Good, but much more money than others

Clean interface, looks good, intuitive.

However, subscription cost sinks it. Other capable Pomodoro apps work just as well for far less money.

Great App

Honestly I love this app for my watch alone, it works so well in its own i never have to touch my phone. I can skip long breaks/short breaks if i want to, see all my worked hours, and it counts the seconds right on my watch. The only annoying thing is theres a bug thats causes it not to load for like a day or two and no matter what i do i cant get it to work when this happens. Please fix this! i literally can’t be productive with out it now!

UPDATE
Ive been e-mailing back and forth with the developers for a few weeks and they fixed it! It runs great now. Great communication, really appreciate then help!!!

Hi and thanks a lot for your review. Regarding the bug, can you get in touch with us via support@masterbuilders.io ? We have not heard about this issue before and it would be helpful to get some more details so we can find and fix the bug. Thank you! - Best wishes, Kerstin

Expensive, but works

Way too expensive (why does a timer app need to be a subscription?), but it’s the only pomodoro app I’ve found that reliably syncs running timers between MacOS, iOS, and WatchOS, so good for them I guess. As soon as there’s a similar app that works reliably and doesn’t require a subscription, I’ll drop Focus (even if it’s $40-$50 up front).

Looks great

I was going to try out this app it looks great! But unfortunately the days are gone when I can simply buy the app now every Apple and every dev wants us to pay monthly for the simplest of apps it’s ridiculous. So I figure I can wait until they change from monthly payments or wait until Apple release a copy-cat and the next IOS update. Until than I’ll be using Be focused, you can actually buy their app it’s not pay as you go) or just the timer on my iPhone or watch.

Misleading BAIT AND SWITCH.

Due to the unprofessional response form the developer I’m updating my review to its simplest form. The app is advertised as free, yet it requires a subscription upon opening it following the download. They list a monthly price buried in the app description that has to be expanded. Monthly services typically offer new and changing content. This app is not worth a monthly cost in my opinion. I would certainly pay a one-time fee for it as I did for things like the robust GoodNotes app.

This should not be rated so highly.

How on earth can anyone justify the rating that this app has. You cannot use it at all without paying for a subscription. There are so many apps that are free that have this take a break feature. I’m almost certain that Apple will develop their own if they haven’t already. Why would I pay for a timer? And not even a timer that can be reset without paying. This app is a waste of time and a scam. The app should be free with certain functions available for purchase through subscription. However, in order to access the basic function which is set the timer - you have to pay! No. Outrageous.

Great app!

I am a too lazy of a person to write any review, but I like this app and wanted to share some information and suggestion about the app.

As a law student, I have been feeling anxious, uncertain if I am putting in enough hours for my school work, and this app does a great job letting me track how long I did the work each day. I like that I can adjust a number of minutes for each session In because most of apps only provide pomodoro style 25 minutes as an option. Also, I love that I could have the app fill the whole screen so I could start it again. Before using this function, I always missed hitting the start button again that I ended up deleting similar types of apps because of imprecise hours tracked.

If I may make some suggestions- it would be nice if I could label how many hours I spent on each task. Just a chunk of hours logged only gives me an idea that I did something, but looking back, j don't know on which task I spent my time. Also, a stick or pie graph that shows how many hours I focused on each different task would make this app the greatest. I have been looking for one but there's none that has those functions.

Thank you for this app and please keep up the great work!

Thanks so much! 🙏🏼

Scammy subscriptions

Was billed monthly for subscriptions, and now app won’t let me restore purchase.

I tried reaching out, but when I hit « contact us », safari tells me the site is not secure and I shouldn’t go ahead. I hit continue anyway and now my router blocks the website for security too.

Developer doesn’t look serious enough to manage their certificate and subscriptions properly. But serious enough to collect my money.

Fix the Siri shortcut Bug

The Siri shortcut keeps reporting errors. Please fix this.

Response from developer

That's not the nicest way I've seen people asking for a bugfix for an (yet) unreleased iOS version. But...we're always happy to help -> support@masterbuilders.io
