Garbage - Find another provider
We were forced to switch from the Cocoon cam to this app as the business no longer would support the product. The app is terrible in comparison to what was sold to me originally in the cocoon cam app (not that I’ve been super pleased with it, but it was better than this).
The app functionality doesn’t work right. Notifications don’t send, mic/speakers don’t work, the connectivity on my network is spotty at best (no other devices have issues on my network, and I work remotely without issue). If you’re in the market, and haven’t purchased yet, get something else besides this.Show lessC-Oley
Cocoon cam NOT supported
We were forced to switch from Cocoon cam to this app and were given the wrong instructions. It took me hours to connect and when I finally did it, we can’t hear sound. I can only see the video and the quality is not very good.
If I had decided to purchase a $25 camera, and knew it could barely stream would be acceptable; however, I paid $150+ because of the features such as breathing rate and now Cocoon just screwed us and run with our money and left us with a pet camera and we bought a baby monitor. This is NOT a baby monitor. I will now have to buy a baby monitor again! It is outrageous.Show lessCanelita82
Cocoon cam failure
My wife and I had to switch to this app because cocoon cam is no longer going to support the cocoon app. After we downloaded the app we got it to work with our camera a grand total of one day. Its been a week now and it always says the cam is offline. The cocoon app will still work for one more day and the cam is up and working with that app. This app is terrible for the cocoon cam. Cocoon Cam Did Us Dirty
Let me start by saying, I have a degree in computers. I’ve used computers since I was a child. I am very tech savvy.
This app is garbage. It took me a while to get it working, thinking I was doing something wrong. Turns out, no it’s the app that is messing up. Now, after finally getting it working and helping my family set it up on their phones and getting them all working, we tried using it overnight to watch our baby, we can’t even do that. The camera is constantly disconnecting and glitching out. Forcing us to back out, sometimes even kill the app and reopen. It allows no audio in either direction. As soon as you start changing any settings like the color balance or brightness, it disconnects as if it’s too much for it to handle.
I can’t believe Cocoon Cam has done us this way. Knowing this app was this bad, if you’re gonna screw your customers over this much, at least help the app developers correct all these issues. I see a class action lawsuit coming their way. I’d be on board.Show lessCatch08
Poor quality
We were also forced to get this app for our cocoon cam baby monitor. It’s very unfortunate because we paid a lot of money for a camera with breathing monitoring and sound and now we cannot get it with this app :(graysonandlexi
Disappointment
Cocoon Cam does not work with this app. Please fix these glitches ASAP. Not happy Cocoon camera users are forced to switch to this app. Sure the video streams ok, but the speaker and mic don’t work. That doesn’t do any good to listen for the baby to awake at night. Plus the best feature of the Cocoon app (the whole reason I bought it), was the breathing feature. And now that’s gone. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. Only good thing is, I am able to use the AC adaptor to plug into my old ‘Infant Optics’ camera (which the adapter broke over time), and it now works brand new. Does not work
This app was suggested by the company of my baby monitor that went out of business as a way to still use the $100+ camera I bought to watch my baby. I followed the instructions and it connected but no sound. Didn’t work on my husbands phone either. We usually leave the camera on our phones over night to keep an eye on the baby. Within a few hours the camera went off line and has never came back on. We tried reconnecting it, resyncing it, unplugging, everything and nothing will allow our camera to work. Cocoon cam users hung out to dry
After spending over an hour trying to reset my camera bought through Cocoon cam to work with this manufacturers app I was finally able to get it connected to our WiFi and see the video feed but the sound and mic do NOT work which defeats the purpose of a baby monitor! Am I supposed to stay up all night watching the baby??! I understand that cocoon went out of business but, why leave the customers out to dry with a month’s notice that their app won’t work anymore? They could at least provide a basic working app (without all the extra features) so we can use the camera. Also very disappointed with the lack of English support for the app/camera. One of the worst
The app is one of the worst. As with so many, we had to move from cocoon cam to this, which I believe is the manufacturers app. Where to even start. My higher speed internet was not good enough. I finally managed to get it to connect. Picture is fairly good hence the 2 stars. If you want to switch to another app while monitoring your child and go back, this app basically starts over and you have to wait for the camera to reconnect, which is hit or miss. It will say connecting, disconnected, connecting, disconnected and then online. There is no sound. Less than one day using this app, we ordered a new system. Good luckShow lessBane6552
No sound. Poor quality.
We were forced to get this app because our baby camera “Cacoon Cam” went out of business. As a last ditch effort to not waste the camera they gave us this alternative app to use and it doesn’t do any of the functions the original app does. We do not get any sound, the image quality is very poor. There is no two way, we do not have any notifications nor the BPM feature. A complete rip off. Very displeased!Show lessttrembcor
