  • Great when it can actually find the scanner

Works great, if it can find your scanner. Usually requires two or three force-quits to actually get discovery working, or a power cycle of the Doxie.

  • Good app

But lack of sharing multiple doc’s at once really lets it down.
  • Slightly lacking

Finally we have a crop feature, but without fine rotation it’s not much use. My scans are all slightly rotated, with black corners. I just need them all rotated by about 2 degrees. Also, uploading to Dropbox etc can be laborious if you have multiple scans.
  • Just an amazing device

So simple to use. Scan 100’s of photo’s or documents in minutes. A must have device for the home or office.
  • Wish it was as useful as the desktop application

I love my DoxieGo scanner. I only wish that the iOS app was as good as the desktop application. It’s not that it’s a bad application. There are features in the desktop application that are noticeably absent. There are also workflow inconsistencies between the two. Perhaps my expectations were too high. In my opinion the lack of a bulk export is a REAL productivity killer. Thankfully the desktop applications are available. Had I purchased a Doxie scanner with the intention of ONLY using it with my iOS device I would have returned it.

  • Needs a little more.

I have the Doxie Go and I received the Doxie Go Wifi as soon as they were released. I enjoy the Doxie products. However, the mobile app software needs a little feature enrichment. My normal workflow was to scan several items, load them into my Mac where the images were aligned (rotation less that the 90 degree tab), and cropped. From there the adjusted images were stored in WD Mycloud. At that point I could download what I needed into my iPad or iPhone. With the new mobile Doxie app I was hoping to skip a lot of steps and go straight to the iPad for everything. Unfortunately, I can't, the moble app does not allow Cropping or rotational adjustments. These are needed components and should be added as quickly as possible. I would return the Wifi scanner, except I'm holding out for a software update.

It’s been a couple of years since my last review. For most of my paperless life I’ve moved to a scanner app which works great. However, for photo work, I still like using Doxie. Unfortunately, I don’t use the iPad app because the good folks at Doxie will not add the programming lines needed to allow for cropping and rotation alignment (both features that are available with the Mac version). Whenever those features are added, I’ll happily improve my rating of the app.

Just loaded 1.3/1.3.1. WOW! You just couldn’t add cropping, could you?

  • Saving my sanity

The fact that I can access my documents on my phone makes it even better. I don't have to scramble for records and the wifi feature just sends it to a secure location. I've been waiting for this to be invented for ages, thank God it's here!
  • Very useful portable scanner with one issue in the app.

As a teacher, I find this device very useful in my work. Sleek, light and quick, this scanner is easily one of my best purchases.

The app is very easy to use and has a great UI/UX.

The one thing I would like to see in the app is the ability to export multiple scans at one without stapling them together. I really don’t understand why the app has this stapling limitation, would like an explanation from the developer in layman’s terms if possible.

  • Very responsive

After I posted my review, I was contacted by the development team. They worked with me to find the bug and fix it in their software. Still a little disappointed in some things, but they're definitely making an effort. Bravo!

Hi there, I'm so sorry for the trouble here. This is a known issue and it's linked with how your iOS device is set up. To fix it, simply access General>Accessibility>Increase Contrast and turn off Darken Colors. Then try accessing Doxie's app once again, and the task bar should be available at all times. I hope this helps. Anything else, please contact us at help@getdoxie.com. Best, Doxie Customer Care hello@getdoxie.com
