Great App, But…
The app on iPhone is great however I wasted money on the subscription to use CarPlay. It doesn’t return to your route without having to use your phone, very laggy to update and relies heavily on data connection. Stick with iOS app and that is great.
Progressively Getting Worse and Worse
The developers of this software actually need to use it. Over the past three years each update gets worse and worse. To the point where today it’s functionally broken. Can’t even add a vehicle and plan a route. Please return this app back to the stable and useful version it was three years ago. Shame on the developers for letting this app become so useless for what was at one point the benchmark in EV route planing.

Discontinued my subscription
I used a BRP on my trip to New Jersey. And it was during that trip that I realized there’s just too many things missing in the routing and how it routes that make it tough to use. An example I had to transition from I-95 to I-287 in Northern New Jersey. It put me in totally the wrong lane through the tollbooth and I wasn’t able to make the transition. By comparison in using the built-in navigation on my Mustang.Mach-E it does a much better job turns and exits. We are multiple lanes are involved. Also, the audio instructions are incomplete in my opinion. It needs a speech input to make changes while in route. Clearly the product has some very nice features just not enough at this time to keep using the product.

Dangerously inaccurate data
While I like the route optimization the app consistently misquoted posted speed limits. Apple & Google maps and my onboard VW apps all posted speed limits that accurately reflected roadside postings. At one point I was directed onto a bridge which was closed for construction! This bridge has been closed for some time yet its status was not reflected on its routing. This lapse in data delivery is both disappointing and dangerous.

Worst purchase of the App Store
I’ve taken half a trip with this app and so far it’s taken me off the freeway twice for no reason costing me 20 minutes of detour. Both times it just put me right back on the freeway but no traffic etc to justify it. Second time the on-ramp was closed so I had to backtrack 5 miles.
It can’t get my charge or range right so almost left me stranded if I hadn’t manually intervened. It’s almost 10% off on the readings. It’s insane.

Stopped working
I opened the app today and I was logged out. I tried logging in but my email or password are not recognized. I tried resetting my password but I never received an email. What happened?

i paid for the premium features and regret doing so.
while the charger location and charge level-planning part of the app are pretty good, the navigation component of this app is terrible. guidance features are 15 years behind any other navigation app (apple or google maps, waze, whatever).
besides what other reviewers have said about the navigation problems, I want the display to clarify lane choice when it’s necessary, and I think there should be a way to set the map at a preferred zoom level — but every time I zoom in or out, a few seconds later the display always jumps back to whatever it wants. not sure if that’s a big or WAD. Generally, not many user configurable settings, and the ones they _do_ have aren’t easy to use.

7.1.7: several bugs remain
The app has greatly improved but version 7.1.7 seems to only use current location when sharing the plan with Google Maps, making this feature effectively unusable for planning. The issue is not present when sharing plan with Apple Maps.
For example, if I plan a London-Edinburgh road trip but live in Norwich, ABRP tells Google Maps that departure of the trip is from Norwich instead of London when the plan is shared with Google Maps.
There is another bug: details of charging locations are not displayed anymore once they’ve been bookmarked. Clicking on the location only displays “dropped pin”
Please fix.
Also, just like you can send the journey defined with ABRP to Google Maps or Apple Plans, a great addition would be to be able send a trip planned in Google Maps or Apple Plans to ABRP to tweak it in terms of chargers etc.
Another suggestion: could you please keep a list of the chargers excluded in the “Charging settings”, so that they can be included again more easily if need be?

Great product BUT
When setting your home destination why is there NO home button ? There is a work button but no home instead you have to go under saved searched and pick your address
Works Great
I used it with a Bluetooth OBD2 for a long unplanned trip to Pittsburgh to drop off my daughter after spring break when all the flights where canceled coming from O’Hare. Even with the range down because of the cold and high highway speeds only needed to stop 3 times. Routed me to my preferred charger Electrify American. I used it with my KIA EV6.

Great, but not.
There is a lot to like about this app, but it’s not quite good enough to replace Apple or Google Maps, so I need to plan my routes with it, and then switch back to Apple. My biggest issue is that if you put in multiple stops (sometimes just to force a different route) and you do not drive exactly to those stops, it will continue to try and route you to those stops, with no (cancel stop) prompt. You need to stop your car and replan a route. It is also slow to identify traffic problems or road issues. I once drove 15 km down a road to find the bridge was out. Google and Apple would have known about this. It does work nicely in CarPlay, and it does talk to my OBD dongle, so I hope it will improve in future.

Major bugs introduced with this version—please fix!
Normally a 5 star app in my opinion, but with the latest version it will not remember my vehicle regardless of which way I add it—including by manually inputting vehicle details while planning a route. This makes it unable to plan a route right now and thus useless. Please fix!
Frustrating, Buggy, Inconsistent, not worth the subscription.
I had seen several references to ABRP as being the smarter way to plan long distance EV trips. We tried, we subscribed, we got frustrated and gave up. (1) Car Play in a Kia was flakey. The map would occasionally zoom out and then get stuck at fully zoomed out. Not use when doing a long trip. (2) We specified a charging network preference, multiple times it chose a rival network nearby that would have cost substantially more. (3) While planning a trip on the phone (17ProMax with latest iOS), we could put the start and end points but when we wanted to swipe up to specify the EV SoC before departure, on multiple occasions the tab would slide back down preventing us from changing the SoC. A restart of the app and the function came good. Overall it was massively buggy so we went back to our EVs own planning app and route planning which always chose our preferred charging network unless it wasn’t possible, gave us a good understanding of the expected SoC at the destination point. The only thing it could do was aim include a preferred destination SoC. Oh, last thing, online connection to our EV didn’t work. We appreciate that this was an EV issue rather than ABRP but it just added to the frustration.

Absolutely useless, cannot add vehicle
Can’t plan a route without a vehicle, and app fails to add vehicles. Completely worthless. Used anyway and it routed me to a level 2 charger it mislabeled as level 3. Negative a million stars.
7.1.5 unusable mess
how is this so badly broken and still on the store? this should be removed and rolled back to 7.1.4 get real... flickeding screen enough to give someone an epileptic fit, search completely broken that u have to use stupid workaraounds like defining every destination you want as a poi before you can find anything on the app...

App Freezes
Completely useless. The app freezes when I try to select a vehicle.
Paris …. Really?!
I was quite impressed with ABRP until it decided to take me into Paris on a trip from south of France to ferry. I mean the arch de triumph is impressive, just not on the holiday list. The fact while stopped at traffic lights it thought I’d pulled into a charging station and was charging was another chuckle. It was then I turned it off
and went back to VW built in app. Not sure I would depend on it now.😵💫
