How to cancel? Slightly shady instructions on how to cancel a membership. You have to call a number so someone can convince you to keep your subscription, she transfers you to a recording saying you must email with the member id number. I was not given an id number on any materials or info received from the app. Shady practice for a legal business.

Please read honest reviews in multiple locations before wasting your hard earned $!
We paid for this service for months. Times called for emergency use of needing an attorney to fight for us. We sent all documentation asked of us called immediately back the only two times we missed a call from attorneys just to have an email and letter sent to us stating they could never reach us and we did not get them documentation needed and this and that.
You must put in a call to the attorneys and then you wait and HOPE they call you back. It is not convenient by any means. We never got told anything to file or what we needed to file. No help answering our court documents and no lead as to what we could even possibly do. We 110% got the run around.
We would not recommend legal shield from our experience at this point and it’s very unfortunate because I could definitely see the potential of it all.

Lawyer thiefs
This is a garbage company. They don’t let you change law firms. Even if the law firm discriminates against you because of disability. They also ended my paid subscription without giving me notice as I was waiting on a resolution. They have yet to refund my money. They don’t do criminal defense. They don’t help you with your own case prep for civil suits. They only act as a consulting firm and will refer you to a res law firm. You can get that service yourself either with a google search or by calling the state bar referral number. Don’t waste your money.

Poor service, extremely difficult to cancel
Beware of using this service. Not only were they unhelpful, but they also give you the run around when you try to cancel. Online they tell you to call, then when you call, they tell you to email to cancel. I tried to get help with 1 issue and the follow up was slow and I got transferred to different offices. It’s confusing and just a waste of money. Very disappointed.

Worst legal help ever
If you work like any other human on the plant this is a waste of money. Work 12 hour shift a day Monday- Saturday to provide for my son. I am having some legal concerns about him with his father and I called them hoping for some guidance and the lady pretty much told me there’s nothing she could do because they are not obligated to call after 5 after I explained to her I work till 6 and do not get a break for a time for them to cal back besides when I get off. She proceeded to get an attitude with me and tell me there’s not much they can do. A total waste of money. Do not recommend. They get back to you on there time and no other time than that.

I use it all the time
I’ve been a LegalShield member for about 15 years. I was surprised at how many things the lawyers could help us with that I had never even thought about before getting the membership - the small day to day stuff, as well as the big issues. I think everyone should experience this. It’s saved my family, and my business, countless heartaches, and an incredible amount of money. Highly recommend you try it out!

Want to cancel? Be prepared to fight the sharks
You want to cancel your membership? Well you can’t online. You can pay them more money or sign up to pay them money on a monthly basis all in the app or online. To cancel you can’t online. You have to call customer service tell them you want to cancel then they try to sales pitch you into staying with all the benefits. Then after telling them yes I want to still cancel they say hold on I’m going to forward you to an automated message so you can get instructions on how to mail, fax, or email my request to cancel. These are all scam tactics to make it difficult to quit to keep you paying more money.

Not worth it, even for the cost
The lawyers don’t appear to be real lawyers.
The attorney we were speaking to hung up on us when I asked what law required the fee that he said we had to pay. Don’t understand why we aren’t able to ask questions and seek clarification about the things he is saying are true.
We also asked if rent increases were allowed. He said “yes”, but failed to tell us there is a limit!! We had to prompt him for the limitations and the whole time, he acted as if we were a giant nuisance, when he simply wasn’t doing his job.
Why are we asking him these things if he won’t give the real full answer? An absolute waste of time. Just absolutely a waste of time.

Do not recommend
Due to negligence of firm provided by legalshield, ended up with a critical error in a 2 page document they “reviewed”. Ended costing me 2 months rent and 1500$ in hiring a real lawyer. Will not recommend
