Practice test for DL
So I was using the practice test on the app. And I like to see the ones I pick and the ones a get wrong I screenshot it. So I can remember the ones I get wrong. Tell me why I did all the test and it gave me the same question I clicked it write. I got the same question and it said one was right and the other was wrong. But it was the same question. I corrected the second question with the answer from the first. Then it said ops you got it wrong. So either there a glitch with the test or something else. I’m also sure there a lot of questions missing from this test. I went to take the test at the dmv and only a few of these questions were on there. So it’s not practical if you’re not even sure what will be on the test and what won’t be. The app should have the actual test or at least most of the questions. So people who are trying to study are able to actually pass the test. And have a better understanding of the laws of the road. I hope this is improved. It could help a lot of people.

Terrible app
I went into the office and they said it’s really to update address on the app. The app just sends me in circles. So now I can’t pay my registration or update my address. And I can’t pay in person. Super helpful. You want my money or not?

The app is so unorginuzed and not detailed ami made an appointment for behind the wheel and when i got there they said you can’t take it you made an “appointment for the card” WHY DOESNT IT SAY ONLINE AND WHY CANT YOU GUYS GIVE ME THE TEST NOW ITS ALONE SANTA MONICA

You can’t even look at what appointments you have if you schedule one. It needs a new tab at mydmv like *myappointments

I never review things but only reviewing because of the low stars - this worked perfect for what I needed it for.
Nothing ever works
I try every year to renew anything that is needed. Very outdated & always unhelpful. Put in your correct information and it will never find your account. You create an account and you’ll have to long on every single time for no reason. Minus we’ll go wait in those inconvenient lines at the DMV. Could have saved so much time if they focused on the app so people can spend less time at the actual DMV

Genuinely one of the most frustrating Ui designs imaginable. The DMV is already a sluggish mess why not make the app the same but worse!

Can’t change address bad app design and functionality. State taxes working at its finest.
Simple and Easy
Was hesitant because of old reviews but I’m assuming what was glitching is fixed. The app was much easier than the website and quick to learn & use.

When I go to renew my application I just get a blank screen
Subpar password log in
It’s great to take your Face ID and log you in but try to log on with a password and email and everything freeze over and over can’t even use your keypad to type in your code.
Almost always gets stuck during refreshes
For some reason, the app requires you refresh your ID periodically. But almost every time I do, it gets stuck in the processing screen. The screen says not to close the app but eventually there’s no choice but to do so. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall the app, then re-enroll. If the DMV is serious about digital IDs, this needs to be fixed. Otherwise, it cannot be relied on.

Cannot find my appointments. Confusing and conflicting instructions. The app version of spending all day at DMV. Be just as frustrated at home for no particular reason.

We pay a lot of money to the state of California taxes in a whole bunch of vehicle fees yet even with all that money, they cannot write an app that does the basics worse. Their website is screwed up for Mobile. Have you tried to do a get in line on this app or on the mobile website? I'm unable to find it on the app and that would seem to me to be a pretty big priority item. The mobile site you can find it but it doesn't work they give you a number but they never refresh the screen and tell you where you are in line. I'm so disgusted with the state of California. It's 2025 and they're hiring three-year-olds to write their software. It's just unbelievable. As long as we pay them on the public dole, this will continue to happen. I did not vote for Trump, but maybe he's right. This kind of incompetence is just infuriating.
