Mauvaise application qui ne permet pas de comprendre les différents types de tickets. Même assez dangereuse car elle ne précise pas assez bien qu’il faut valider son billet avant de prendre le métro

App payment system needs work
Considering how up to date the UI is, I’m surprised the app is as convoluted as it is when buying tickets. When clicking pay by Apple Pay, I need to input my billing address manually, which you have access to from Apple, opening another site where I need to then sort Apple Pay there is also a pain and starting in the app would be far more intuitive. I then get two emails for each purchase from the app and the site. After paying, the site doesn’t always close, so I have to hope it’s sorted and navigate to the paid for ticket. The you’ve paid for a full fare ticket screen also feels useless, as the next thing I’ll want to do is either pay for another, or more likely validate my ticket. On a similar note showing the ticket to the inspectors shouldn’t be more than clicking on the ticket and we got them to do it for us the first time.

Stress free unlimited transport use. Setting up is a slight pain in the neck, but once you finish the set up process, purchasing and using is quite easy. Very beautiful city to explore. You do not need to scan the QR code every time youre on board. The ticket instructor will find out to validate your tix.

Keeps sending emails
I used this app one time 3 years ago on a trip to Budapest. Years later they are still emailing me about stuff to do with their app. The unsubscribe does nothing. They must have emailed about 30 times just because my credit card was expired- why they stored it in the first place, I was only there for one day.

Faulty App Scams Travelers
So multiple times I have bought a ticket and tried to validate it only to get “unknown error - ticket failed to validate” problem is that you can only validate a ticket before getting onto a tram which is only a 10 second window tops. So the first time I scanned and hopped onto the tram only for the app to say it didn’t validate, a fare inspect was by the door and instantly fined me $38 USD knowing fully well I attempted to validate my ticket but the app failed. After this incident there has been countless times that I’ve waited another 15 minutes for a next tram or bus than risk hopping on because this app fails to validate my purchased tickets.

Apple Issues
Downloaded app but could not verify identification during registration using email as the authorisation email hangs the mail account. Only closing internet connection releases the mail by which time sync with the app is lost. All friends with Androids had no problems. Has to be an Apple glitch. There 5 days, never did get it working. 2 stars only because it works with the clunky Flintstones Android processes.

Insanely Slow
A nice app otherwise but useless because it’s so slow.
Offensively terrible
This transport system tarnishes the name of Budapest, you can expect a more efficient and forgiving service in rural Mongolia. Every country that surrounds Hungary has a clean and effective system, so I don’t get how it’s possible to be this bad. I hope BKK gets bought out by a more humane provider.

Useless, buy physical tickets
App requires 5G with full antenna to maybe open if you are patient enough to wait 40 seconds or so.
In other words, where ticket inspectors are waiting to shoot your eyes with their laser scanners, you have nothing to show!
Instead of this BS app, do yourself a huge favor and buy physical ticket at a machine.

Purchasing ticket in the app? Please sign up, confirm your email, enter your name, enter your ID, take a picture of your passport, provide a drop of blood and then MAYBE we'll let you pay and have a ticket.

If you find the purchasing process unconfortable, you have the option to use our ticket wending machines or you can buy your ticket in person at our ticket offices and customer service centres which can be also found in the app. Our developers are making sure that the app is as confortable as it can be, the data requirements are required by law when you purchase something online.

Wir waren für 3 Tage in Budapest und die App ist sehr gut, wenn kein Ticket Automat in der unmittelbaren Nähe ist.
Die App ist auf Englisch, was aber in der heutigen Zeit kein Problem sein sollte. :)
Es gibt für alles Hinweise und Info Möglichkeiten.

Garbage
Payment system to add card or use apple pay doesn’t work. Errors out 100% of time. Useless
Rubbish app
App wouldn’t load up in time for me to scan QR before boarding bus. A minute later a ticket inspector got on bus and fined me $30 Euro for not scanning QR code. Feel like I’ve been scammed. App not good for tourists. Please avoid this app. I now have negative feels of Budapest.

Horrible app
Awful design. Tried to get a pass for the whole family. Took forever with lots of glitches to only find out that everyone needs the app and upload their passports.

Die App könnte cool sein wenn Sie funktioniert. Um Sie zu nutzen muss man sich anmelden, generell kein Problem. Doch der Login läuft nur über Mail Bestätigung, welche ich nach mehrfachen Versuchen nicht erhalte . Leider weniger als ein Stern :(

O can’t use it
Nu mă pot conecta la această aplicatie. Îmi solicită o adresă de e-mail și ulterior nu se transmite nici un fel de e-mail pentru logare deșii aplicație promite ca va trimite un e-mail. Din cauza ei am luat și amendă.
Bad planning
You can now pay tickets with Apple Pay, however the planning of the routes is so confusing.. We got lost many times, just use Google Maps
