Carrier Infinity Control Module
The Carrier smart app and and HVAC system control panel is not friendly to use whatsoever. I previously owned a Honeywell control system panel with iPhone app, and it was 1000% better and easier to use. The Carrier HVAC system seems to be a good heating and cooling system, but the control panel is the worst!!! The Carrier HVAC system was installed 12 days ago, and I am already having issues with the smart app. It is already showing it is offline, and I cannot get it back online.
I am contacting the company that installed the Carrier HVAC system to see if they can reinstall the old Honeywell control unit with its iPhone app. This is so frustrating since I just spent a large sum of money on the Carrier system. Huge Regrets!!!!!!!!! Carrier needs to develop a new control panel and a new smart app!! Terrible design , absolutely terrible.

By far the worst HVAC app
This is a terrible app. There’s nothing I can say good about it. As example, this app does not allow two critical functionalities. You can only set temperature zones and not a specific temperature setting. The status of the unit always says idle even when the unit is heating or cooling. The app is just so bad that I’m actually thinking about spending the extra couple hundred dollars to replace the controller to get a different app.

Nonintuitive Display
The screen is nonintuitive. The large main numbers should be the actual room temperature. The “setting” should be the small number. Go look at Trane - they have a better app.
App
The new app completely doesn’t work. My controller is connected to internet and the app says it is not so it can’t connect to the updated app. Totally useless IMO
Bizarre Interface
Looks like it was written in the 80's. Arcane interface reminiscent of something written 20+ years ago, and definitely not "smart". 30K for this Infinity system and this is the best they could do? The thermostat itself is just as stupid.

When the set point on my Comfort Profile reads Auto 68-74, what does that mean? Temp reading is currently 74

Offline a lot
Luke many other reviews, the app says my system is offline but I’ve verified that everything is connected to my WiFi. Seems like this issue began about a few weeks back.
Can’t Reconnect if Not at Home
Always loses internet connection when I’m away from home but can only be reconnected if I am at the

Absolutely horrible
1.2.35. Still have not fixed the most basic of items. What is my system doing? Wall controller on WiFi and all servers connected. Wall controller says cooling. Your “smart” app says idle. Your crack AI chat bot is useless. Request for tech support goes unanswered. @carrier your need to fix your trash app. This has been going on for g on for way too long.
1.2.34 is total trash. Nothing in the app is reflected on the wall co troller. WiFi connected and operational. Your new BOT help is useless. Submitted help request 3 weeks ago no reply. I am done with @carrier
Absolute worst garbage. App shows my system is “off”. Wall controller shows it in cooling mode(can see on security camera) Now I need to drive 2 hours each way to reset system by killing power. What’s the point of the software to remote monitor? @Carrier fire every software developer and fix ur trash this has been going on since you released your “SmartHome” app. Not very smart is it.

It “works” but…
Every other smart thermostat I’ve used have far better app features, the one missing here the most is a widget for home screen/lock screen. This one thing has me seriously considering swapping it for an ecobee. As for everything else, UI is uninspired, functionality is “ok” but appears to be absolutely the minimum effort.

Heat pump is not working but app says it is.

Appears last update broke the connection to my infinity servers. Please fix.
Needs work
Overall the app provides a snapshot of your system. The one bug that needs to be addressed is the current status mostly displays idle when the system is actually running.
Filter change indicator finally working as it should
Filter reset feature appears to be fixed after last update. Thank you.
Offline Issues
The app isn’t working since the most recent update. Frustrating since my thermostat is upstairs! It’s showing offline. My app is current and I even tried restarting my phone. Worked fine before.
Updates Are Worse
I have used this app for over two years. Every single update has actually decreased the usability of the app. Carrrier seems to be driven to make this app look like something to match appearance goals, not enhance user friendliness.
Worst app
This app is the worst app. It doesn't work. It keeps going off-line online. It's just horrible along with carrier.
App doesn’t reflect actual system status
I turned the system off completely via the app and noticed half an hour later that the thermostat was saying dehumidifying but the app said the system was turned off. I had to turn the system off manually via the thermostat interface. This is annoying because this app is constantly updated but can’t do the most basic functions

Carrier automation fail
I paid thousands of dollars to have a carrier dual
Zone system in my house. This system is not intuitive and very hard to setup. Zones and schedule often get confusing and after setting the schedule it becomes impossible to delete all of it. Lately it got stuck and the second floor did not receive any cooling but the system was saying everything was normal and operational.
