Has never worked right
In the 5 years I‘ve used the app it has never worked properly. On my iPad it freezes up every time I re-open it so I have to delete and reinstall the app to sync with the watch. It has worked with the USB cord on my PC periodically over the years, but currently the watch and PC are not syncing at all. It seems to function as it is supposed to on my wife’s iPhone, so I guess it should only be sold as iPhone compatible.Show less*&!#!!

Disappointed - Tech issues
When you want to see your monthly or yearly stats in your profile in the app, it doesn’t work. I have called them and they are aware of the issue and told me they are working on that but it felt they just say that to shut me up.
Feeling quite disappointed as it’s an expensive watch that I mostly bought to keep track of my stats and now I can’t see that. They shouldn’t sell the watch until they don’t fix this.Show lesslupbb-es-07

I love the watch but this app and supporting databases/servers are terrible. Lots of bugs and over the last 5 days the database base has been down. Please Ripcurl fix the backend it’s want we need to view our surfs.DinoWhite
Doesn’t show the total surfs
The app is not as up to date the computer and it’s very disappointing. The app doesn’t seem to count all my waves

The watch is a waste of money
Although it is cool to see how much you’ve paddled, it still isn’t accurate. Also, on every surf it hasn’t picked up the waves that I’ve caught. This morning I surfed 5 waves in a quick half hour session and said that I had surfed 1. It doesn’t pick up waves that you’re only on for a short period but doesn’t even pick up waves you have surfed. I sent an email about the watch to ripcurl about a year ago and they said they were trying to fix these issues but it seems worse now than before. Personally, I won’t be buying another one in the future and stick to a general tide watch as the GPS features end up being pointless for the extra money.Show lesshiitsmeadam
Data export
It would be really useful to be able to use the watch for other applications (I race motorcycles as well). Maybe if there was a way to export the data into other applications?Not.dead.yet
