Don’t buy
Purchased S3 and doorbell camera at Costco. Got them home installed them and tried to set up with eufy app. Was a nightmare. I have installed ring cameras and doorbells before as I’m an electrician. I also previously used Arlo cameras. All were super simple to set up. Eufy on the other hand would not work for me. After several attempts to get cameras to connect via router/wifi it would give an error message and then funnel me to purchase the home base. I could not get them to connect. Took them back to Costco. And deleted the Eufy app. Don’t buy Eufy, save yourself the headache.

July 2026 Horrible Update
This new update is bad since the new eufy smart display came out i can’t control the 360 cams, tilt up or down i can’t only zoom in and out. So they limit every other brand like google or Amazon in order to make you purchase the eufy E10 display,, i do not see any other reason to make such a dumb decision.

Not good anymore
These cameras were excellent at one time. I can’t recommend anymore. They never load the whole video. They ALWAYS say decrypting from local store. It’s not the cameras. It’s the software. Eufy please fix this.
They Keep Breaking the App!
I’ve been using the Eufy security app for 2-3 years now and loved it. Normally this would be 5 stars, but I’m tired of the updates breaking the app.
They keep doing frick’n updates that constantly break the danged app and its chapping my hide! It’s getting ridiculous the amount of times in the past ~6-8 months I’ve deleted the app, reinstalled the app, cleared cache just to get it to work. It’s becoming a PITA! Now they’ve done some danged update and my notifications are fine, but when I go to the app, the saved events are greyed out and the videos never load. Pull your danged heads out of your tail-ends Eufy and get it right before you ever do the update!y Aqara app has never had issues like this and they update fairly frequently sometimes!
