Bad for small screens

The app is not designed for small screen phones. Their messages pop up blocking the entire screen, cant scroll up or down, so it’s fully blocked and not able to access functionalitiea

Most expensive and hardly works.

This is a poorly services badly designed product.

Inconsistently works

This app works sometimes but not consistently all the time. When I just pulled up to the charging station, it said it did not recognize my account, even though I have a balance on the account and have been an account holder for many years. The company needs to fix this problem so that when customers want to use their app to pay for a charging session, it doesn't deny access like this.

Worst customer service

Currently stuck at a charging station with 2% because NONE of their charging station at this location are working. I was told twice by two different “customer service workers” it was my card even though everyone here was having the same issue. After I changed the card it still wasn’t working for anyone and we were told if we leave are cars here they can be towed. They offered us a towing service that we would have to pay for if we chose to take the car somewhere else. When asked to speak to someone higher up I was told no one was available smh. The worse experience with these damn charging companies. And they charged $20 holding fee.

This was the worst thing about ChargePoint but now they've brought it to this app/network

I just opened the app to charge my Bolt and whatever they have updated just doesn’t run on my iPhone (15, iOS 26). Thank God there’s an EVgo station about 5 miles away. Its app works, and 95% of the time its chargers work too. Unlike EA. Only stopped here because there are a lot of shopping and food options nearby for our road trip break.

Made the app even worse

How was it possible?!? They made the app less intuitive, with fewer functions and less functional. I typically charge at home but need to charge while I was out. Beside the fact it is almost 8x the cost to charge with EA than it is to charge at home now I have another reason not to use EA.

The service is very bad

The system is very bad, it has even charged me up to 4 times, the clauses are not very clear and they charge you a lot for leaving a few extra minutes, it’s a very bad system, it’s not the best system

Temp holds!!!

I’d been using electrify America for almost three years now and initially I thought they had a great system by preloading an account. Since they did away with they charge a $20 temp hold for every time you charge making my monthly long distant trips far more expensive now. Not to mention if the charger gives you an error and won’t charge and you try again, there goes another $20 for the same attempt to charge. I will no longer use this service for charges.

NEW UPDATE NO GOOD!

Why would you completely change the way your app is operated. This new update is complete trash. Can’t modify how much is pulled from my debit card like you used to be able to. Why would you make an amazing app then turn it into what it is today? Completely ruined the beauty it used to be.. disappointing.. Electrify America became GREEDY.

Currently having difficulty setting up account

I am buying a used EV and I’m looking for charging options. I downloaded the app but this afternoon and evening it will not send me a text message to verify setting up my account. I doubt it that I can get help with this on a holiday weekend so I will try again Monday.

No customer service

This company has gone downhill. No one answers the customer service line. Seriously a waste of tax dollars.

No support

This business doesn’t provide billing support. I was changed $15 and $10 and another $10 all on the same day as some sort of preload. There is no receipt in the app for the $10 charges, only on my credit card bill and the woman I spoke to in India on where ever she’s located said they cannot generate receipts, and I needed to go to the app. Don’t bother with this pyramid scheme scam.

From good to trash

Do not i repeat do not get this company u have to a 40 dollars jus to get a charge they hold 20 n they dnt even take from that they jus take 20 n give it back after but if u only have 20 to ur name n on 10 percent or down bad ur screwed bec that 20 u have means nothing u cant even charge ur car they use to be so good n no holds an the membership was worth it but now its not even worth it im already liking. For a new place to charge bec this is ridiculous

Cost/charge

They need to figure out a good system on how we pay , at first I really didn’t like the auto reload option because I could auto reload $10-$20 but could only use a certain amount because if it drops to $5-$3 it will stop charging like why not accept the full balance ? Now with this new future where it automatically takes $20 from your account if you only charged with $10 it takes days to get the remaining balance back but what if I don’t have $20? And only need to pump $10 honestly the auto reload was better then this new method to be honest I’ll be changing charging providers if it stays the same

Terrible.

Got rid of the add your own balance so they can fork a mandatory 20. 10 was fine but 20 is ridiculous
