CBTi Sleep App
The CBT-i Sleep app is a solid, evidence-based tool for anyone struggling with insomnia or inconsistent sleep patterns. Built around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), it offers a structured program that helps users identify and change the thoughts and habits that interfere with sleep.
One of the app’s biggest strengths is its step-by-step approach. It guides you through core techniques like sleep restriction, stimulus control, and cognitive restructuring in a way that feels manageable rather than overwhelming. The sleep diary feature is especially useful, helping you track patterns and progress over time, which makes the recommendations feel personalized and grounded in your actual
Where the app really stands out is in its effectiveness. If you stick with the program, it can lead to meaningful improvements in sleep quality without relying on medication. That said, it does require commitment and consistency; it’s not a quick fix, and some of the techniques (like limiting time in bed) can be challenging at first.

I am still in the initial logging period
I have been using the app for less than 14 days. The app is pretty good so far except for one annoyance. There is a “Sleep Hygiene” section that you must complete from the previous day in order to log your sleep the next morning. In order to complete this section , you must check off that you “did” 3 of the items. But sometimes we just “mess up” and don’t accomplish 3 of them. As far as I can tell, you have to “lie” and check off 3 items anyway in order to proceed the next day. That seems like a bug to me. I think that the app should let you proceed and then track your sleep hygiene in the “Stats” tab.
