  • Like the app, could be better worth a couple tweaks

Been using this app for a week and already memorized an entire Psalm! Definitely looking forward to using this year. Two areas of feedback for the developers that would make the app better:
    1. An option to say you made a typo for the Type-Out game (it’s really challenging to have zero typos in a longer passage—the psalm I have memorized has 22 verses, and while I know them, I’ve had to start the whole passage again and again until I’ve made zero typos).
    2. Building on this, it would be great if there was a way to say you’ve already memorized the passage without having to practice until the circles load all the way. Some passages I’ve memorized in the past I would like to add to my dashboard and refresh, but I don’t want to spend a lot of time on them just to prove to the app that I already know them.

Overall pleased with the concept and happy to pay the $5/year. Would love to see these things implemented though!

Glad you are enjoying the app. Thanks for the suggestion. I will pass that along to our developers.
  • Wonderful App

Verse memorization is something I really struggled with and if I managed to memorize the verse, I couldn’t remember what verse it was. I tried writing verses over and over again im a notebook or even make note cards on Quizlet and nothing helped. With this app, I’ve been able to not only memorize the verse, but be able to test myself and view my level of memorization for any particular verse. I also love the community aspect that gives one a sense of accountability. This app has really helped and I will/have recommended this to many people who want to begin memorizing scripture.

  • Great Bible memory app!

I have really enjoyed this Bible memory app! It it motivating, and the format is easy to work with. I love the 5 minute accomplishment alert and that it keeps track of your daily/weekly consistency :)

I think one thing that could be improved is the ability to add verses to a current passage in the works. As it is set up right now, the passage is decided from the start and is unchangeable after it is created. It would be helpful if there was a way to add verses to a created passage. That’s my only recommendation for improvement :)

Other than that, I love it! Thank you for making it available!

  • Great App

Really enjoying this app; especially when I signed up for all the versions. I have a terrible memory and the different strategies for learning are excellent and mix it up a bit.
  • It’s ok

I purchased the pro versus only for the app to not allow me to complete a verse I’ve already memorized. The speak out beta option (which is necessary for the completion of the memorization of the verse) doesn’t understand certain words and I actually speak great English fluently with a slight Jersey accent. Anyway it’ll mark the word red sometime well after it was white and I’m a line past it. It’s extremely frustrating and super annoying as well as very discouraging seeing how it’s hard enough to stay encouraged and focused in memorizing scripture. I would’ve gave it 4 starts but I emailed a while back about this problem and never got a response. I’m so disappointed because I really felt this app was going to be great. I gave it 3 stars because it does help and all the other features work pretty well.
Please 1. Fix the speak out beta or remove it all together & 2. Can we have an option to move the verse somewhere once WE have memorized it? Like in a memorized or completed folder?

Glad that our app has benefited you. Sorry for the difficulties with the speak out beta version. We are planning a major update later on this year. Hopefully the Speak Out feature will be greatly improved.
  • Potential but still not yet there

    1. It makes you practice far too many times before giving you credit for memorizing a verse 2. This is a phone app — there is no margin of error for typos and sticky fingers. It just marks you wrong and makes you practice over and over and over. It wasn’t a wrong choice - it was a typo! 3. There’s no levels. Maybe memorizing is my gift, but I find this app losing my interest because it makes me do the same thing 35 times. Geez, I already memorized it but the 7th try, stop making me do the same thing. Give me levels to move on when I’m ready. 4. It’s a great idea but needs much improvement. 5. The female voice reading the verses is more annoying than Siri 6. ****For $9.99 I expect a MUCH MUCH better app. **** 7. If this app were free, I’d give it a higher rating and not be bothered by the above issues. 8. No app developer even cares that I gave it * star rating

  • Donna

I absolutely love this app! Memorised 10 verses in the past two days.
  • Thank you for this app!

This app is just great! I have been having trouble memories Psalms. This is a big help! Please keep it maintained and God bless you!
  • Helping me memorize

So grateful for the verses app it has really helped me develop a consistent habit of memorization and review.
  • Great Resource. Almost Fantastic!

This app is amazing and has great potential, but I’ll cut to the chase.

The devs need income to continue developing the app and keep it on the App Store so they charge $5 a year for a subscription (that’s right under 1.4 cents a day). The subscription allows the user to use more translations of the Bible other than the KJV. (The KJV is the ONLY free version)

I recommend giving a more modern, widely welcomed version out for free such as ESV, and make the others cost $5 a year.

Yes there’s a 30 day free trial, but many people in my circle don’t want to worry about having to remember to dig in the iPhone settings and try and find how to cancel it if they don’t like the app. (Even though they would like the app) They sooner rather not try it at all.

It’s been difficult to get friends on board to join my group when the free version is KJV because nobody in my circle wants to invest time into memorizing or sharing scripture including thee , Thou, or wilt with people. ESV or something more widely welcomed would make this app fantastic.

Great memorization mechanics. Works VERY well.
