Spot on! Banking, but how it SHOULD be!
I have nothing but good things to say about Starling! I’ve had the app and account for just a few months now and was initially skeptical, but now I’m more than happy to say it’s the ONLY app I’ve ever rated with 5 stars! It has great features, including notifications when money is paid in which is invaluable when running a business because I no longer need to constantly check, but better still is the constant addition of innovative and extremely useful new features like paying in a check digitally with your phone and now the additional card for a ‘trusted’ person to use on your behalf at a pre-designated limit. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK STARLING!!! You’re proving that banking has evolved into the modern age, but traditional banks are still in the dark ages!
Update: STILL 5*! The app is constantly evolving and showing the High Street banks how it should be done! ‘Spaces’ are excellent at keeping my money very well organised and bills etc are taken care of automatically with the right set up, but now with the ‘virtual card’ feature it can also include payments that are not Direct Debit or Standing Order, so ALL payments are taken care of in Spaces. Starling just keeps getting better and better.

Delay from relevant team
They ask very private questions in order to delay payment of the amounts owed to you. And all your work will be disabled from this aspect. From my point of view, you do not download this program because it is the worst service ever for me from all banks.
Headache
If you don’t have a white name, be ready for a full on headache.
Myriad of problems
Not only has the bank stopped any of payments going through which took an entire day of admin time for me- this bank does not allow company secretaries to do any admin so all invoicing and bill payment has to be done by a director who of course has so much time for admin.
Travel spending
It was a pleasure to enjoy traveling with Starling. All transactions went well
Torturous
Having gone through the palaver to open an account do not ever make the mistake of upgrading your phone.
Installing the app on a new phone requires another video to prove your identity. Which would be fine if the button Record A Video Now actually did anything.
I can log on via the website and confirm my identity with my iPad. Sh outta luck on your phone though.

Great bank, great app
I have been with Starling for about 5 years now, and have always used the app. Every aspect of their service is first class, I just hope they continue to innovate and the shake up banking as we know it

Much better than regular banks
Amazing online bank! The app is super user friendly, it’s easy to budget and see summary of spendings. I’ve even used it abroad for travel and never had an issue. And if you need to contact support, their team is very helpful, they’ve helped with airline dispute and made the process effortless. Would highly recommend!
