I have switched phones and I have done everything I possibly can to put in a number to login, it always goes in the first time, and then when it says to verify it, I absolutely nothing happens. It won’t even let me put in a number so how am I supposed to pay my bills? I haven’t even been able to pay AFFIRM due to this issue.. There’s no more for me to complain or to get help and I have been with AFFIRM for many years and I absolutely love this app, but this is ridiculous!

Unable to Update Phone Number
I talked to customer support, and it took about half an hour. I had to verify my profile twice, but I’m still unable to update my phone number, so I can’t log in to my account.

I’ve been really happy with my Affirm account, I know exactly how much my payments are and they keep me posted and send reminders when my payment is due, my favorite way to get the things that I want and need with low reasonable payments…

Was Good, Better Options Elsewhere
Idk how Affirm is still in business. The concept is great, it WAS helpful.. but now, it feels exclusionary and comes across as classist and, as a result, borderline racist. Their policy is the problem..
Years ago, I was able to use Affirm to help purchase everything from vacations and electronics to small, simple purchases. But for at least 2 years now I can’t even get approved for a small purchase of less than $100, when other installment pay platforms give me much more than that, with (similar credit since then, 10+/- points—and) lower fees!
I would even be willing to pay more in interest to purchase using Affirm, but it’s as if they’re so convinced that if you don’t have a perfect credit score and/ or immaculate payment history you’ll rob them. This clearly isn’t necessary, considering how many other platforms are doing better than Affirm.
Many months ago, I sold my small amount of stock in this company that I’d had since its IPO because they never made my losses back and they just keep disappointing me.
The app developers need to create a condition that stops sending push notifications to users, suggesting/ advertising anything to them if they have been denied in the last 6 months. But I suppose that’d be only for us who are foolish enough to keep the app even after so many disappointments.. They’re making it seem like everyone can use Affirm when it’s extremely difficult to get approved.
Until they loosen up their borrowing requirements, I can’t recommend them to anybody. Neither the service, nor the app.

Cash App, After Pay is much better
Not a fan of how affirm will pick and choose approval period. Cash App gives more credit especially when payments are made on time. Affirm can get their payments on time and still take away credit.

I used to be really happy with affirm but now im not. Nothing has changed with my income or my credit score. I have made on time payments always. Im still paying and they keep turning me down even for a small 60.00 purchase. Im done with them after i pay them off. I cant and wont deal with a sometimey company,

This company scams people. Holds onto their money indefinitely until you file a complaint with the government. Do not use.
Site Connection Not Secure Not Just When Shopping Amazon but Often
Consistently receiving Site/Connection not secure. This is inconvenient for me and Affirm is losing business. Lacking in security and competence. I do not recommend. Use Klarna or Afterpay instead. Poor to little communication as well. Appears to be too suspicious or susceptible to fraud.

Need?
Call me either poor or financially disenchanted. I’ve paid 30% interest on my Affirm loans for over two years with lower income than most. That considered, 30% interest rates with my income is evil. Do interest rates improve MY life? There’s the disenchantment. The concept of “purchasing power” is their estimate (or lie) of what they can loan you. I understand debts are paid back at 30% interest, yet Affirm lies when I say I have “purchasing power” when my yearly income is less than $12,000 a year. I don’t have “purchasing power” with my circumstances and that’s the reason I borrow money with Affirm.
Poverty is costly, and the interest I’ve paid for two years has not interested financial institutions in remedying my poverty. Financial institutions are doing too little to remedy the widespread financial inequity here in the USA

Promos Don’t Stop
Even when you turn off Push notifications for everything but payment reminders you get constant promo notifications. I’ll just use the website thanks.
Fair but too many promotions
I regret signing up for this service. When I open the app to make my regular monthly payment I am blocked by promotions that I am unable to skip. My email inbox is filled with more promotions. If I had known all of this I would never have signed up. Not worth the frustration!
Terrible
The app doesn’t even let me sign in. Tried to use affirm for a purchase, was approved for a loan, then the purchase wasn’t processed but they put an account hold for my down payment. Won’t get that money back for 2 weeks, as long as affirm isn’t really a scam that is. Would not recommend at all. They have a ton of complaints filed with the better business bureau. Their customer service is a joke too. I asked them to send a confirmation email and they never did.
