Zelle transfers
I have had regular problems obtaining confirmation on Zelle transfers . They may take days to show up as confirmed.

I only use this app to pay off a vehicle. When I need to pay my monthly bill it takes way too long for my money to come out of my actual bank account and go into the ally payment.

Great app, But the User Experience Needs Work
I love Ally Bank, and Buckets are one of the main reasons I chose it. However, the recurring transfer feature is confusing and feels disconnected from the Buckets.
If I already have percentages assigned to my Buckets, I shouldn’t have to go into Boosters > Recurring Transfers and manually enter dollar amounts again. The recurring transfer should automatically use the percentages I’ve already set.
Recurring transfers should also be managed inside each Bucket, where users can simply toggle Automatic Transfers on or off, edit the schedule, and see the next transfer date. It shouldn’t be hidden in a separate section of the app.
It also needs to be much clearer where the Bucket transfers are getting their money from. A simple message like, “Transfers will be funded from your Core Savings balance,” would eliminate a lot of confusion.
I’d also love the option to choose custom transfer dates instead of only weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedules since not everyone gets paid on the same schedule.
Finally, the help guides need to be more interactive. Instead of only explaining where a feature is, they should include a button that takes users directly to that page, making it much easier to find and use.
Buckets are an amazing feature with a lot of potential. A few user experience improvements would make Ally one of the best banking apps available.

App responsiveness needs improvement
The app is great when functional. But it could take up to a minute to access even the dashboard after logging in. Sometimes the whole app freezes and crashes and you’ll need to login in.
makes money simple but randomly doesn’t work
i love how simple the app is, how easy everything is to figure out, but i haaate hate HATE how things just randomly don’t work. it could be peak usage hours or the middle of the night, doesn’t matter the time, and it randomly just says ally is down for maintenance or something random. sometimes it won’t even let you deposit checks and will give you bs reasons like “can’t take this check! talk to the person who wrote it” but then the check works at a different bank. it makes me seriously consider switching banks. if you’re gonna use it, don’t use it as your primary bank like i did.

If your headquarters is in Michigan. Why can’t you afford people who speak English. Stop sending work over freakin seas!!! Mumble words. Thick accents no one can hardly understand. Barely speaking. It’s ridiculous!!! I cannot wait till I never have to call these numbers again!!!! Getting transferred 4 times!!! Given 6 different numbers to call!!!

Glitchy App
Used to app to make a transfer and it errored out, chat with customer service and it also was super glitchy.
I don’t want ads in my banking account
I was not impressed to see an ad for 3 months of instacart taking up more than 30% of my apps start screen labeled as a “loyalty” program.
I want to see my banking information when I log in, not this.
Things like this make me question my 20 years of loyalty to Ally.

Really hate that every single month i have to update this app just to make a payment. There really cant be that many changes that need to be made, its annoying and inconvenient

Needs a new dictionary
Typical of misguided males example allied powers. All Alley did was drop the e from alley. Example “Y” drop the y and ied for allied powers. Or, don’t and get allying which is improper we drop the y to add “ing”.

Worst account I have had
I opened an account for my everyday spending and just by trying to connect some otherbank accounts they blocked me completely. Was on phone multiple Hours Cause they have to call my other bank accounts so they can allow connection never had this experience before. As soon as I get unblocked will be withdrawing my funds and closing this horrible account.
