  • Great

Great app once you work out what’s what works great for home projects
  • Updates

Update: they fixed the issue, reached out to me and were professional and quick with the fix. 10/10 service and help

“This app is excellent, but every time you get used to it they had a new “convenient future “that really just limits capabilities. For example you used to be able to put a text anywhere you want to on the screen. Now whenever you type text and move to type text somewhere else the old text just deletes. It’s super buggy and keeps updating on its own with inconvenient features that don’t streamline anything.
This app was a lifesaver at first, especially for sketches and work I have to do on residential properties, but their constant updates have just ruined the ability to work quickly and efficiently. Pen and paper is now faster than this app.”

The above complaint has been resolved.

    Developer Response

Sorry to hear this. All of the new features were the top features requested by our users. We did let one text bug slip in the previous update but fixed it within hours. Please make sure to update the app.
  • Not too bad

Great concept, the developer has added some good features along the way.

Drawing becomes an issue if you start changing increments. For example, I need to draw a room that is 1.66m, I need to be in the 0.01m increment. If I try draw from the 1M increment, the lines are usually skewed, trying to zoom in and out. If I try draw straight from the 0.01 increment position, the lines are too time consuming to draw 1.66M, as I’m in the 0.01 increment.

It would be handy to draw from the zoomed out increments, from say, 1.66m? I don’t think there’s an easy way to just draw a straight line to the size of 1.66 for example.

Try it, but this wouldn’t be the overall solution to draft paper right now, unless I’m completely missing something here.

    Developer Response

Yes I agree this is a problem needing a solution - I usually draw to say 1m then zoom in and add the 66cm. It’s not ideal but I’m always open to clever ideas!
  • 👌👍

    Perfect love it👍👌👍👌👍👌
  • Needs a few features

Add copy and paste both of drawing elements and text selection
Add drag to select more than one item
Add ability to grab an anchor point and move one end of an item, or items if more than one item anchored at that point.
Add undo icon at opposite bottom corner from menu. We shouldn’t have to dig for this most-used option.
    Add editing of existing text

  • Perfect replacement for graph paper

I like to draw my plans to scale, but never have enough graph paper at home, I’ve been trying to find an option that would work in design apps and nothing I find works as well as good old pen & paper. Until this! It’s perfect, I can move lines if I need to rather than erase and having all the different layers in different colours makes it really easy to build up my floor plan. Takes a few go’s to get the hang of the different tools and a pen makes life much easier an my iPad but this is definitely a winner. Only extra I’d like is the ability to rotate text.

  • Good little app

Almost exactly what I’ve been looking for. Very simple to use. Has all the drawing tools necessary for simple and accurate floor plans. Only (but big) issue is not being able to alter a plan and save it separately. Very, very annoying to have to redraw the whole thing from new.
  • Love the ease of use

I found this app easy to use and quite intuitive I believe it could be made a lot more useful if there was an option for fill-in patterns and textures.
  • Complaint

I don’t know how to draw?
  • Easy to use and pretty intuitive

The app functions well for what it is, but it has a fatal flaw for me. I’m looking to design large woodworking projects, and there does not seem to be a way to simply set the length of the line you are trying to make. When drawing, it automatically scales up as your design gets bigger which leads me to only having measurements down to an inch. That’s not useful for woodworking.

If there was a way to edit a line’s length to something more fine grained then the auto scaling, or if you were able to type in a lines length this program would be nearly perfect for me.
