I’m so disappointed with this bank words can’t even describe how stupid the policy is. My account was closed after 2+ years and when I asked customer service they couldn’t give me an explanations to why it was closed now I have to wait two plus weeks to get access to my money from the account and that’s really a inconvenience for my business I would not recommend them

Login stop working
This was working smoothly so far, but from July 20th, not able to login. No customer supper to help here.
Be aware of fraud
Opened the account, received debit cards, received payments in, and all of a sudden they closed the account for “security reasons”.
They mentioned that the money will be returned via check - since 6 weeks now waiting for that check.

Bluevine and Stripe
Do NOT use BlueVine if you intend to use Stripe for anything other than single payments. If you create BV account and connect it to Stripe, and want to set up a subscription, you can not. BV support is horrible at that point, pointing you to Stripe, who will then tell you that they (correctly) have no control over your BlueVine account, which is were Stripe was connected from. When you go back to BV, they will try to tell you it isn’t their fault, and to talk to Stripe again. It took FOUR back and fourths before BV admitted to being the ones needing to disconnect the account. One time, they even told me to close my Stripe account?! There is no way to close the account connection manually, either. No option exists for this in the mobile app or web dashboard. Absurd service, absurd integration complexity. I am currently in the process of switching my business bank after this travesty of customer support/success.

Liars and lawbreakers
Absolute garbage company first they accept me then they deny me then they accept me and send me a debit card. I get the debit card. Talk to him. Try to activate it then I’m denied again. Do nothing but waste my time. They told me oh we’re having a bunch of technical issues right now and all these excuses but they can’t give me a reason of which why they denied me and then just hang up on people

Closed My Accounts Mid-Call With No Explanation
Bluevine closed both of my business accounts without warning after I tried to deposit a $200,000 grant. Customer service refused to tell me why, even after escalation to a supervisor. They closed the accounts while I was still on the phone. I had payroll due the next day. They promised to overnight my funds and didn't. One check still hasn't arrived. Filed complaints with CFPB, FDIC, and BBB. Avoid for any real business banking needs.

2 Major Issues
1. The app does not work at ALL over VPN so good luck not getting hacked while you're traveling or using WiFi
2. The transaction history views do not show balance after each transaction, so you can't tell what your balance was on a specific date or after a specific transaction.

Latest release won’t let users sign in
The app is the only way for a business to deposit a physical check via mobile deposit. But the most recent release, 10.74.0 (1) doesn’t Lee me sign in. Worked fire a whole year just fine. So guess what? I can’t deposit checks from my customers!!! Bluevine support is a complete joke with nonsense troubleshooting such as: delete the app and install it again, your WiFi is associated with AWS, use just your cellar, install the app for you business cling on a neighbor’s smartphone to see if that works, get a new phone, and so on. As a result, I had to open another business checking account with a REAL bank. Bluevine is not a real bank, they are a financial technology firm that partners with a community bank. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from Bluevine.

Completely Useless
Received an email that my account was closed for no reason at all. This is disgraceful and I wouldn’t not recommend anyone to use this bank. It’s a complete waste of time and money.

I’m writing this to officially retract a previous negative review. It turns out the app issues I experienced were entirely on my end: you cannot use a VPN while logging in due to their security protocols. Tech support was right all along—my apologies to the BlueVine team!

No iOS 26 Support
iOS 26 released 6 months ago and the app still does not work on these phones. It's 2026, a bank's app needs to work on mobile devices. You haven't even updated the error message to reflect the incompatibility. If your engineers can't accommodate new iOS versions I have serious concerns about your ability to defend against hacks and malware.

Deposited $500 and woke up to it gone, no customer service number to call. I got no response! I REPEAT THIS IS A SCAM NOT A BANK!!!

I really wouldn’t recommend this bank to any businesses. Customer Service sucks i literally have been calling 12+ times to speak with MANAGEMENT. Waiting 1-3 business days is ridiculous. I’ll keep calling until I get the call!!!! This is whack. Next move is reporting this company to FDIC….
Horrible! Beware!
Held my deposit 8 full days, then froze my account and upon providing what they requested including (just an invoice for payment) they kept my account frozen for a total of 7 days and it’s still frozen! I emailed the invoice, they confirmed receipt, then a day later I checked online and it showed the invoice was still needed. Uploaded it and two days later it’s still not reviewed. They can even request more info and still keep my funds frozen. Horrible experience. Do not recommend!

AVOID at all costs for business account
I am a new small business owner and after some research went with Bluevine. Big mistake. While ACH transfers work; the bill pay function does not. My first 3 payments were taken from my account but not received by chase or the mortgage company after 2 months! I have had to pay out of pocket to cover these and now am missing 5k that blue vine says has been deposited but both vendors say they have not received. Customer support has been atrocious. All I need is transmittal reports for the transaction, and bluevine cannot supply them because THEY ARE NOT AN ACTUAL BANK and cannot fulfill basic banking inquiries. They are a middle man, and the real bank is some other coast bank that they have to call to get info from. Total disaster. I will be filing a suit against them.
Update: after many calls and waiting I finally was connected to someone at bluevine that was helpful. Got both of these issues sorted. Going from one to 3 stars. Still will not use bill pay with blue vine but ACH works well. Interest is the only perk.

Been with Bluevine since the beginning
And they have never disappointed. Easy to work with to pay bills, deposit money, and resolve problems whenever they arise. It becomes complicated at times because of affiliation with Coastal Community Bank will give pause for caution with unfamiliar vendors, but has not been a big issue. I have been very pleased with Bluevine.
