Operating hours a bit misleading

Tour in NYC and London were fine but they could be a bit more clear upfront about how early the hop on, hop off hours run until (NYC it only ran until about 5:30 pm before the buses stopped running the routes, London did not go much later). They do offer night time tours but this is an entirely separate package. Suggestion would be to offer some type of combo package.

Missing a state

Bought a ticket for a tour of Philadelphia but the app doesn’t have the state as an option. Confused how I was able to get a ticket but the app doesn’t have the state listed.

Kidnapped by the BIG Bus

It was about 4:00 p.m. when we boarded the last BIG Bus of the day, hoping to travel to Harrods and then walk back to our hotel after 6:00 p.m.
Without any explanation, the driver suddenly slowed down and stopped the bus. Another company employee boarded and asked where we were headed. After we told him, he instructed us to leave our bus and board the one ahead, assuring us it would take us to our destination.
We followed his instructions, although there were very few seats available on the second bus. Once aboard, it quickly became clear that something was wrong. The route had apparently been reversed, and the driver was no longer following the advertised route. None of the passengers knew what was happening or where we were being taken.
Passengers were pulling up maps and comparing them to the route shown on the website, trying to figure out what was going on. It eventually became apparent that the employee who had boarded our original bus was attempting to reorganize passengers onto buses that would supposedly get them closest to their final destinations before service ended. Unfortunately, the driver of our bus appeared to have different instructions than what had been promised to customers.
The result was complete confusion. Passengers on the upper deck were shouting questions to the driver. Elderly passengers were distressed and trying to determine where to get off before being taken too far off course. Families with young children were scrambling to figure out how to get back to their intended destinations before it got dark.
The whole situation was poorly managed. I do not blame the driver, as it seems he believed passengers had already been informed about the changes. My criticism is directed at the coordinator who failed to properly communicate what was happening.
I understand that employees want to finish their shifts and go home, but there should be some respect for the tourists who paid for your service. Clear communication would have prevented confusion, frustration, and unnecessary stress for everyone involved.

A melhor experiência é ter o serviço de áudio direto no app, sem a necessidade de um app terceiro e o pior precisando do QRcode para abrir Pop Guide o que não existe quando você compra o ticket direto pelo app.

Useless

Doesn’t cover cities like Philadelphia where it is operated as a franchise. When booking it tells you to download the app and then you cannot move to any other city.

Routes not accurate

We waited at a stop and saw the bus coming our way and then it diverted. Someone then unrelated to the company informed us Big Bus wasn’t stopping at this particular stop today. It was diverting. Would have been a huge help if app showed that stop closed for the day.

In der heutigen Zeit kann man erwarten nicht ziellos an einer Haltestelle auf einen Bus zu warten. Navigation sollte den Standort des Busses in der App anzeigen, um unnötige Wartezeiten zu vermeiden.

No AC on Buses

These buses do not have AC, and I wish they fact was more visible on their website. Had I known it, I would have been more prepared or chosen another option like one of the city buses or an Uber. It was a hot day in Las Vegas and it felt like driving around in a microwave oven. They can’t control the weather, but they can control the information they share prominently in their promotional material. This was promoted as a great way to see the city, better than walking, but walking may have been a better option. The air on the bus was stifling.

WIEN: Weder Preise, Routenpläne und Abfahrtszeiten in der App stimmen mit der Wirklichkeit überein.

Good But Could Be Better

Used this app in Sydney for a combo ticket that included ho/ho bus, night tour and cruise portion offered by other provider. Most aspects of the app are great! Very usable way to see a place and make use of the service effectively. BUT. It turns out the in-app “ticket” for that the cruise provider is just a QR code with no info about how to use. In fact that ticket is only honored if you first go, in person, to a kiosk for activation and instructions for use. Why doesn’t the in-app ticket for that portion simply tell us where to activate AND/OR a link to a page with that info? There’s no earthly reason key info needed to “use” the ticket should be missing (where to present it for activation, how to access schedule info etc). Ultimately got it sorted 😊 but this could be improved.

Berlin - Super

Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht!
Wir haben die zwei Tages Touren durch Berlin gemacht.

Der Audio Guide ist ok und die Fahrt führt an allen wichtigen Orten vorbei bzw. hin.

Einzig alleine die Geräte um den Kanal umzuschalten waren sehr kaputt und deswegen musste ich meinen Guide auf English hören.
Aber sonst gab es nichts negatives.

Die Walking Tour war der Hammer! Ich hatte selten so viel interessantes gelernt über Berlin und muss sagen das würde ich glatt nochmal machen.

We weren’t able to get our tickets had to visit a representative. Also this app may need some attention as it seemed to drain battery life quickly from my device.

They removed the Russian language! Such clowns!

Desastre es poco

Dicen que pasan cada 30 minutos y tenemos MÁS DE UNA HORA en la parada esperando el autobús, con frío y viento. Para cambiar de línea morada a naranja obligatoriamente tenemos que llegar a la parada inicial. Es una estafa señores no compren este tour. 66€ perdidos y botados a la basura.

Unacceptable waste of time and money

We are writing to request a refund for our hop on hop off San Fran experience.

Yesterday, my family of four took the big bus tour which explore San Francisco. We only were able to make it to one stop. There was no hop on/hop off.

We boarded at 10:30 at stop 1. This is after having to wait for 30 minutes because the bus that arrived originally was filled.

When the bus stopped at Union square, the line of people to get on was insanely long and most people were not able to board. So we decided to hold off on that stop until later, not realizing this was a problem of not enough buses and not just the moment.

We got off at the Golden Gate Park, enjoyed the sights and went to the stop to board the next bus which was theoretically to be within 15 minutes. An hour later, the bus still had not arrived.

By the time the bus arrived, we were running out of time.

Horrible traffic left us stranded on the bus for another hour. We first went to the bus stop at Golden Gate Park at 2:15, but the bus did not come for us until around 3:20. Pictures enclosed as proof. We were the only ones able to board the bus at that time given that we had been waiting for over an hour.

We were unable to make anymore stops because it was so late.

The bus was way over crowded, hot and an all together awful experience. We paid for a hop on/hop off to visit the sites, but only was able to go to one place.

This was irresponsible- more buses should have been in circulation.

Bus tracking

Bus tours are great with good information but bus tracking is not accurate and makes waiting time very long. It doesn’t show all the buses so it makes hard to plan for when to finish at an attraction to get the bus without having to wait 45min for a bus.

Lousy service, avoid

We just finished our walk back to our hotel. There was supposed to be a stop right outside the door but they changed the route without notice. Several people around while we waited ten minutes for a bus who could have said something but no one could be bothered. The app works great, the service is awful.

Saugt Akku leer!

Und lässt mein IPhone 16pro Max heiß laufen! Hab alle anderen Apps geschlossen. Sobald ich die big Bus App starte wird mein Handy komplett heiß und ich kann zusehen wie schnell mein Akku gegen 0 geht!!! 😡
