Leave a Review Migraine Buddy
I love this App
I’ve had migraines the majority of my life but they increased in severity and frequency in the last five years to the point I went searching for more answers and treatments than OTCs could offer. A doctor told me I should be tracking them to better understand my triggers and my research led me to this app. I love the interface. It’s calming to look at when I do have a migraine. It feels like a friend who understands my pain, my triggers, and what helps. Being able to track them and see patterns is very useful. I do subscribe to the plus version but it’s totally worth it to me even though I feel it’s a bit pricey. I’ve been subscribed long enough I’ve seen them add updates and use user feedback to improve what the app offers so I feel like the developers listen and respond to us. I like the discussions with other users. I love that I’m helping contribute to research for migraines. The guides to understanding migraines were helpful because I didn’t know a lot and I learned so much through the app. The app helped me figure out what my triggers even are, and a few were surprising, and other users helped me figure out some options for relief. Great app overall. With a lot of great features even if you don’t subscribe for all of them.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you so much for the compliment. Feedback from people like you are critical to how we improve and continue making Migraine Buddy the best Migraine app for patients by patients. 💖JennyLatest update messed it up - but the problem was with my phone
I had a problem with the screens lagging and not responding so am updating this in case it helps anyone else. I did not notice this behavior with other, but when I was trying to solve an unrelated problem, I had to sign out of my Find My and out of iCloud in order to restore my phone and while I was doing that, I was having the same lag issue where I submitted my password and the screen didn’t look like it was responding properly. But five minutes later suddenly it went and the restore continued.
So after the restore was finished, the problem with Migraine Buddy was also solved. I have to reiterate that this laggy problem was not noticed in any other app except for Migraine Buddy and that one place in iOS. Which is why I kept thinking the problem was with the app.
this app has been my go to app for about seven years - they do keep adding useful features, and they do respond to request for support. I like that it is free, but there are also pay options that increased convenience and helpfulness if they suit you.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you for your feedback. We encountered an issue with the Monkeyfruit update, we fixed it and released a new update. By restoring your icloud it also downloaded this new update with the fix. JennyPick this one!
This app helped me realize my migraines were almost entirely hormonal and develop a better treatment plan with my doctor within like 2 months of usage. I had been tracking my migraines for 6 months on my own and it never occurred to me.
All of the questions it asks are clearly driven by experience of what people who get migraines tend to deal with, what their triggers may be, what their strategies for pain relief are. It prompts you to check in throughout your migraine attack so you can keep good notes, and afterwards it helps you evaluate what interventions were actually helpful. The detailed questions about pain location have really helped me figure out when headaches are just induced by tension or poor posture, which has also helped me use adapt which interventions I’m using.
I also want to give a shout out to the incredible aesthetic design of this app! The black and purple default color scheme never hurts my eyes, and I LOVE the graphics of the person used on the main screen. It’s really pretty and encouraging. Just such an excellent app experience.Show lessDeveloper Response
