  • Great app.

I am against monthly subscription. If you are paying $10 a month for a workout app you are encouraging these developers to keep ripping off the public. This app costs $9.99 with no subscription and does what it supposed to do. Adding your own custom excercise is easy. Lots of features to track your workout. Super easy to use. You shouldn’t have to spend a fortune eveymonth to log your workout. This app does it all. Great job!!!

Finally an app that is simple to use, yet powerful enough to track results. I’ve been looking for this one for a long while. Well done!
  • Best workout log app

I have been using this app since I downloaded. It is simple to use. I feel like I have gotten more workout in less time. Due to the fact that it times you after every log.
  • Well thought out and planned app

Been looking for an app like this for a while. The workout planning covers all aspects of workouts that I like to log, as well as it has heart rate and size logs as well. For people new to regular workout sessions, it provides a detailed list of basic workouts.

Overall it is simple to use. Another thing I quote like to add is the customisation in regards to the look of the app. It really changes your mood towards using apps to log workouts over note pads. As much of working out and maintaining the routine comes down to mental attitude.

What has surprised me is that they charge. After trying hundreds of different workout apps that have ridiculous and expensive subscriptions for a poorly designed product, these guys created a simple and well designed one with a low one off purchase. Would honestly pay a little more for a product like this and feel you could go to at least 20 AUD.
Great work guys, and thanks for the app!

Also adding this on. Only thing I’d like to see is just health app link :)

  • So far the most convenient app for my goals

I have been using it regularly for more than a year.
  • Switch to something else

The app developer is not updating the app anymore. I used to love this app but with the new Apple Watch it is pretty much useless. There is no way to add it as a complication. The data does not sync. And if you try to enter data in your phone for a workout that you started on the watch the app thinks you are doing 2 separate workouts. Another major issue is that if you download the app from the App Store vs the watch store your data is lost if you restore the app. This app has gone from great to crap, unfortunately!!

  • Best value gym log

I tried a bunch of them, including Strong, Gymaholic and a couple of others, but their subscription models are ludicrously expensive. This app has less polish, but it works well, and the Apple Watch app is great. I have already deleted the other gym logs, and will upgrade to support the developer.

  • iPhone great, Apple Watch horrible

The iPhone version is amazing, but the Apple Watch version is so bad I’m thinking of stopping using it all together.

The logging feature on the Apple Watch is not like the iPhone. Each time you want to log a new set, the readings reset to match the last time you did that set (which could have been weeks ago). It should match the last set I just logged. The vibration after timer rarely activates on the Apple Watch, and there is no audible notification on the Apple Watch over Bluetooth headphones that I can find. I tried pairing my headphones to the Watch and then to the iPhone, and still nothing.

Also, if you screw up logging a rep, you can change it on Watch, you have to change it on the iPhone. Very frustrating.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback--glad to hear you love the iPhone app but sorry to hear about the Apple Watch version. Please try turning off Settings > Auto-Fill Next Set if you'd like to use the last set just logged. If this setting is turned on, then the app will auto-fill with the corresponding set from your previous workout (that's my personal preference as I do different reps and weights for each set number--light weight for set 1 and heavier for set 2). For the rest timer alert, here are a few things to try: * Please make sure your iPhone's mute switch is not on. * In the Settings app on your iPhone, please make sure that Notifications are enabled for Gym Log+ and that Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners, and Sounds are all turned on. * In the Watch app on your iPhone for configuring your Apple Watch, please check under Sounds & Haptics and make sure the Alert Volume is up, Silent Mode is off, and Haptic Alerts is On. * In the Watch app on your iPhone for configuring your Apple Watch, please make sure that Notifications are turned on for Gym Log+. For the last point, you might also try turning off notifications for the Apple Watch alone (but not the iPhone) as it's possible that a notification routed to your Apple Watch may not play the same sound. For editing a logged set, please try Force Touching (press firmly) the screen, and tap Delete Last in the menu that appears to delete the last logged set. I tried to keep the Apple Watch app simpler due to the limited space, so you can't edit an arbitrary set like on the iPhone but I felt that being able to delete the last logged set(s) was a useful compromise. If you have questions or comments, you can reach me within the app via Settings > Report a Problem (or Suggest a Feature). Regards, Wade
  • Exactly what I wanted.

Simple on the surface but feature-rich if you want more control. I was looking for a way to track sets and reps while also being able to quickly see progress over time. A few other apps offer this as well, but for expensive monthly or yearly rates. The one-time payment for unlimited ad-free features made this a no-brainer.

  • Great app some minor update issues

Paid for app and developer did an update that turned my paid version into a limited version. However, after contacting developer he was able to provide support and help me get my version back.
