Service is not what it use to be
Unfortunately the service we have now is not as good as it used to be. Most of the maintenance crew are very good and I appreciate the hard work that they do. However the property itself doesn’t look like it use to. The property use to have a gardening crew that was here every day and was maintaining the back of the property a least once a week and now we are lucky if they are out at the back just mowing the lawn once every two weeks and they say that is if it needs it and they do little else. If trees are overgrown, I have to call someone to attend to it. This is something that gardeners should be attending to atomically and noticing, but when they aren’t here, how can they? Patch work seems to be the way this property is being taken care of instead of maintained. Hiring people who aren’t respectful of residence property is another issue. I’ve had my car and items on my patio damaged by painters that they’ve had to pay for because of neglect and irresponsibly. All in all, the property was much better maintained years ago when we had on site management. Now it just seems as if Essex doesn’t care and that’s too bad because I like living here, I like my living space. It’s a peaceful community overall and I enjoy living in Alpine, but the maintenance and upkeep of the property has really taken a hit since management has gone off site. I’ve lived here 20 years and I can honestly say that this place has seen better times because of management of property and gardening overall. The light at the front of the property has been out for over a year and I have let management know about it several times. It’s difficult to see the entrance to the property because it’s not lit at night! Why this hasn’t been fixed, I can’t even guess. Essex has some beautiful properties, but they have let this one run down. It’s a shame.
