  • My favourite app for tracking activity

I’ve been using FITIV for about 3 years. I love seeing the month by month, year by year trends and it’s the only app I’ve found that keeps me motivated because the points system means you need to hit a certain threshold every month. There are tons of measurements from workout heart rates, METs, walking/running distance and steps. You can see the totals for day, week, month and year. You can even track your weight and if you’re losing weight, the progress bar is great for motivation. Love this app and highly recommend it!

  • Love the FITIV app

I regularly do aerobics and weight training. While I do use the ifit apps on my nordictrack equipment, I still appreciate the FITIV app as I can track my training no matter what activity or equipment I happen to be using.
I also enjoy the goal- oriented aspect of the FITIV app.
I use a polar chest strap to track my heart rate, and the FITIV app pairs well with that device.
I also do some road biking during the warmer months. FITIV takes advantage of my iPhone GPS capabilities to track my entire ride, and of course I save those workouts along with all my other training.
Bottom line: FITIV is the one consistent app that tracks all the metrics I need in a consistent manner, no matter what equipment or type of training I am doing.

  • Reliable app with great functionality

I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it’s been great to track a variety of workouts, from cycling, walking, weight training and boxing. It works well with my Apple Watch and also with a Polar HRM. It plays nicely with other apps and I love the analysis and graphics.
  • No good for Apple Watch 3

I’ve recently gone back to using an iPhone as I wasn’t happy with the Samsung phones or watches. I can’t afford a new Apple Watch so have been using my old 3 watch. However the app doesn’t work with it and even with the support team trying to help, it won’t show or record heart rate, which is what it’s meant to do. So, until the team sorts it or I can afford to buy a new watch, FitIV is not an option for me. Disappointing, but that’s life. Sincerely hope the team can fix it, though.

  • This was a great app until the new version of Apple Watch was released and fit IV put out of

I have texted Support with several issues with this app since the recent watchOS update. The response was to ask me to participate in the beta, which I agreed to do. I have sent several emails pointing out problems with the beta, but not a single one of them has been addressed. All I ever get from them are responsive emails telling me that the problem has been sent to the developers, or that the problem has been resolved or that the problem has been dismissed or that the problem is “done.” Whatever that means.

When you ask someone to participate in a beta, and they send you comments, raising issues and problems, it’s probably better customer service to acknowledge the complaints rather than dismiss them as “resolved“ and just close the ticket. Time to move on to developers, who actually care about their product and their customers.

  • Problems Solved

(July 20,2022) Over four years and still my go-to fitness app. It’s great. Update three (March 1, 2019): still my daily go-to fitness app but some performance issues have slowly crept back in. They are annoying but I'm leaving my rating at five stars for now because it's still a great app. Updated again (Sep 22, 2018 - after v5.0 release): the inaccuracies and performance problems have been resolved. This is now my go-to app for fitness. Updated review (Jul 12, 2018, after two years of use): it's getting better. There is still a major issue with duplicates but accuracy has improved. Increased one star. I've been using the paid version for a couple months now and there are some major issues. I've been using a very accurate heart rate monitor with it. One issue is that the calorie count is grossly inaccurate. A 45 minute high-intensity workout with average heart rate at 150 is usually accurately measured as 800 calories whereas a 22 minute walk with heart rate in the warm-up zone the entire time chalks up over 2000 calories! It also frequently doesn't sync with Apple Health. I feel like I wasted $10.

  • FITIV Pulse - the best!!

Love this app. Works beautifully with Apple Watch as heart rate monitor. I moved to it as my in ride app and upload data to STRAVA later. Much better visual feedback for me on iPhone while I ride. Can even have different data in phone vs watch. Incredibly easy to customize.
  • Totally love this app! (Before)

Update: Still my daily tracking app but as other reviewers have noted, some issues have crept in. My number one complaint is that for at least the past year, the cycling summary is incorrect. If I look at my cycling mileage for the week, instead of seeing 70 miles it reports .7 I have written support several times with no meaningful answer.

Two years ago the stats function was ****awesome****. Very easy to navigate and customize. Why I loved this app. Then it was “improved” and not nearly as easy. I like to look at weekly, monthly and year to date versus previous time periods. I can still get there sort of. I have stats in the widget (very helpful and meaningful) but I used to be able to have the same stats when I opened the app on the front page and do some quick comparisons. Without an accurate cycle mileage it is all a moot point and useless. Very disappointing. Stop with the new functionality and fix what is broken please.

I have the subscription and love this app. I use it daily on my Apple Watch and iPhone. Mount my phone on the bike with FITIV and I track my ride all the way thru, track my workout, everything. Gives me great info to track my progress with every workout, across many different types. Highly recommend the subscription! Many ways to track - daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. No other app I have found offers this depth of info, extremely helpful for me.

  • recommend it for all my friends

many apps some are better some are worse, but to me this app getting better and better because any crashing is history till this point plus ability to request reasonable improvements … mostly using for jogging/running, but in to gym is ultimate buddy…. bought pro version way before apple watches/nike running appears into market and mostly using with polar HRM straps, but with apple watch works very well too….

  • Love this app

This app made me realize I wasn’t working out to my fullest potential. There were times I honestly felt like I would die but my watch would be like - “nah girllll - youre just being lazy” so I knew I could push harder. Sometimes the opposite. I was going too hard and burning too long anaerobically and that’s bad for weight loss. After two weeks on this app I was down six pounds! I haven’t seen the scale move in YEARSSSS!!! This is awesome!!! I brag about this app in my private womens group on fb. It’s awesome!!! Just wish it had more “categories” of workouts to puck from. Like for ex) if I’m lifting weights AND doing breakouts of cardio - what type of workout should I select? So I use “CrossFit” Cause it’s not just weight lifting. Furthermore it’s not just cardio. It’s def not HIIT. So I never know what to choose. Wish they had one that was “mix” or “resistance training” for my band days. Regardless- it’s a great app!!!
