Just right!

This app is just what I was looking for and performs better than I had hoped. Lots of places to explore. I have been through the grinder lately and testing myself before, during, and after the various practices it prescribes has been very informative. I feel more confident knowing I can nudge my energy levels back toward healthy so easily. Update: I have added some HRV monitors to my therapy and they show just how helpful these exercises are. The variety of choices and calming presentation keep me coming back.

Response from developer

Thanks, glad to see you're able to use the app to get back your energy levels!

great potential

app could be perfect if it didn’t have a download glitch that effect some content, clicking on some content initiate a downloading screen that freezes the page and users are required to exit app to resolve the issue.

app could be perfect if it didn’t have a download glitch that effect some content, clicking on some content initiate a downloading screen that freezes the page and users are required to exit app to resolve the issue. some content ui is so badly designed—i can’t pergress past lung capacity module 10, module 11 and 12 text starts at the bottom of screen. this app should be a perfect app, it has so much potential.

Similar App w/developer support recommendations?

The app seems like it could be very good, but I get: low data quality alerts frequently despite following instructions, not moving etc. No response to multiple requests for help/input.

Total scam and waste of time

This app falsely advertised a 7-day free trial, yet I was charged $40 for a full year the moment I signed up for the trial. I disputed it with Apple and was shockingly denied a refund. To make matters worse, the app is nowhere near worth the price (which I would gladly use if it were given that I’ve now paid $40 for it!) — it offers maybe a dozen basic and boring sessions and brings absolutely nothing new to the table. It’s essentially an alleged breathwork app that appears to have been designed in 1981. It’s nothing more than timed music pretending to be breathwork. I feel misled, ripped off, and completely disappointed!

FAQ

What does the MindBreath app do?

MindBreath offers guided breathing exercises derived from ancient traditions and backed by modern research. It also features an integrated heart rate variability (HRV) monitor for stress and health analysis, helping users relax, manage anxiety, improve focus, and regulate blood pressure.

What are the key features of MindBreath?

Key features include guided breathing exercises for various goals like relaxation and focus, a live blood pressure monitoring feature during breathing exercises, advanced stepwise programs for lung capacity and immunity, and a comprehensive HRV heart rate monitor with detailed analysis of metrics like SDNN and Rmssd.

Is MindBreath free to use?

The app is available for free, but it does offer in-app purchases. This means that while you can access core features without cost, certain advanced programs or functionalities may require a purchase.

What kind of breathing exercises are available?

The app includes a variety of breathing exercises, from simple deep breathing with visualizations to advanced programs like Pranayama courses, Kundalini meditation series, and Tibetan breathing techniques such as Tummo. These exercises are designed to address specific needs like lung strengthening, immunity, and habit reduction.

How does the HRV monitor work?

The HRV monitor tracks your heart rate variability, which is a non-invasive measure of your autonomic nervous system. By observing the breath-cardio relation, you can gain insights into your general health, stress levels, energy, and performance capacity. The app provides detailed HRV metrics for analysis.
