Crash fixes - Fixed the issue where athenaCapture application is not responsive.

User reviews

Nice try, but super glitchy and limited functionality

For example, I cannot get the flash to turn off. And on the occasions I do get the app to respond to my tap to turn the flash off, it resets when I go the next page. It’s also not responsive to my touch for cropping.

Response from developer

Hi, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused. We’d like to inform you that our team is currently investigating these issues and working on a fix. We truly appreciate your patience, and we’ll keep you updated once the issue has been resolved.

Not working

Had the app for at least 21/2 years. However for the last 4 days , nothing!! The camera does not work to scan the QR code! Quite frustrating

Out of focus pictures

Taking pictures up close are blurry. We are unable to see points of infection. Example tick bites. Please fix camera.

Response from developer

Hi, Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty capturing clear images. We're aware of an issue where images can appear blurry when the device is held very close to an object, which can make it challenging to capture details. We are glad to inform you that, with the upcoming December app release, the app's camera has been improved to automatically adjust focus. This means close-up photos will be much clearer, and the camera will work more reliably across different devices. We appreciate your patience and hope this update will improve your experience.

Doesn’t upload pictures right away

The app doesn’t upload pictures right away, which makes it frustrating to use. Also, whenever I reopen the app after minimizing it, it just shows a blank screen instead of loading properly. Hope these issues can be fixed soon!

Why can’t I select the patient chart I want to upload to instead of taking a picture of the QR code?

I would use this feature a lot more often if I was able to select the patient I want to upload the photo to instead of using the QR code (that you can only access from the desktop), then reassigning document labels from my inbox. I don’t bring a laptop to the patient’s room. So many annoying unnecessary steps that add on to my overall dissatisfaction with the Athena platform.
