immediately crashes after downloading
i really want to change my rating for this app. I’ve seen my roommate using it on his iPhone and it works perfectly. he recommended it to me because he knows i’m doing a lot of rug and furniture shopping for our apartment. I just downloaded it onto my brand new iPhone X and it crashed immediately after downloading. Every time I try to open it it immediately crashes before it even loads the home screen. I haven’t even gotten into the app yet and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it three times. Extremely disappointed in this experience and hoping I can find a fix so that I can blow all my paychecks on this app like I originally intended to (hahahah). from what i’ve seen on my roommates phone it looks amazing!Show less@whisperizing ig

They had a currency problem in the app, it shoes me items with my currency but when the time of buying it it was changing to dollars. I sent many emails and made many over seas phone calls to inform them about this technical problem and to stop my buying transactions. but they didn’t help in anyway , Instead they deducted the full amount from my credit card and never sent the items. just made me wait 20min in every phone call and waste time in useless emails trying to get my money back which I never did . And the app works great. Unfortunately shipping is overpriced, I’ve tried contacting EBTH but they said they don’t control shipping. I live in Hawaii and am familiar with paying for shipping cost, I just ordered a jacket and I’m being charged $60. $60 usually gets you express shipping but they’re shipping ups ground which will take about 10 days to get to California then two to three weeks to get to Hawai’i by boat. The item could fit in a USPS large flat rate box and get to me in 3-5 days. If customers are paying for shipping, especially at these rates we would like our purchase to arrive in a timely manner. Won’t be making any more purchases if I have to wait over a month.Show lessKingkalei420

I love bidding on all types of items on Everything But The House(EBTH)! The on-line site is very easy to use & EBTH has a sections that explains everything, in detail, if you need any help. You don’t have to buy bids, like you do on other sites & can get great deals for fantastic products. EBTH offers really nice products to bid on & a wide variety of items. buyer beware
i’m sure for sellers this is a great app. I was excited to use it but quickly lost interest when i realized that “auctions” are endlessly extended when bidding occurs in the last 5 minutes. Curiously, you never know whom you are bidding against but the bids keep rising
just enough to keep you bidding more. It was pretty easy to see how the system could be gamed by bad actors and given the lack of transparency I would be very cautious that there is not a bot or some other nefarious process driving up prices. I might be more comfortable if there is more transparency similar to eBay.Show lessChristian415

Buyer Beware
The app and website as a service work quite well, design is intuitive and easy to use. However as a customer it was less of a good experience. I will pass along to anyone who reads this that regardless of the terms EBTH uses in an item description such as vintage, old, or reference to dates (ex 1902) consider anything posted to be a reproduction or potentially modified. I encountered this scenario and upon further research found what appears to be the same items being resold every few months using this type of terminology. Odd as EBTH states these are individual and family collections so not sure how all inventory is truly sourced. After a number of emails with a customer associate the conclusion is regardless of the description unless EBTH declares it “original” you cannot get and they will not offer much resolution at least in my scenario. Fun, fast changing auction site! Easy following and bidding, lots of different items for every interest. Experience the lows and highs of attending an auction! Didn’t get a 5 star because most auctions end during dinner time for me, which can bewilder friends and annoy family as I have a habit of throwing food at them and beating a hasty retreat to the kitchen or the ladies if I’m out. Fatal shipping glitch!
Beware of Fatal Flaw: I was shocked to discover some of the items I won on the auction were delivered to the wrong address! I called EBTH and was told their shipping feature is “..very sensitive and will often default to the primary address for a customer... so it is best not to use the phone app to enter shipping. “
Now I have to scramble to find someone to watch for packages getting dropped on the front porch of my second home a thousand miles away from where I want them delivered. Crazy!
I enjoyed using the app and thought the site is laid out attractively. I spent a lot of money on a wide variety of nice items over a short period if time. But shipping and handling are high and can’t be combined. Now I will discontinue using EBTH until this shipping glitch gets fixed and I obtain some satisfaction for the items shipped to the wrong address.Show lessbasketball oldie

i do alot of business with the louisville branch of ebth buying and selling. The staff are truly great people and the managment is flawless. Stephen Couch is an awesome dude to do business with. If your looking for fast money or to move your items quickly, this is not the place. it does take some time 4-6 weeks start to finish but when you get the check... its great. I sell alot with them and i get 2-300% more than i would on Amazon/Ebay. i would recommend to everyone- laydenShow lessCrimp kills
