Has potential but needs a lot of work on user interface.

The app is good and provides a good service, however, the user interface is complicated and not very intuitive.

Lots of potential, but has some problems

I love the look of the maps (very easy on the eyes), and has some great features that i love.

However, I have some issues. I often sync the changes in favourites between my phones, and find that every so often, I get duplicates. Not too bad, except it crashes when I try to remove them. I now have so many duplicates, some places are even duplicated 20 times.

Another problem is when you try to navigate from one location to another, but you are not at either. It will navigate from where you are even if you change the points.

I also experience crashes when I try to add new places and add information at the same time. I have to add the place, save it, and then edit it to add the details.

Otherwise, it’s a great app. Please fix these annoying bugs, and I won’t need to use any other offline maps.

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. We investigate information about duplicates during cloud sync. If you want to preview the route from any point don't press Start. Start always launch navigation and for navigation location is required. You can also can try to use Plan a route to get trip preview from any location.

rapidly losing stars, what a mess.

we do mot need a dozen 'profiles', no one does. no one. I really wish osmand would revise the settings on this app. messy to setup. settings don't 'stick'. it is not as anonymous as they'd like you to think. Navigating the app jumps around, theres no real 'back' button. Frustrating experience. Trying magicearth , organic maps , pocketearth (better for everything, wiki is free, but seems abandoned).

I wanted it to work

So sad since I really love the concept. I’ve personally mapped 2 new subdivisions to add to the maps. With this app the issues are with Car Play: 1) The map continually rotates in circles as you drive 2) The speed limit indicator showing up is sporadic 3) Voice turn by turn works so infrequently that it surprises you when you actually hear one 4) The visual turn by turn directions only somewhat work - the turn indicator is correct, but the distance till that turn frequently gets stuck and doesn’t update for miles. 5) Current speed indicator doesn’t work at all

CarPlay

Downloaded the app and plugged into car, map shows up blank but with a locator arrow visible. Couldn’t figure out why the map didn’t show up properly. Went into options, found and clicked “enable CarPlay,” then see I the option is locked behind a purchase/subscription. Irritating that there is no way to try this feature without purchasing, and nothing that I saw upon opening the app that this wasn’t included.
I don’t mind paying subscriptions but it’s annoying when I can’t even try something out before buying it.

So good and so much potential. Needs to be run through a filter of someone without a software engineer program. A little complicated

This app does not work properly, does not show up speed in towns and city areas have sent request after request to show how to bring up speeds on map as they have said it will do they just tell me to look at instructions, if you follow instructions still will not work.
Also asked to tell me why widget features don’t show up on screen, got told they have not upgrade program.
This app was supposed to be capable of working on CarPlay it is not.

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. We use OpenStreetMap as a source of data. This map is built by a community of volunteers, availability of data in some areas depends on the number of volunteers. Crashes frequently

Great app when it works but unfortunately it will often crash frequently

Expansive but buggy app

I am using for bike touring. It crashes multiple day a day, even when it’s not navigating or calculating anything.

It doesn’t link to OSM on the computer, which is disappointing. Just now it randomly drained 40% of my battery in 8 minutes while calculating a route that half an hour ago it had calculated just fine. This is the first time that has happened but it often takes longer than expected or desired to calculate a route.

It voice navigation is often timed a little wrong which has me take wrong turns.

Like I’ll keep using it bc Google maps doesn’t have the features I need but I am very frustrated by it. and I wish at bare minimum it wasn’t so buggy.

Payant pour CarPlay

J’aimais bien cette application mais il faut maintenant faire des paiements soit pas mois ou par année pour avoir CarPlay. J’aurai préféré l’acheter juste une fois. Je reviens à mon bon vrai GPS Garmin à cause de ça.
