delta / brizo have killed steamist
In my current usage of the DFC@Home application for the warm-up cycle of my unit, I am constrained to a 15-minute duration, which is insufficient for the unit to attain the necessary operational temperature. Previously, the system allowed for a warm-up period extending to one hour, which was more conducive to my needs, as approximately 25 minutes is required to reach the optimal temperature. The necessity of manual intervention at the unit after a mere 15 minutes negates the convenience of remote application control intended to preheat the steam room.
Moreover, the former application featured integrated access to Pandora and Spotify, enhancing the user experience with seamless musical accompaniment. The current system’s reliance on input or Bluetooth connectivity for audio presents a significant inconvenience, as it precludes the ability to manage music selections from within the confines of the shower—the location where such control is most pertinent. The absence of a Bluetooth-enabled device within the steam shower environment, coupled with the impracticality of the input options, further compounds this issue.
In essence, the Delta Brizo brand seems to have deviated from the previously established standards of user convenience and technological integration that Steamist had adeptly maintained until a few months prior to its acquisition by Delta Faucet Company. The current state of affairs suggests a retrogressive shift in the user experience.
