  • Great resource!

I’ve used this app for years and it has really helped me. My therapist recommended it to me once and I didn’t expect much, but it’s become something I always have on my phone. Growing up, I struggled with depression, and this app has helped me to center myself through simple distractions and helpful questions. Wanted to leave a review to mostly thank the developers :)

  • Great app but now crashes

I like this app so much that I went ahead with the “Large Donation”. After that, when I try to use it I get the message “Runtime error bad argument #1 to ‘finishtransaction’ (store.- transaction expected, got string) So now I can’t use the app at all. I really hope this gets fixed.

Other than this issue, I highly recommend What’s Up? as a great mental health app!

  • Needs a forgot password feature

I used this app regularly for over a year, but then I got locked out of it and can’t regain access to the things I’ve stored there. The app has no “forgot password” feature that I can find, and I can’t find a way to contact support to see about using some other form of verification to get back inside the app. This is a significant design flaw since now the things I wrote in it are basically lost to me. I’d appreciate it if the developer or some kind of tech support team would help me (and others with this issue) find a way back into the app.

  • Error

I can’t use the app at all because it keeps coming up with an error. Even tried deleting the app and re downloading but it still happens. Very disappointed as my psychologist recommended I try this app.

    Developer Response

I’m very sorry about the delay, this was an issue that was hard to track down. I’ve just released an update that should have fixed it. Please reach out to me at whatsupapp.help@gmail.com if you’re still having issues.
  • Tools

This app is great. It made me realize I am not alone in my anxiety and laid out easy to comprehend steps to take to reduce the negative thinking and endless thoughts. I wish there was more of a cbt function to the diary, but because of the tools this app provides I think it deserves 4 stars. Thank you!

  • This is the best app to co-op with your feelings!

This app was recommended to my therapist and it really helps me when im down, either in public or in my bed. I've improved so much better and it makes me feel very happy to be able to understand my feelings!
  • Amazing app

This app is amazing and does exactly what it says on the tin. If you’re struggling with your mental health then I highly recommend downloading this app.

The only problem that I do have is that when you change your location in the app’s settings it stays as Australia for some reason. This is quite annoying as i cannot view any UK-based websites in the “helpful sites” section. If you could fix this bug then that’d be great.

  • What happened

I use to live this app. The little tool didn’t really help me as much becuz I just can’t see how it’s realistic when I have a PTSD episode but I don’t know it’s really made for that, idk. But my favorite part were the forums where ppl could talk and get advice. I enjoy giving advice and helping where I can and I love knowing that someone cares still becuz the world we live in today it’s seems like no one cares anymore but the forums always put hope back into me. Cuz it’s really hard finding someone willing to listen and care and everyone was super nice and helpful on the forums. I’m really sad they are no longer apart of the app and with that said I’m gonna uninstall it.

  • This App is *actually* USEFUL. And FREE!

As a Psych Nurse, (and as a human who deals with all the Feels all the time), I approve of this app.

I’ve only ever written 2 reviews on the App Store. Ever. I hate writing reviews. But I love this app. I just downloaded it tonight, a few hours ago and I’ve been using it ever since.

This app provides you with actual resources. it’s educational in its approach, but in a down-to-earth, practical, relatable way. Along with a “Help Right Now” tab, there’s also a whole section on “Coping Strategies” which goes over 12 of the unhelpful thinking patterns (for example, catastrophizing) and ways to challenge them. Another section goes over 10 useful Metaphors (like, Passenger on the Bus) to help you understand your thoughts. The rest of the app follows along these same lines.

I love structure and this app offers a streamlined layout that is intuitive and user-friendly. There’s also links to websites and print-outs. Win.

I don’t feel like writing a novel, so I’ll stop…..But seriously, the app is that good. Just get it.

  • Umm hello?

App wouldn’t load the second time when I opened it. I put in my password and it was just fetching data. Is there a way to fix it? I quite like the app. But first impression isn’t great.
