feature as it makes my account less secure. I much preferred the older app, don’t like this new one
  • Account details? Quick balance? Ongoing updates?

    LOVE that the app has finally been updated after so long, but unfortunately I can’t find my account details anywhere within the app. It used to be that you’d tap on the account and it would drop down to show the BSB and account number - now there’s only a BSB to be found if you go exploring in the side menu instead. Could this feature be brought back?

    Also, I’ve tried to setup my quick balance several times, but it never works and only shows me the “setup quick balance” screen (that I can’t get rid of either). Unsure if this is a bug, but I miss the quick balance feature and hope it can be fixed so I can use it again.

    Otherwise, wonderful to finally have an updated app design! Thanks!

    3 stars because while it doesn’t really hold up to other banking apps and their extra functions and services, it’s nonetheless functional and clean and run by a very small bank. Does the job!
