Delay activation of Welcome to Berlin ticket
Purchased a 48 hr Welcome to Berlin ticket before arriving in Berlin. It activated immediately vs giving me the chance to activate or validate it later. Tech support was no help. Poor user interface for a very common purchase option!
Do not trust or get a fine
As soon as I arrived at the airport, I took the first train to get to central Berlin. When I tried to buy a ticket on the app, it was impossible to add a payment method, so I had no way to purchase my transport ticket. I explained the situation to the inspectors, but they would not listen or show any understanding. The result: a €60 fine for a malfunction that was clearly not my fault. This is unacceptable!

4-trip tickets disappear and login is broken
I usually buy the 4-trip tickets, but lately, the remaining tickets disappear right after I validate the first one. Following advice from other reviews, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now I can't even log back in due to a "Service unavailable" error.
It is very stressful to rely on the app when commuting. If a ticket inspector comes onboard, they won't wait for a technical error to be resolved before issuing a fine. I really hope the development team can look into these issues and fix them soon.

4-trip ticket didn’t work
Bought a 4-trip ticket, tried to redeem one for a trip, but it didn’t work. I tried speaking to the support bot, but it couldn’t give me any useful information. As well as a customer support worker in information machine — didn’t speak English and didn’t have any information at all. Another worker just told me to buy a regular ticket. So my problem remained unsolved.
2 stars for working before, but it is a basic requirement for an app.
Would like to have my money back because of complete incompetence of the staff and unsatisfactory service.

When you buy a ticket you have to logout / login again to be able to validate it

I bought a ticket and my card was charged but when I went into the app it showed no transaction history and said I had purchases no tickets.

DO NOT USE THIS APP
I purchased a bundle of four tickets through this app during a three-day holiday in Berlin (I am not German). The app worked fine the first time but when I tried to validate the second ticket, the app would not work. I got into a mountain of trouble as a result and BVG have been absolutely useless and failed to acknowledge any responsibility for their faulty app. Save yourself the trouble and buy paper tickets at stations instead.

The app doesn’t work
Installed the app, tried to log in and the button does nothing. Reinstalled the app, same again. Waste of time.
Useless
It just doesn’t allow to add any payment method; which makes it impossible to buy any tickets. It gives an error even before starting —“Cannot load payment methods”—, so the issue it’s not with my cards.

Unable to login to my account or pay a ticket, since the payment methods cannot be found. Why are you doing this to me if you tell me ‘weil wir doch lieben‘. What a joke

Leider ist es unmöglich für das Ticket zu bezahlen - wie ich sehe, haben viele Nutzer das gleiche Problem und das auch seit einer geraumen Zeit. Wann kommt die Lösung?
Terrible experience
A ticket got activated as soon as it was purchased without a warning. Had to buy another ticket when I actually got to the train station. It took me a few attempts for the transaction to go through. Very disappointed with the extra money spent.
