missing journeys
The journey recording is very unreliable — nearly half my trips don’t get tracked. This defeats the purpose of using the app. Please fix the recording feature and make sure all journeys are captured.
Misses Half My Journeys
I’ve been really disappointed with the Aviva Journey App. The whole point is to track trips accurately, but it constantly misses journeys. At least half of my drives don’t get recorded, which makes the app feel completely unreliable. For something that’s supposed to give fair feedback on driving and help with insurance, it’s frustrating that it can’t even manage the basics properly. Definitely needs major improvements before it’s usable.

Braking Review Needs to be Fixed
I don’t what’s wrong with this app but the braking review needs a fix. I don’t know if it’s working properly.

Insure with someone else who isn’t false advertising
Just installed it and went home for lunch. You can drive absolutely perfectly while people are giving you the finger for following the speed limit and not flowing with traffic going 15km over. Speed limit, turning ect…. And they will deduct you in a classification called. “Context” this is there catch all to penalize you. Couldn’t believe I set cruse control drive perfectly and still went against me.

I like it!
Using this app has truly made me consider whether I’m a good driver or not. The app itself it’s easy to use, informational and intuitive. I was initially concerned that my train rides were being considered as me driving but they appear to have fixed that.
Barely functional
I’ve not been using the app long but man is it ridiculous. It only seems to track trips made if you have perfect cell reception throughout the whole journey. It doesn’t track any of my trips taken on rural roads where cell reception is spotty, which is the vast majority of my driving. Leading to very little information actually being tracked.

Unsatisfactory
It's inefficient, records in a way that penalizses everything and worst of all, doesn't record more than half of the times.
Not for Manual Vehicles
Constantly getting dinged for accelerating/braking when shifting. Randomly deducts for distracted driving when phone is nowhere near the driver - and nobody else in the vehicle - or if I even look at my phone after I’ve parked and turned off the vehicle. Context appears to just be a way to randomly reduce points.
Other similar apps allow for the driver to “remove” a bad rating (I think one a week) so if you get cut off and need to brake hard to avoid a collision or not hit a pedestrian, you don’t get dinged for it.

Just “meh”
This app has the potential to be decent if it actually worked at least half the time. It recorded my first few trips but after that it seems to record only when it wants to. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting and am now waiting to hear back after sending an email to support.

The app has potential to be good as it makes you more conscious of your driving habits but half of the time the app doesn’t even track my trips.
No « Other » option for rides
There isn’t an option when reviewing trips to flag if I’m biking or doing another activity and only does take into account if I’m driving or I’m a passanger which messes up the self reporting

Horrible app
This app detects me walking as driving. Doesn’t like braking - seems like it would rather you rear end someone instead of braking to avoid a collision
App not tracking
App is not tracking all rides, just randomly tracks a random trip. Also the speed limits are not correct, signage is saying 80 and I’m going 80 and it tells me I’m speeding, it was for a good 35km stretch.

The validity and accuracy of this makes it fully in question with the lack of support and failure to identify “distracted driving”.
I almost never write reviews because it’s never THAT BAD but this tops the list.

Solid app, but context scoring & discount policy need work
Aviva Journey definitely made me more conscious on the road. It tracks speed, braking, cornering, and distracted driving pretty accurately, and my score’s gone up to 98 since using it—so it’s doing something right.
But the context score drags it down. Not fair to get penalized just for driving at night or during off-hours, especially when that’s out of our control. What’s worse is having to keep this app for more than six months just to hold onto the discount. That shouldn’t be mandatory. A year is pushing it—six months should be plenty.
Also, I’d like more clarity on how long they hold on to all this driving data. Overall, it’s a helpful app—but there are a few things they need to rethink.

Not user friendly
Not able to provide information, every time says “ till not made any trip” so couldn’t use it. It’s a horrible …..
Worst app on iPhone
Lags, delays, hangs, and loops refreshing its crummy dashboard.. Your own terms of service says you are SELLING the gullible user data. At least sodomize and rape user privacy, or lack thereof, with a nicer app.
