Speak Out (beta) doesn’t work, seems to have particular trouble with proper nouns. But you can’t progress without using it and if you get a lot of it wrong (which you will, because it doesn’t work) then you’ll lose most of your progress.confidence270
VERY useful, but...
I really love using this app! It’s extremely helpful in my memorization of scripture, and I’ve been able to advance a lot in my use of this app! However, it is annoying that I can be using this app for thirty minutes, going through multiple different passages, and the app still won’t credit any of my work to my daily streak. Keeping my streak is a big motivator to studying, so it is demotivating when the app won’t give me credit in my streak even when I’m studying for a long time.
This should work like Duolingo does where you can set a goal for how much you want to learn every day in order to keep your streak. Maybe a set amount of time or a set amount of passages studied? That would really help. I just don’t like feeling like I’m going to lose my streak even when I’ve been studying for thirty minutes. Thank you!Show lessCryst089

It affects my memory scoring and I’m really motivated by completing the rings fully.

Game changer
I didn’t want my bad memory to get in the way of keeping scripture in my heart. Other methods and apps have been inefficient for me. This app brings the simplicity and consistency I’ve been looking for. I’ve never memorised scripture so quickly. Very effective. Just brilliant!n3117n

This app has been an amazing addition to my day. I have been memorizing Scripture for almost a year and a half now, and have been able to retain so much more than I ever thought possible. I love how this app structures the memorization process and how it tracks retention as well. The daily and weekly streaks have helped keep me accountable and my competitive side is greatly disappointed when I break a streak (I was up to 320ish days straight and missed a day that I thought I had done, so I am back to square one again!) I can’t recommend this app enough. I do also pay for the extra versions as I prefer to memorize Scripture in the ESV.Show lessKatie A. Thomas
Incredibly helpful
Normally, I’ve written on index cards but it’s hard to really test yourself/ make sure you are accurately quoting the scriptures. This makes it so easy to check yourself.
I’m impressed with the activities. There is a variety and it really helps to get over that first hump of becoming familiar with the scripture.
The only mistake at first is putting in too much of a chapter to memorize at once. All activities will use the entirety of the verses so start at your smallest amount. It’s easy to expand to include additional verses in the chapter.
