Great for pregnancy
I’m 22 weeks into my pregnancy and been using Alive Pregnancy Empowered for the last 10+ - I love it. You can switch workouts around easily and I feel really confident in the gym. Thank you for making this!
Nice app, some potential to be better
I like this app, been using it for years. I think it has a nice variety of programs. I wish ab/core workouts were included in full body workouts more. It seems to be a muscle group that gets neglected in nearly every program unless you select an ab workout to tack onto the end. Would be nice if I didn’t have to piecemeal workouts like that just to get core exercises. Would also love a program focused on cross training to improve running.

Love these workouts!
I have been following the 3 day essentials program for about a month now and it is so easy to follow, super user friendly and gives me a great workout every time!! Takes all the guess work out of going to the gym!
New Issues
I have loved this app for a while however have been getting new issues popping up. Yesterday I did a full 45 minute push workout that was recorded. Logged on today for legs and it shows I didn’t do the prior workout. There’s also times where I will record my weights and reps but then the next set my reps have been wiped out.
I would also love if there were a way to add in core workouts like they have the options for warm ups and cool downs.

Well Done
I’ve been using this app since the very beginning. I took a few months off for personal reasons, but now that I’m back, I’m blown away by how much it has improved.
The new rep tracker for each set is a total game changer. It’s incredibly helpful for advanced lifters who want detailed progress tracking, but it’s also a great tool for beginners learning how to monitor their weights and progression week after week.
Huge thank you to Whitney and the entire team for continuing to make the app better and better. Glad to be back👏🏼

Gets boring
I do like this app a lot and has been using it for years. But honestly I see no difference in coaches training styles. I get you have to stick with the same exercise in order to do progressive overload, but it does get super super boring after a while no mater which trainer you choose because they’ll have similar programs if not identical.

So much potential
I really wanted to love this app because it has a lot of potential. The interface is clean, user-friendly, and easy to navigate, which makes getting started simple.
However, the biggest issue is the lack of exercise guidance and education. Many of the exercise videos are silent and provide little to no instruction on proper form, setup, or common mistakes to avoid. Some exercises don’t even have videos that match the programmed movement—for example, a dumbbell exercise may be demonstrated using a cable machine instead. This can be confusing, especially for beginners who rely on demonstrations to learn correct technique.
A number of the videos also appear to be repurposed social media clips rather than professionally produced exercise tutorials. While this works well for platforms like TikTok, it feels out of place in a paid fitness app where users are expecting detailed coaching and instruction.
Another issue is the lack of exercise variety. The same movements seem to appear repeatedly across workouts, making the programming feel repetitive over time.
Most concerningly, some of the demonstration videos appear to show exercises being performed with questionable technique. For an app designed to guide people’s training, exercise demonstrations should consistently model correct form.
Overall, the app is easy to use and has a strong foundation, but it would benefit greatly from more comprehensive exercise instruction, accurate demonstration videos, higher-quality educational content, and greater exercise variety.

Love it, but wish learn vids were better
I really have enjoyed using this app and am almost done with the first program I’ve tried! I’ve seen a lot of progress and can’t wait to start another program. I only wish the learn videos for different exercises were more informative, including tips for what to think about to make sure you’re engaging the right muscles. Some of the videos just talk about the exercises without really talking about how to properly do it. Even seemingly simple exercises would be great to have videos for beginners

Live laugh love alive
I love, love, love this app (especially the women centered part). It has made me feel more confident in the gym and I go in knowing what I’m working on. I struggle with making my own workouts and routine and this completely erased that worry. I love that there is a video showing how the exercise should look which is super helpful to perfect my form.
The only thing I would love to see is recommended starting weights and recommended weight increases throughout the week. Sometimes I don’t know where to start or how much heavier I should lift and I think having those recommendations would be super helpful. Also possibly a compatibility with Garmin maybe?:)

Great resource!
This app has kept me accountable, made working out fun, and taught me so many new workouts that I can incorporate into my daily life! I started my journey 4 weeks ago and can honestly say it has been the perfect mix of challenging and motivating.
Love this app!
I absolutely love this app, it is super easy to use and completely customizable. The best feature it has, which I haven’t seen before, is being able to listen to music AND the workout without it pausing or quieting my music! I wouldn’t say it is too expensive but for others it may be, for me it is worth it, it helps me not look crazy in the gym as well as perfect home workouts to complete on your own time.

Excellent but missing a few things
I am loving every second of this app. It feels so great to train with it, exercises have their own mini videos for you to follow through and make sure you are doing them correctly. The warm up and cool downs are also so helpful to avoid injury and truly make me feel like I have a physical trainer with me for my lifts. But I do wish there was a calendar where I could track cardio as well or follow cardio workouts, and I’d love to not have a robotic voice dictating the name of the exercises. Maybe we can get the trainers to call out the exercises and maybe talk to you throughout the movement to remind you to lock in certain things etc. because I put my phone aside to complete the exercise, so having that in my ear would be super helpful. Other than that, I’m loving it and been training with it every day for the past 3 weeks. Life changing

Pregnant mamas
I did the pregnancy program throughout my entire first pregnancy, with my second I only did a couple of weeks because when you put your due date in, it sets up your workout according to your due date and that’s the only thing I do not like. I want to start my week of workouts on Monday or Tuesday so getting the option to choose start day of the week would make this program PERFECT. I’d come back for that!

Why can’t I cancel? I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to cancel? If I get charged I will be disputing. And you can’t even contact anybody? What a sloppy app!!!
Love this App
I recently started working out at 5AM and this app helps me complete my workout on time and it helps me stay consistent.
It’s nice.
It’s a nice app. Clean, minimal, easy to use. I would like a more personal experience and if the coach was speaking instead of a robo lady but hey like I said it’s nice.

Having a very difficult time canceling this subscription
Doesn’t save my workouts
I like the programs and the workouts however when I go in later in the week it shows that I did rest days on everyday when I didn’t. I made to complete the workout and everything but then I goes away. It says I haven’t done any workouts in the 3 weeks I’ve been doing the program.
Good for beginners or those needing a plan
I used Alive for close to two years before eventually moving to a different app where I could get a lot more for the same money.
It has come a long way from when I first started using it but I think you hit a ceiling very quickly. The plans are good, however the exercises on the plans tend to change every two weeks and while you’re doing the same movement patterns this makes it hard to focus on progressive overload. The plans also don’t necessarily hold you accountable as they count complete sessions rather than days.
I do think that Alive is a big part of where my confidence in the gym comes from so I am eternally grateful for that!! But I think it took too long for the app to include exercise explanations and form cues, some of which didn’t load or match the exercises at the point where I stopped using the app (teething issues, so I get it).
I think the app has its place but almost requires you to follow the trainers on socials to get the most out of it.
