#AffirmStrideBank mishandled my account and initiated an unauthorized electronic funds transfer.
I reopened my #Affirm account this week with zero prior activity, confirmed by my May and June 2026 statements showing no loans, no charges, no balances, no pending transactions. Despite that, #AffirmStride processed a $28.91 debit tied to a #FlamingoHotel “no‑show” charge and routed through #Experian, even though I have no active relationship with either merchant and have not used them since last year.
Under 12 CFR §1005.2(m) ( #RegulationE ), this meets the definition of an unauthorized electronic fund transfer.
Under 12 CFR §1005.6(b)(1), I am not liable for unauthorized transfers.
Both statements prove the charge should not have existed at all.

Very disappointed
My first transaction was great went smooth but I have try another one after I paid off the first one early and all of a sudden close to 90% down for a very small loan might as well just pay in cash at that point and then I tried later again and I can even get a loan ,I paid the initial loan in full 3 weeks early!!!!!! (That’s not a customer you want???? )Not a large amount very minor loan also when I do try to finance through affirm it completely logs me out now chat bot is for the birds it just read to you the print you read when you open it literally a bot. no help there so I lock the card and forget it not useful at all anywhere

The Link For Specialized Bikes is Broken
I’ve been using the Affirm app for several years and for the most part it has worked flawlessly. The link to shop Specialized bikes has been broken for several months. Each update I anticipate the bug to be fixed but it isn’t. “Invalid advertiser ID”. Please fix. Thx.

Forced Update Broke App
Literally opened the app to use the app to make a payment. Not only did the app prevent me from using it till I downloaded the ”mandatory update”.
After I completed the update I had to login again and create a new app passcode. Only problem. The app is not allowing input on the “Re-enter your passcode” screen.
Soooo stupid. Did they even test this? I already had a passcode set. Ended up deleting the app and reinstalling to get past the issue.

My 730+ credit score dropped at the time over a pair of beats that I could afford but wanted to make my life more convenient and split up the payments. Was not worth it. If you can afford to pay in full the inconvenience now and save yourself the trouble later.
Don’t change your phone number or you’ll be locked out of your app.
I changed my phone number and no longer have access to my old one. Because of this, I can’t log into either the app or the website. The only recovery option appears to be an email verification that never arrives, no matter how many times I request it. If the verification email doesn’t arrive, Affirm’s website instructs you to telephone customer services.
As a disabled person with severe anxiety, making telephone calls isn’t a realistic or accessible option. This means I have effectively been locked out of my account because there is no genuinely accessible alternative. Under the Equality Act 2010, service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments where disabled people would otherwise be placed at a substantial disadvantage when accessing their services. By relying almost entirely on telephone support for account recovery, Affirm’s process does not appear to provide an accessible alternative for disabled customers who cannot use the telephone.
I’m also concerned about the identity verification process. Not everyone has photo ID. I’m disabled, I’ve never driven and I’ve never travelled abroad, so I don’t own a driving licence or passport. A birth certificate is an official document that should be considered alongside other forms of verification, yet there is no option to use it as part of the verification process.
To make matters worse, it is extremely difficult to find a clearly published customer service email address. For anyone who cannot use the phone, there should be a clear, reliable and effective written way to contact a real member of staff and receive support.
Accessibility shouldn’t be an afterthought. Every customer deserves a way to access their own account, regardless of disability or whether they own photo ID.

Lowers fico and credit score
Using this, even if you don’t miss any payments and pay in full a few weeks later, will tank your score 25 points. When it is paid off will only raise your score a point or two, leaving you with a worse score than before. So not at all good to try and help you build credit. I should have just used my debit card.

Stuck at re-enter password
Try to open Affirm app today, got prompted to use mobile number to log in, then verified with 6-digit code sent to my phone. A screen popped up to creat password, next screen to re-enter password, but the keypad has no response on this screen. Stuck here and cannot proceed.
Why cannot you give a Face ID entry way or allow to log in with other methods? Very frustrated being blocked and cannot use the app.

Non existent customer service
I’ve had a minor technical issue that should be easy to resolve yet their service is a maze of AI bots and human chat agents that close the conversation before it’s ever started

I enjoy using the app and like that it lets you choose your payment plan options. One thing that could make the app better is being able to select multiple orders to pay off together.

Says “YOU HAVE $700 SPENDING POWER” but yet it can’t give me any plans for a $200 order? AI assistant says the $700 is an “estimate” which would still make no sense not being able to do anything with a $200 order not even letting me pay half up front. App is pointless and misleading
Non functioning
The support on here directs you to the main website. They don’t have a chat button and it’s so hard to locate the right help. Guess what? Nothing for the app. I have trying to sign in and it requires a passcode now. I set up the first and then I have to confirm only it sits on the confirm screen and I get no where. I’ve already authenticated my phone number. It’s incredibly frustrating. I just want to make additional payments. Take my money!

Got declined at checkout after approved
I picked a plan and everything. Approved for the purchase. Added the card to apple wallet. Got decline at checkout. Support really don’t give af. They be trolling you. Don’t do business with them .
