Nach Update unbrauchbar!
Es muss dringend nachgebessert werden, nach jedem Update gibts erstmal ein paar Tage Probleme mit den Reservierungen!!! Ich kann nicht einchecken oder sie werden einfach nicht eingeblendet!
Außerdem ist es sehr nervig wenn man eine Buchung umbucht, diese kann man dann in der App nicht mehr sehen bzw. man hat keine Chance diese hinzuzufügen!!! Bzw den Check in durchzuführen. Macht bitte wieder den Web Checkin möglich !!! Bitte !!!! Wieso wurde dieser entfernt ???

Long registration
I already paid and took care of booking . When checking in I had to manually input all of the information for my family (6 of us) into their downloadable app. All other hotel require the person paying to do it. Ridiculous truly! Then it asked my family members to enter their visa number. They don’t have visa numbers because they are visiting from America. I couldn’t submit their info until I came up with a visa number. Frustrating

Stayed at the Copenhagen hotel for 3 nights from
Monday to Wednesday with my wife and 2 children 6 and 9.
We arrived at 1am, Rooms are clean but we had to make beds ourselves.
Staff were great, I had a hypo and one was a great help.
3rd night was a horror movie. People constantly running up and down the halls screaming, banging doors constantly. I can only assume they were a big group who knew each other and trying to wind each other up.
This went on from 8pm to 3pm. Might have continued beyond then but we had a 6am flight to catch. This meant we had no sleep all night and unfortunately I wouldn’t reccomend staying in an A&O hostel to anyone. I know it’s a hostel and I can accept noise up until around 10/11pm or on weekends but this was a midweek on a Wednesday. Sure it’s great if you’re a student.

Clunky, weird UI, and a ridiculous check-in experience. Wrestle all your personal info into the app to check in, then wait for an eternity while staff members manually do everything you did on the app anyways. Ultimate example of just making everything worse by poorly implementing a digital solution and calling it modern. Just start over

steals your money
I booked a room via booking.com and got messages via that from a&o asking me to check-in via the a&o app, so I got the app, went through the check-in process which asked me to pay in full, was taken to a blank page with no confirmation after I paid, but the payment was pending on my credit card app. I explained this to the hotel reception staff who called head office or someone and since the app never put a payment confirmation on their system they took payment from my card via booking.com. So I was charged twice for the same room, and twice for late check out. The app just steals your money! I’m trying to get a refund (and having to get a&o support emails translated from German)

aktuell nicht zu gebrauchen
Leider arbeitet die App aktuell nicht gut. Beim Check-in werden Extras gebucht, die nicht löschbar sind und Extras angeboten, die es nicht in jedem Standort gibt - Problem: das Personal kann nicht helfen, da die dieses Extra gar nicht angezeigt bekommen, merkt man leider erst, wenn schon bezahlt ist. Die Preise für die Bar sind vor Ort leicht abweichend und der Türöffner scheint so oft nicht zu funktionieren, dass das Personal sofort die Keycard zückt, bevor man den Satz zu Ende gesprochen hat…

App stürzt ab
Ich habe vor einpaar Jahren ein Gutschein erhalten, dieser ist noch bis Februar 2026 gültig. Nun wollte ich ihn einlösen aber die angegebene Internetseite funktioniert nicht mehr. Also MUSSTE ich mir die A&O Hostel app runterladen.
Ich habe den Gutschein dort hochgeladen. Seitdem stürzt die App ab sobald ich einen Standort eingeben möchte. Ich habe es über 2 verschiedene Geräte ausprobiert, bei beiden Geräten stürzt die App ab.

Wahnsinnig träge, eine Menge Funktionen gehen einfach überhaupt gar nicht.
Update 3.0.1 zerstörte funktionierende App
Seit dem Update kann ich mich nicht mehr einwählen. Meldung UserIdnotexist. Passwortänderung brachte keine Verbesserung. Neuanlage ebenfalls nicht möglich, Meldung: UserExist. Jetzt stehe ich ganz ohne da.

Nicht nur das App ist schrecklich ! auch das Hostel an sich ! sehr veraltet in Hamburg am Hauptbahnhof , dreckige kleine Küche stinkende Räume ..Lift und Flur draußen sehr dreckig und stinkig ! Mitarbeiter bemühen sich aber zum Teil auch ist denen auch egal weil die unter besetzt sind und lange Schlangen immer davor steht .. in Zimmern sind Betten sehr alt und mit stinkende Matratzen .. der Gegend an sich ist eher ne Junkie Ecke !
Also hier ist ne Zumutung zu schlafen ! Auch Bettwanzen in Zimmern !

Would not allow me login with my email address that ended in .co.uk. They seem to assume all email address should ended in .com

Sorry, das ist absolut umständlich. Und leider auch nicht. Das erste Mal die Option über die App einchecken funktioniert einfach nicht. Die Daten stimmen alle aber die App bockt trotzdem. Ohne die App online funktioniert gar nicht erst.

Tür öffnen nicht möglich , erst 20 Minuten für den registtrierungsprozess opfern um dann wieder 10 Minuten nach der fehlfunktion an der Rezeption zu stehen … Mega mies

Kann leider meine Buchungen nicht hinzufügen. Da kommt immer eine Fehlermeldung. Daher idt die App leider unbrauchbar. :(

Vielen Dank an das Team der Pizza und Pilsener, es war ein guter Aufenthalt problematisch empfinden wir dagegen den nicht bewachten Parkplatz, weshalb wir hier für uns ein Mindest abgezogen haben, würden uns wünschen dass es eine bessere Security Verhältnis gibt gegenüber der Besucher, gerade für Menschen mit Handikap/Usability und auch reduced mobility hatten wir deutlich bessere Sicherheit als auch Security

Doesn't work
Doesn't work, kick out of the app during the booking on the different steps (had never finished booking once), glitches a lot in the different areas and can't add a key to the room.
