Works Great. Changing the functionality was wrong

BACTrack Mobile did a software update a few months ago (6-8 or so) and during that update they dropped (3) important and key functions of the backtrack mobile APP /!device that all use to be included with the purchase of the device.

1) self photograph or Image
2) GPS maps location of where the Breathalyzer took place with timestamp
3) an embeddable url link that you could share via text when sending results to other people. i.e. co-parents before or after custody exchanged.

These were the reasons I purchased the device in the first place. Now that they did the upgrade, this functions are no longer available. You have to pay for their monthly plans at like $79.99 / month. So from free... to $80 or up to $120 month for some plans.

From Free to $5 tor $ 9.99 / month I could maybe understand., but $80 bucks per month... absurd

Sold as Anonymous, changed to account tracking

Bought a BACtrack device years ago. The app opened up and you pressed the button to blow.

Now you have to agree to a wall of conditions, supply an email and a non-optional name. This isn’t what I bought. My fun device that I occasionally used with friends to estimate our BAC’s is now just another data tracking tool.

Just let me open an app and use what I paid for like it did originally. At first I felt annoyed it required an app at all, but the app worked fine. Now it wants account login and name info and a history of BAC tests. No thanks. Wish I had bought a version with the screen on the side, no app required. I would have recommended this with the old app. But certainly not with the current version that needlessly requires your data and personal info.

Latest update blows

What happened to the blow countdown and the ability to send results through text message? Terrible update.

FAQ

What does the BACtrack app do?

The BACtrack app transforms your iPhone into a breathalyzer when connected to a compatible BACtrack smartphone breathalyzer. It allows you to easily estimate your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), view safety information related to impairment levels, and track your drinking habits over time.

How does the app work with a breathalyzer device?

The app connects wirelessly to your BACtrack smartphone breathalyzer (like the BACtrack Mobile, C6, or C8) via Bluetooth. Once paired, results from the breathalyzer are communicated to your iPhone and displayed within the app, providing a modern and convenient way to measure your alcohol level.

Is the BACtrack app free to use?

The BACtrack app itself is free to download and use. However, it requires a compatible BACtrack smartphone breathalyzer device to function, which is a separate purchase. The app may also offer in-app purchases for additional features or services.

What are the key features of the BACtrack app?

Key features include automatic pairing with your breathalyzer, quick BAC estimation, display of safety information on impairment, the ZeroLine® feature to estimate when your BAC will return to zero, the ability to save BAC readings to track habits, and integration with Apple Health for data tracking.

Who is the target audience for this app?

This app is designed for individuals who own or plan to own a BACtrack smartphone breathalyzer. It's for anyone who wants to monitor their alcohol consumption, understand how it affects their body, and make more informed decisions regarding their safety and well-being.
