  • Great for Zone workout, using a polar strap and phone

Doing Zone 2 workouts. Wanted an accurate HR monitor, which meant a chest strap. Didn’t want to add a watch, but also wanted verbal cues when HR changed. Tried several different apps and this one was the winner. The verbal cues are a little delayed, which would be my improvement to the app. However, it’s very easy to watch my HR on app while working out. That was an unexpected bonus. Can also adjust your zones, so thats a nice feature also. Finishing a workout sometimes means sliding the end button twice. A few times, the app didn’t open the first time. Overall though, the app is solid on its options, the display options, and the way it works.

  • Simple. Clean. Just works

This simple app is a great companion to any home or gym workout. Pair with a heart rate monitor and it does everything you want it to do without all the extra fluff.
  • A useful tool

This app provides lots of interesting data and charts. It would be useful to have one or more screen/pages that can be customised to construct a table format, or even better, being able to get that data exported in a file that can be read in a spreadsheet. For example Date, duration, min, max, average heart rate, distance and other parameters measured or calculated in the app.

  • The best . No question about it. But last update screwed you out of every option

So o had the custom options and then updated and lost it all. No mention of that in the update notes so if you want to spend 60 a year for ever feel free. If I’m going to pony up I’m going to get an iwatch 8 and problems solved. Save your self the cash on the endless payments and get a watch instead. All the functions you want out of this app are included.
I was looking for an app that would work with my chest strap heart rate monitor. Most apps are geared toward use with a watch, which I find are less accurate and waaaaaaay overpriced. This app not only lets you track workout metrics, has great user interface but of key importance to me, Allows you to customize your own heart rate zones. No more generic trash that most apps provide. I use a polar h10 and guess what? In order for you to have that feature you need to buy one of their expensive watches. Useless for me. Between my phone and the chest strap heart rate monitor I can key in on my zones and make sure I’m doing what I’ve intended to do whether that’s zone 2 or 4-5. Absolutely great. Tracks calories create custom workouts etc. a must have if you use a chest strap heart rate monitor. 10 stars if it were possible

  • Keep losing my workouts in the middle.

When I pause my rowing and resume it, it just exits the workout without even saving it. This is infuriating. I want a refund.
  • Best app for running and cycling

I’ve tried just about every major running and cycling app out there and I must say that this is the best hands down. The main reason is the fantastic Apple Watch integration. The Apple Watch shows 6 metrics at once! I choose to show HR, HR Zone, Duration, Calories, Split Pace and Total Pace but you can customize the display and choose any 6 metrics that you want to see. Most other apps will only show 3-4 metrics at most on your watch. You can even have some of these metrics voiced every so often you don’t even have to look at your watch. The heart rate analysis you get is also top notch and I believe the best one currently on the market. After your workout you will see a map of your course, which will show what parts your HR was the highest and where you were the fastest. Like I said, it’s the best workout app out there and I’ve tried just about all of them.

  • And…it works again! Yay!

I’ve been a subscriber for several years because I absolutely love this app. A few years ago, it stopped working. It started crashing on a regular basis, and then, after about four months, it started working. After Apple updates their software, it crashes for weeks or months. I got the new Apple Watch 8 when it came out, and same thing, the app started crashing. I wrote a 1-star review, then after a month, it started working. (I uninstalled the app on my phone and watch twice. Then I turned my watch on and off every morning, then tried the app and it works crash. But after a few weeks, it started working again! I had to change my 1-star review to a 5-star one because this is truly the best fitness tracking app I’ve tried and I didn’t want to give up on it. If you have the patience, keep trying. This app is worth it. I created workouts for it and love to use it with my Apple Watch. No need to look at a fitness book, my workout moves are in the app, displayed on my watch!

  • Great app but really bad support

31st October 2022: Still no reply about why the new version no longer streams to iPhone. They just don’t do customer service,

Update 25th October 2022: The new version no longer mirrors workouts on an iPhone. This is fairly typically of their updates. There’s no point contacting their support as they seldom respond once they’ve got your money. Original: The app does what it says on the tin but if you’re looking for information or support on any feature, I’d give it a miss and look elsewhere. Responses are virtually non-existent.

  • WAS the Best workout tracker

I do NOT like the new interface changes. I can no longer shorten a workout (when I forget to end it) or calculate my heart-rate recovery because (A) Time information no longer appears when you move the vertical bar to show heartrate changes; (B) Editing the time to shorten does not change the graph; and (C) You can no longer pinch the graph to zoom in. …unless I’m missing something. Below is my original five star review. I’ve been using FIT IV for several yrs to track various kinds of workouts, mainly advanced pickleball. I especially love the way it tells you how many minutes were spent in each heart-rate zone, has great settings & editing features, automatically calculates avg & max heart-rate, etc., and integrates with Apple Watch. Love it! Well worth the pro price.

  • Awesome fitness app

A great fitness app which integrates nicely with Apple Watch. I like the live view link from my watch to my phone.
