Silence Mode

Silence mode needs to be longer than 6 hrs! It is so frustrating that I cant control critical notifications. My phone my choice. Just make me agree that Im taking a risk by silencing it for liability??

Diabetes

I love this app to use for my type one diabetes. Diabetes is one small thing in your life and diabetes is not so bad. Sure there’s a few other steps to your life but it’s not a huge deal. This app is really helpful for my sugars, and you can share it for you to the people you love. You have to they have to get a separate app so they can see your sugars, other than them looking at your phone.

Oh and also if your turn your high alarm on and off then when you turn them on again the alarm won't work cause I got two 19.6 and another time I went to 30.9. I almost went to DKA and if you want me to go to DKA then don't fix the app but if you don't want me to go into DKA, then fix the app. I know this sounds harsh but if you figure of complaint you'll get good reviews and probably get a promotion. Like a really high promotion
And then you'll get more money. If you don‘t want more money then don't fix the app. If you do want more money then fix your complaints. So get off your butt and fix your complaints please. So you'll get some good reviews. And don't tell us to go to this email or thing in the creator of response give a honest response of this response in words not us having to go to email or website.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not working again

This hasn’t been the first time and probably won’t be the last time when I try and pair my Dexcom G7 to the app it does not go through completely and just tells me to put on a new sensor but on the graph it works that doesn’t make sense and then it’s telling me to pair a new sensor. I love it when it works, but it’s just been reoccurring and it doesn’t work and I can’t get more through my insurance because of this being so common

Worst App Ever Made

Worst app ever made, there are apps with 1% of the users of this one with much less lag, glitches, and problems. Alerts constantly don’t work, screen glitches make you restart the app constantly, notifications that pop up will cause the entire app to crash.

Alerts Drive Me Crazy 😡

I don’t know what was going on in your mind when you made this but apparently it’s SOOO inaccurate, it read 252 mg/dL when it was actually 195 mg/dL 😡 and the constant ringing drives me crazy I hate having to take my dosages for Inaccurate readings

Poor design, doesn’t work

Snooze button doesn’t work. Change the alarm sound but that didn’t work. Very frustrating as the alarm goes off every 5 minutes with high or low sugars. Just end up disabling the whole thing to be scape that bloody alarm sound.

5 stars

I love this app because I have diabetic type 1 and this app helps me know what’s my glucose levels and it goes good with my omnipod 5 so whoever has diabetic they should ask their doctor about this app and that’s all thank you Dexcom g7

Fix the Alerts!!!

I love my Dexcom in that the physical system does a great job giving me good readings and staying connected for the full 10 days. But the app is absolutely atrocious. I have different sounds set up based on the level of my low, but the app just has both go off no matter the level. I used to be able to tell how urgent the low was by the sound of the alert, but that’s futile now since every sound goes off every time. Additionally, I have the system set so high alerts should not go off between 10pm and 6am and all low alerts should be different from the sound during the day (to wake me up). But it generally just gives off the same sound no matter what time of day which is so annoying. These issues are incredibly frustrating and really defeat the purpose of selecting different sounds for different urgencies of lows. This needs to be a priority fix!!! I have reported this feedback numerous times directly within the app and have never heard any response or seen any fix.

Edit 1: It has been a month since I first reported these concerns and I haven’t seen any updates or fixes, nor have I heard from the company. I still love the actually physical Dexcom, but the people in charge of running the app clearly do not understand the importance of their jobs

Great tool if your goal is to burn out from managing diabetes faster

If you can somehow still get a G6 or another company, I highly recommend using that instead. First, in terms of hardware, the G6’s adhesion was engineered well and despite not coming with an extra patch to secure it, it held on much easier and smoother. You will have to end up spending more money ordering new patches to secure the G7, the one it comes with will never properly secure the sensor so if money is an issue, you will need to factor the extra cost of the patches or risk your sensor falling off anytime you wear a shirt with sleeves. The one silver lining of this more error prone design is that customer support is very helpful with providing quick replacements of failures so I recommend contacting them for help as needed.

The app itself is also impossible to use on a phone. Dexcom is actively removing options from how you can customize your notifications. I like to keep my alerts to trigger slightly before critical levels to correct ahead of time and sometimes I won’t need to correct it. Unfortunately, you would probably need to buy a second phone just to use dexcom on it the way its notifications just hijack everything you do. If you use your phone to call, listen to music or watch any form of video, that functionality will be severely hampered because for some reason all alerts from the app were modified to behave as critical alerts with no way to shut it off. This means all other audio on your phone is basically indefinitely interrupted until you manually accept it. If you can’t reach your phone for whatever reason (cooking, driving, dirty hands, etc…) everything is basically shut off. This is not helped by the fact that sometimes you can acknowledge an alert and it will instantly replay right after you acknowledge.

The only solution is to avoid frustration is to set incredibly long down periods between alerts, which obviously comes with its own problems for your health if you’re trying to use this to keep tabs on your blood sugar. As somebody who used previous versions and was very grateful for the help, I can confidently say it feels like the G7 was made to remove any attempt at convenience in the life of diabetics.

Never last the full 10 days

It acts like an alarm clock and never last the full 10 days for months on end it just got to 5.

I love this thing. It’s changed my life.

1) I don’t care if it doesn’t work perfectly. It’s helped me so significantly to control my spikes like nothing ever has.
2) Yes, I have to calibrate it every time I start a new one.
3) Yes, it’s expensive.

It’s the best thing out there and 10/10 would recommend.

First time setup as the adult with a minor is awful

You can’t skip the pairing prompts and if you pair with your phone first you have to uninstall

What a trash experience and awful for parents like me to go through when it is already stressful

Deeply flawed

This thing keeps me awake all night with artifact alerts. Then I go to turn off the notifications and it kills the app. What on earth…

Downhill quicker than Jack and Jill

Terrible accuracy. Eight years with dexcom. I’ve packed my bags and moved out. I’m headed to Freestyle to test the waters there.

Direct to watch

My Dexcom literally never wants to pair with my Apple watch and that is legitimately the whole reason I got one😀 Bluetooth needs some fixing🙄

Update

Please 🙏🏼 Don’t Get Rid Of the 10 days please. The 15 days hurts 😭 when they stay on too long.
Make it where we can do dark mode and light mode Please! make the font bigger all the words bigger please. !!!!🙏🏼

Not sure what happened

With the latest IOS update and the latest Dexcom update my glucose meters keep losing signal. The only way it to consistently turn off and turn on the phone or close the app and then put it in airplane mode in order to get it to read and show a reading and then in about 15min it loses signal again. Even though I and simply sitting with the phone in hand. I am going back to finger stick testing. This has become ridiculous

App freezes

Dexcom G7 freezes when user selects Profile option and cannot access any information located inside that section.

New update ruins sleep

This gets two stars because it still sometimes shows my glucose level.

But the new update that requires critical alerts means that every little thing that goes wrong will loudly interrupt sleep or other activities. My partner has to wake up early and the app is making it near impossible for her to get rest.

Also they still haven’t introduced dark mode. Absolutely amateur hour.

Unstable / Never a moment of peace

“Dislike” isn’t a strong enough word. It’s a poorly developed app that doesn’t receive regular updates - if there’s a bug, you’re stuck with it and the loud critical alerts that go with it. They wake you up in the middle of the night, embarrass you in public places/meetings, and assure that you never have a moment of peace - worse, some of it is just a marketing ploy. Persistent alerts are required for readings and they also go off when you need to buy another G7. I hate this device and will be looking i to replacements. Today it woke me up bc i needed to but a new G7… seriously
