A garbage app. No quality control at all.
Tons of work to link receipt to auto imported card expense
Using the app i could not get the receipt image uploaded to the autogenerated expense fr my company card. Looks like the photo file size was too big for Emburse. I don’t know. Please make this easy.
Overall just OK
To start with the multi-factor authentication has letters and numbers in the 6 digit code? Seriously and it doesn’t matter if you use upper or lower case on the letters. Talk about overkill. In general it’s just kind of chunky. Previous expense systems used were much easier to use. Functions fine you just won’t enjoy the ride.

AI integration done tremendously bad
Literally the worst AI integration I have seen, in any app, ever. Populates fields with wrong info, scans dates wrong if you are in Europe, “tech add-ons” that do nothing apart from leading to more work.
Worst thing to happen to my business travel so far, by a MILE! Certify was so much better, what a pity they were acquired by you folks!

It used to work
At one point I really enjoyed using the app. It used to make managing expenses and submitting reports fast and straightforward. Not anymore, there is now layer after layer of complexity and the “AI” (not actually AI) has more control than the user. Simplicity is what made this app better than the rest, and it is gone now. I do not recommend using the app.

Horrible update
The update with their AI and new interface is just awful. Doesn’t save correctly, constantly generates wrong date and numbers. AI doesn’t save time, it wastes my time. Fix it
It use to be good
When it was certify it was much better but even when it first switched to “professional” it was fine. This newest update is the biggest piece of trash and has completely ruined the QOL of the app. Now it automatically uses ai to scan your receipt which usually means you have to change just about every category and the date always seems to be 1 day off. Not to mention the constant “sorry it appears you’re offline”which makes you delete your receipt and close the app just to reopen it and do it again, but hey you’re magically online again. The worst bug of all is when you take a picture of the receipt fill out the categories save it and then it says cannot display image. Rant over…

So unnecessarily difficult to use
This app feels like it was designed by someone who has never actually entered data into a phone before. They have never typed names and numbers, never selected from a drop-down menu, never needed to advance to the next screen. There’s just no way that someone who has used a smartphone in the last 18 years would make the app work the way it does; so clunky and slow, so much jerking in and out of fields and up and down on the screen, with such huge delays between pressing a button and having it register. It feels like a beta app from 15+ years ago.

Offline?!
App keeps going offline and the only difference is I’m on WiFi now. I should be 2 times faster than on cell data only so WHY offline?!? I had to uninstall and reinstall to fix it. This app was so much better when it was called “Certify”.
Latest app update is not good
This used to be a very easy to use app that only took 30 seconds to enter and expense. I do not like how the scroll list appear now. Also when scrolling it is not very responsive intake several tabs to get it to recognize your tap. I feel like the app is not as intuitive anymore either.

They have recently updated the app with some stupid new looks. The cost? Completely useless. Receipts don’t sync. Harder to use. Someone needs to lose their job over this!
New “AI” update
I used to love this app and be able to do my expenses in about 4 mins. This new update is the worst! It’s slower, taking pictures is harder and the fake ai enters in wrong info and the wrong dates. Please fix.

This new update is absolute TRASH! Super hard to use and organized in a clunky way. What do users do often? Create new expenses in the mobile ap. What do they never do? Create a new report in the ap. Why are they near each other? Seriously disappointed and it’s hard enough to use I likely won’t.
Most recent update is the WORST!
Before this recent update, I had little to no issues with submitting expenses. The A.I. assistant constantly “autocorrects” what I type; there’s no way to turn it off either! It’s so annoying to deal with now!
New design is an insult
The new design is an insult to its users.
Terrible quality
Extremely slow and buggy. My manager kicked a report back to me to edit and it took 30 minutes for it to return to my drafts. And then Emburse wouldn’t allow me to delete an expense off of the report so I had to recreate the entire report just to have that particular receipt not on the report. Unacceptable for a “professional” service and I dread expensing things because of it

It’s fine
Generally speaking, the service is easy to use. Of course it’s 1000 times easier than filling out a spreadsheet every month.
The auto capture feature is OK. At times I find that even with a JPEG upload it will cut out information that is required so I end up having to move the crop bars so that all of the receipt is visible.
The auto fill has gotten slower. If it wasn’t for the fact that I have probably started driving I would have just typed the information in myself.
It would be great if you all would add an option to add receipts from inside of the expense report draft as I work through my drafts I will often find that I am missing a receipt, and I have to leave the draft and go back to receipt receipts to upload it. It was streamline the process if I could just tap add receipt and snap a photo of the receipt they go straight into my.

Confusing & Redundant
App is unnecessarily difficult to use and makes you enter the same things over and over. Fills me with rage every time I am forced to use it.
