It’s a gamble!!!

It starts out okay, but then you start realizing that some attorneys won’t actually give you any advice and just talk in a circle for the sake of their egos and completely disregard your questions. It doesn’t help that the support staff is generally uneducated in proper customer service, or that calls are not made in their guaranteed time frame of 4 hours. (Think days later, repeatedly, when you have time sensitive actions that need to be taken.)

And calling them does not help. Unless you want pointless excuses. If you value your time, and quality of your legal advice, stay away. If you watch Court TV and need a buddy to understand it, take the gamble.

Waste of time and money

I don’t recommend this. It was a waste of money and time. The process to cancel the service is a huge red flag indication. Even we are in 2022 with digital signatures and everything should be quick and easy, not with this app. They will request same information written in the app, then hand written, you never know if they received the emails from their “security channel”, they might cancel representation without properly communicating it. Your mileage might vary here depending on the region and what lawyers you get. But in general the process is very slow, convoluted, inefficient, and after a letter nothing after that is guaranteed using this service, not even that they will answer a call or callback. It must have better ways to communicate and process cases efficiently and transparently with customers, therefore, avoid this company.

Answering the developer: if someone have access to open the app and request to cancel a subscription, that same person also have access to the email to write a cancellation request. If the intent was security, the app would have a button, that when triggered send an email with a link to confirm the intention and request the user password to cancel. This is the right and safe way with easy access to the option. The fact that is hard to cancel and find information of how to do it, is a red flag, and the excuse used by the developer is another red flag that indicates how this is unnecessary convoluted and inefficient.

Great app but missing one important feature

This is a great app and service. I have been using the service for 25+ years. The addition of the app is great. However, it did have one feature that somehow got removed in an update. My membership number! Please bring that feature back! It’s a simple request. Make a tab for membership status and number. Maybe allow me to update my billing info in the app but that’s not a deal breaker.

The membership number is such a little thing I can’t believe it’s not available in the app…..

Waste of time

These lawyers act like you are an inconvenience to them. I would mind that less had I not waited a week to speak to one since they kept calling without leaving a message or at least using caller ID. In an age when we all receive 20 spam calls a day, they should understand why this is a problem. You are better off hiring a proper lawyer without this middleman service. At least then you will be in charge of quality assurance, not a detached app with limited mobile options

Stay away, awful

Horrible experience, possibly a scam. I paid for months in anticipation of a specific upcoming need (contract review) and was refused it when requested. I asked for the issue to be escalated and they didn’t respond for days - well after I had paid someone else for the contract review. I then asked for a full refund of fees paid and an immediate membership cancellation and they have offered no refund while continuing to charge me for months. I strongly encourage you to avoid this company.

Not what they say they are…

I got a plan thinking I’d get help with legal matters but just paid to get a discount on a legal company … i called to ask for help or things that could help with a matter and i was told they can’t help me but they can offer me
20% off if i pay for a lawyer in their firm … i could have just gone on Google and got help instead of paying them.
Waist of money and completely left me hanging in time of need !

Waste of time and money.

I had a time-sensitive work document that needed review. It took weeks of getting bounced around to different “referrals”, and the communication (or lack thereof) was atrocious: taking days at a time to respond, then calling from random numbers and not leaving voicemails, and then when I finally get in touch with someone, they seem to have forgotten about my existence entirely. And ultimately, still no assistance with the document review.
I cannot fathom relying on this should there ever really be an emergency. $30 a month for a lawyer?? That right there says it all. You get what you pay for, as they say.

Signed up for monthly took out year subscription!

I’m so annoyed it’s the end of the month. I set up a monthly subscription, which billed me for a year! I have bills to pay, I can't go grocery shopping, and most importantly, I can't buy my cryptocurrencies! I'm fuming hot. They reversed it, but it hasn't been posted on my account for four days now. Beyond mad still negative, I have been dipping in money I have invested to pay for things I need costing me even more. I wouldn't say I like these delays with my money.

Beware of poor service and fake reviews

❌ signup process was a headache. Charged my card with no access for several days.
❌ website and mobile app are both very buggy
❌ one lawyer was completely oblivious when it came to his supposed area of expertise. He knew nothing I didn’t already know. I have doubts he’s an actual lawyer.
❌another lawyer missed my scheduled appointment window and never called. I tried calling but never got a person.
❌the good reviews on Facebook are from LegalShield employees if you look at their profiles

Service is Great….App needs work

The Legal Shield service is the best in the legal insurance industry bar none (see what I did there lol)

The App needs work. My pain point is the “manage requests” section where all you can really do is stare at the status of your request without taking any action. We need to be able to take action right from the app to help expedite the request/consult process so that we don’t have to hunt our way to the proper place to respond to an attorney or upload necessary documents.
