  • suh big bad braaahhss. Nut gud, so bad gud

The app taeks, big long. No no connection lah.
  • Cheap and works if ur low on cash

Its good east setup scan the barcode on it you are done. However I have to idea after setting it up two years ago how to get or find configuration settings for live camera and alerts…all I can do is get alerts to my old email there is very little explaining the camera. If they did a video with me an English speaker this would be a top choice in a pinch.

  • Terrible barely works

After cocoon cam went under I was happy that there was at least an app from the manufacturer so I could keep using the camera. Unfortunately the app is terrible as it crashes all the time and won’t load the video or freeze. I have to close and reopen the app multiple times just to get a picture. I was hoping that when I upgraded from an iphone 7 to 11 that it would get better but alas no. We bought a different brand camera for our new daughters room.

  • I gave it a shot

Unfortunately after quite some time of “giving” this app a shot, I can truly say it’s not worth the money we paid for CaccoonCam. I knew coming from that system that it would be different and we’d lose features we paid for but we didn’t realize how much we’d lose.

The system is difficult to connect to, it’s slow and has a response to current lag time, the picture quality is poor and there are times when you can’t even load the livestream. I wanted to like the camera system but it’s very poor. My husband and I were lucky that we didn’t need need the system like when our son was a baby but it was still nice to know what our mischievous toddler is up to once in a while.

  • Disappointing

App disconnects all the time. We did not have these issues when the camera still worked with cocoon app, so it has to be related to the app. Has to reload every time you switch away from the app, and you have to reset any preferences (eg having sound on). Picture can be pretty clear, and it’s nice to be able to rotate view/adjust brightness, which is the only thing saving this review from giving one star.

  • Why is there no support? What happened to this app?

What is the process for reporting an bad app to Apple?
  • This app blows

Had to switch from cocoon app to this garbage. Lost all features and now constantly the camera disconnects and as someone else mentioned never works in the background. So there always 50/50 chance of no being able to see you child. God forbid for safety reasons I’d like to be able to see my child in the crib now that she stands up if she’s safe and can’t even do that. Once it disconnects you have to go to the room to pair it again. It ridiculous with all the money we paid for to be stuck with this garbage. Unbelievable. Doesn’t even deserve one star.

  • Worse thing ever

Like many other I had to make the switch because of cacooncam. I paid way to much for this camera to have to now use such a subpar app. 9 out of 10 times it kicks me offline. ( I never had this issue with the original app). And then when it does connect the video quality is horrible. This has to be one of the worse apps ever. Especially for something as important as monitoring a baby. I would total give a 0 star but I can’t. I can’t stress enough how much I hate this stupid APP!!!

  • Would no longer recommend Cocoon Cam

We were fortunate enough to get a year of cocoon cameras native application before they forced all users to switch to this poorly coded app. The app doesn’t pair correctly with the camera, often freezes or crashes in the middle of the night and has lost the breathing monitoring which fortunately we don’t really need anymore. I used to rave about the cocoon camera to my friends but can no longer recommend that device or any device that forces users to install this application. This program is a joke that was likely coded in some garage as a freshman class project. Do yourself a favor and go with literally any other camera on the market, which is probably cheaper anyway.

  • Awesome, don’t mind the other comments.

First I’m not being paid to write this review, doing this because it’s irritating looking at such a good app with such a bad score, it doesn’t deserve this. Yes the camera is a bit slow over WiFi, boo hoo. This is something that can be easily fixed.

Online they sell something called a ”Power Line Adapter” (PLC). For those of you that aren’t familiar with what this is, it’s a device that allows you to hardwire ANYTHING to your router, but through your electricity. It’s comes with 2 PLCs. It’s simple, you plug one into the back of the camera, and one into the back of your router, you press the learn in button, and done.

Reason I mention this is because it’s sad people seem to destroy an app, before trying things to make it better. WiFi is never going to be the best when it comes to cameras, so this is the best alternative if the camera isn’t right next to your router.
