I highly recommend considering services!

Services offered through Faithful Counseling are customized truly to suit your therapy preferences as a client. Therefore, its truly client-centered. My therapist, Cynthia, is truly timely, responsive and gives practical feedback to help me address my specific needs. Additionally, you have the opportunity to choose the way youd like to meet with your therapist (chat, video etc.). This is great for someone like me whose on the go typically and I save tons of gas if you know what I mean. I truly recommend services offered through Faithful Counseling to suit your therapy needs so you too can reap the benefits Im beginning to have since I signed up for services recently.

Poor Service and Ripped off my brother.

If you’re in need of help and see this please avoid the headache and go somewhere else. My brother was having a crisis and I found this app for him to get scheduled to talk with someone and he had specified needing to talk to a male therapist/counselor. They charged him $400 and then matched him with a female counselor after giving him a run around on the phone about payment. He told the counselor as soon as the call started he was done and they only partially refunded him. After stealing $200 from him he has been unable to get back it added further distress to someone already in a crisis and made things so much worse. My brother is now in a hospital undergoing evaluation against his will after becoming a danger to himself. The horrible service from this app was not the cause, but definitely did nothing to help and only made things worse by convincing an already distressed person that therapy is just a scam.

Response from developer

Hello there, thank you for sharing this feedback. I am very sorry to hear about this experience and it does not sound usual. We would like to look into this further for you. To discuss, can you please contact us at contact@faithfulcounseling.com?

Effective

For those of you who have things to say but you don’t want to verbalize them or you are better at conveying thoughts through writing, this is the counseling for you. Have a chat session! I chose the chat for the first visit and it was way less awkward than any in person or video session I’ve had. It also has a cool preview feature so you can read as they type a response which makes the whole thing go faster and is really efficient. At first it was weird but then really helpful.

Platform could use work on its capacity to simultaneously work from different devices. I was on video in the app with my therapist and needed to access a worksheet, but couldn’t log in while in session. The video function is pretty basic. I would appreciate a waiting room or to link to a location on the website or app while waiting for my session to start - instead of the therapists video just popping up when they start the session.
I’ve lost journaling several times in the app just because the “close” link is always visible and bright red, where as the “save” and “submit” link is at the end of the worksheet.

Great interface for therapy

The app makes managing the different aspects of my therapy—live sessions, messages, groupinars, journaling—seamless. I don’t have to wonder where to go for different activities. I log in and it’s all there. No searching the website and login information.
The app is password protected for each launch. So I don’t have to wonder about anyone having accessed to my therapy because they have my device unlocked. The app has its own password.
I’m very pleased with the interface.

FAQ

What is Faithful Counseling?

Faithful Counseling offers accessible, high-quality mental healthcare provided by licensed Christian therapists. It connects users with professionals through various communication methods like direct messaging, phone calls, and video chats to address personal challenges.

What kind of therapists are available?

All counselors on Faithful Counseling are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited professionals, including psychologists, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors. They all self-identify as practicing Christians and have verified their beliefs align with the platform's Statement of Faith.

How does the counseling process work?

Users have a private, secure virtual 'room' for 24/7 communication with their counselor. This involves ongoing dialogue through messages, where users share their experiences and concerns, and counselors provide feedback, insights, and guidance. Phone or video sessions can also be scheduled.

Is there a limit to the number of sessions?

The description indicates that users are not limited in the number of messages they can send, referred to as 'sessions.' This suggests a flexible approach to the duration and frequency of therapeutic engagement based on individual needs.

What denominations of Christianity are represented?

The platform aims to provide spiritual healing for individuals across various Christian denominations, including Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, and others. Counselors are equipped to offer guidance based on Biblical teachings and a shared Christian perspective.
