App Crashes During Checkout
I have been using this app for a couple years now. The current version gets to the checkout process when purchasing tickets and immediately crashes when it gets to the screen to select forms of payment. I have deleted and reinstalled with the same problem each time. No choice but to buy on the website or in person…and then what’s the point of this app?
Also, Angelika runs a scam with their gift cards. Because they do not let you choose two forms of payment when you check out on the website, you can never spend either a gift card balance or reward dollar balance that is less than the price of your cart. Everywhere else in the world, you can spend the $8 left on a gift card, then pay the balance of your cart with your credit card, but not with Angelika. This is theft, you buy a gift card and can never spend it all, giving your money to Angelika for the gift card and never getting it back. I have reached out to their customer service multiple times about this issue with no response ever.

Doesn’t accept my login
I created an account yesterday. The theater can see my information through my phone number so I know it worked, but the app (and website) won’t accept my login; I saved my password with my email to my phone for auto login when I created it so I’m 100% sure my password and email are correct based on how I registered, yet the app (and website) state that my credentials are invalid and that my email/password combo are incorrect - which is quite literally impossible. Please fix this. Thank you.

App Crashes
The app is literally useless. You can see showtimes, but once you try to purchase tickets or try to purchase food ahead of time, the app crashes. Doesn’t matter how many times you try it it never works. I have contacted Angelika four times over the past year, asking them to fix this, and they only have they not fixed it but they haven’t even acknowledged receipt of my message. Angelika is a great theater line, but they need to dedicate some attention to their app.

Poor user interface
When I try to check out, it closes the app. I have to go to the website to buy tickets. Also, I have multiple gift cards that I purchased through the app with no problem. But there’s no way to combine them or use multiple smaller amounts toward purchases. I’m trying to use my member benefits to get the discount on concessions and can’t even find it easily.

Film Trailers within the App
Just joined the Angelika membership and love how the app has the list of showings for my theater so I can know what’s showing when. That’s great. Would love to see on the Film Info tab a link to see the the trailer for that film. That would be huge and awesome and think that would give me the info I need to make a quick decision on whether to see the movie. Currently I rarely commit to seeing a movie without seeing the trailer. Thank you for your app and considerations for this improvement request.

App Crashes
The app is touted a convenience so you can order food ahead and skip the line. You’re also supposed to get 10% off if you’re a member and order through the app.
Unfortunately, I have NEVER been able to order food through the app and I have tried for over a year. No matter what, the app crashes as soon as I select “continue to payment.”
This is a HUGE problem (especially given that the app is promoted especially for making the food ordering easier). It’s also been going on for a year or more. I’ve emailed corporate about this to no avail.

App needs improvement
To say it’s “buggy” is an understatement.
List of issues:
1 - Allowing you to follow the path to purchase a movie then just blinks out of the App. Happens frequently
2-Does not allow you to make a purchase from multiple payment sources - though it specifically notes that you can.
3- Because of #2 you end up with multiple gift cards with no amount suffient to “buy” a movie ticket.
4- Out of shear frustration I went into the theatre to purchase tickets - they can not apply a gift card to my in-person purchase.
5- Because of 4 and 1 above by the time I actually was able to purchase tickets I had lost the seats I really wanted to have.
I’m at the point it might be better for my time to go to Cinopalis in Del Mar 🤨

Clunky
You can order food but the app doesn’t give you any way to see what/if you ordered. There is no record. There are no instructions on how/where to pick up what you ordered. The only record is an email - that it doesn’t tell you it sent.

Crashes on load since Covid 2020
Here we are 3 years later and this app still just crashes on launch loading what is in theaters unless you tap to your account to stop the crash . Trying to order food with the app also crashes. Takes me an avg of 3 attempts to place an order. This app is basically unusable. Better off using the website with a browser. I wish I could give this app less than 1 star

It have been a few months, i already reported it to the staff. Pre order food thru app haven’t been working for around 6-8 months

My password doesn’t work on my phone and my desktop. It only works on one when it’s changed by admin. I have gone through so many tech problems with this app. I’m close to thinking it’s just not worth it anymore.
Bugs using gift cards
I’m using v1.9.1
Can’t use gift card when balances are less than the amount of purchase of tickets. I have a bunch of gift card balances I can’t use now. App errors when trying to use.

Too many bugs
Crashes when you try to buy tickets. Won’t let you use multiple payments, resulting in leftover gift card balances. Hopefully these get resolved soon!
Cannot buy tickets on app
App never works to buy tickets and you can’t use a gift card if you buy in-theater. Only utility is checking showtimes
Everything is great until you need to purchase tickets
I can pick the movie, pick my seats and then when you try to pay, you get kicked out of the app. So I have to drive to the theater a day or two before the show time that I want to ensure that I can get the seats that I want. Very, very inconvenient.
Difficulty getting an account
I set up an account with an apple password. System will not recognize it. I asked system to reset twice but it will not send me the reset email. I am super frustrated and there is no help Number to call.
Effective but Bug Report
Love Angelika. Best movie experience IMHO. App is buggy though. I’ve signed up for Rewards program but it doesn’t reflect so when I make purchases via the app. Tried signing out as well re-registration on web. App still doesn’t show membership.
